I've only read 3 issues. Now they've done an update which is only for newer iPads making my subscription a big waste of money. I cannot view any new magazines and they have my money! The app has been updated to a iOS which doesn't work on my original iPad so now I am unable to read this magazine I have paid for. ### 1/5 — Charging print subscribers for this app? *2013-07-18, version 4.0* As a long-time print subscriber (around 10 years), I am very put off by the decision to charge print subscribers for this app. The editorial reasoning is weak from a loyalty point-of-view: "We completely redesign every issue of H&H Magazine for our iPad App and produce iPad-only extras such as videos, slideshows, interactive graphics and more. This requires substantial time and resources." Oh, boo hoo. Their reasoning is offensive because it denies print subscribers access to the special features that are being created for the iPad version. I am so annoyed by this that I do not intend to renew my print subscription when it comes due later this year. How does H&H expect to compete when they're turning off their most loyal readers? ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Poor image resolution *2026-06-22* I have subscribed for years. Suddenly, in the past few issues, the quality for most pictures/images has declined - a bit fuzzy. I use an iPad Pro. I may not renew if this is not fixed. ### 1/5 — App no longer supported *2021-02-25* Hello, I wanted to let people know before they download this app that House & Home customer service informed me that the IOS app is no longer supported. I can no longer access magazine issues which I previously purchased. Enjoyed it due to the interactivity of the online magazine. Since it has been updated, it’s basically a PDF version of the physical magazine. Also, I’ve lost all my downloads/ previous purchase starting February 2018. I am not willing to pay $3.99 for each magazine download that i already paid for. The articles show high quality decor but also lots of ideas for the average home. One of the better decorating magazines I’ve found. Some of the reviews say there are problems with the app but they are old. I find no problems and like the videos.
