But there are now a lot more promoted deals which aren’t actually deals and just make the app more money. Also it seems mods and users that have been on the site for years will delete comments/posts and just generally attack users who aren’t as active because they ‘know more’. People take the site far too seriously. Not sure how an app that posts deals can become toxic it’s hilarious. If you can download it and somehow manage to avoid promoted deals, mods and most of the community then it’s a decent app **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. Wont be using this app anymore.Also got a message from the dev saying i would be banned if i keep voting stuff down. Unfortunately, now it’s full of people who just post “deals” they find on Amazon or Lidl. They don’t buy those things but are happy to recommend them to others. It’s a constant spam in which great deals get lost because you have people who posted 23k of deals in few years! With the recent update i can only see two deals at a time, and that could be sponsored deals and pinned offers. What’s worse is my confidence in Apple’s AppStore ratings. 6 months of 1 star reviews and it still has a rating of 4.7. Apple App Store is broken. 😞 ### 1/5 — Spoiled by bad design choices *2025-12-31, version 7.33.0* I’ve used the site and app for years and it was good. What a shame that the recent design choices have made it so much worse than it needs to be. The spam push notifications, “big” UI design, alert feed changes all hinder usability. I can only assume some idiot at the top is choosing to chase money instead of user engagement. Only permit deals to be displayed that they receive commission. 😳 ### 1/5 — Questionable Ad Practices Prioritised Over User Trust *2025-12-15* The app is littered with questionable ads, which is extremely concerning. I reported this to the support team but never received a response. I also started a discussion about the issue, which was promptly taken down. When I followed up, I was told the problem would be addressed once the relevant team was online. I’ve since checked the app and the ads are still present. After querying again, I was told it would be fixed “in the near future.” At this point, it appears the app is prioritising questionable ad monetisation over user trust and experience. ### 1/5 — Constantly crashes *2025-12-13, version 7.32.2* As soon as I click any deal the app crashes and force closes itself. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Complete and utter garbage *2026-05-12, version 7.39.0* Users can post a listing of a game from Steam that looks like it was made within 30minutes to an hour and that will get hundreds if not thousands of upvotes but the moment you make a new account and post a good/interesting deal on a graphics card, they will ban you for ‘spam’ instead of saying that there was a mistake in the listing. Also censoring valid criticism of this website like the mods is a wild thing to do. I would rather rely on deals from elsewhere than this even if that meant I would find no good alternatives than this. ### 1/5 — Bad user design *2026-05-07, version 7.39.0* The adverts on the app are too sensitive. Trying to initiate a scroll from anywhere near the ad will act as a click and direct you to the advertiser. Suspect this is by intent. They rule you are doing self advertisement (false statement) and block your account without being able to appeal. Seems like the publication of deals are only left for a few selected accounts and not letting “normal” users earn votes as they automatically ban you. Their update: “our communities have rules in place to ensure our community is presented with unbiased content, conversations are friendly.” My update: I haven’t published any biased content and my conversations were never unfriendly. You also haven’t showed any proofs of your claims. Therefore, my original review stands. **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback, and we're sorry to hear of your experience. This is the best app to find good deals if you want to save some money. But only problem of this app is it won’t keep the last status correctly. If I press the home button while hukd app opens and open another app then if I come back to hukd app, it refreshes and going back to beginning. Please fix this issue.
