### 5/5 — Wow…

*2024-05-22, version 1.2*

I have to say this has really exceeded my sonic expectations. Hard to imagine but it’s true, your iPad can sound like a Rhodes.

### 5/5 — Great Keys

*2023-03-01*

Innovation and education are, for me, two great pillars of our society. And when applied in music I am very excited. This is a wonderful app, and here innovation is in support of education. It doesn’t get any better than this😎

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2022-04-03, version 1.1.2*

iOS! fast convenient.

### 5/5 — Top tier sound

*2022-03-28*

Far and away the best sounding rhodes I’ve come across on iOS. Heck I even prefer this app to most of the rhodes VSTs on my laptop (addictive keys included). Keep up the great work!

### 5/5 — Why I dig it, and the one little issue for me

*2022-01-26*

Firstly , I loved the history of this iOS app.
The educational nature of it really inspired me to buy
It.
Your straightforward explanation of the layout and design
Was spot on and well done.
As a hack (never lie to yourself my day always said) keyboard
Player, I love the sound of a board like this.
It inspires me to try an be better.
The one teeny tiny issue was I wish it was a touch louder.

Thats it.
I love it

### 5/5 — Amazing

A home run you can feel good about.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not available on iPad iOS 18

*2025-02-21, version 1.2*

I cant select this as an instrument in Logic on my iPad despite it saying it has AUV3 support.

### 1/5 — “House Mark“ is not available on your iPad

*2024-10-20*

The only AUV3’s I’ve ever had a problem with are the ones based on AudioKit. I opened an old file I hadn’t played in awhile and it said that “House Mark” is not available. I went to see if I could select it and, yup, no problem. I tried deleting and re-installing it and, still “House Mark” is not available. I’m glad I’ve already exported that song to an audio file as I remember choosing particular settings for House Mark such that just moving the notes to the NEW “House Mark” track doesn’t work to reproduce the sound. As exporting my music out of GarageBand is absolutely something I should be able to do and this prevents that, it gets one star. Be aware that if you use this, it may randomly indicate that it’s unavailable in the future. Fortunately for me, it’s only a critical part of that one sone.

### 1/5 — Not velocity sensitive

*2024-03-05, version 1.2*

Seems like it only has two velocity levels. The timbre of the two is very different. If you are a pianist avoid this one.

### 1/5 — Broken since the update on ipad pro with 16.2

*2023-11-26*

Hi,
Since the update the ipad states that the app “ house mark “ is not installed even thought I can open and play it.
I think the name was messedup in the update as the 1 is missing.
Kindly fix!

Nik

### 1/5 — Urgh

*2022-10-15*

It’s just not accurate or nice to play. There are 80s synths that make a better rhodes sound than this. The thing that upsets me is the misleading sales pitch and reviews.

### 1/5 — App Volume Way Too Low

*2021-11-25*

This app is unusable when running with other apps in an AUV3 situation, as even with the master volume turned up full, it is way too low volume compared to every other VST I have on iOS, which numbers in dozens. Too much hassle to adjust volumes across all the other apps I sometimes have running in AUV3 projects, just to match House Mark 1. It will not be used until hopefully fixed, even in standalone, as I have other electric piano apps that function properly.

### 1/5 — ‘No tines, no noise, no feel, no vibe. It’s not there’

*2020-10-29*

I don’t know what people are hearing that I’m failing to on this one. I find it a muddy mess and rather poor. A mediocre Rhodes electric piano sample with zero clarity and an adjustable key noise sample volume control to play with coupled with some regular effects found in their other apps. Charitable or not (it’s mentioned in their media content promotions) this isn’t worth $3.99 let alone their proposed regular price of $14.99 no matter how many ‘Grammy winners’ are name checked as collaborators as purchase bait.

Deleting and refund requested. If AudioKit Pro are going to ‘collaborate’ and have the collaborator be the voice of the promotions, create another developer name in the App Store to keep your brand reputation strong. This isn’t worth it.

### 2/5 — Inconsistent volume/velocity response and abrupt sample stepping

*2022-10-07*

Velocity response has very abrupt “stepping” between the rounder mellow “soft” notes and the classic growl of the “heavy” notes. What really ruins the experience for me is the growly notes are actually QUIETER than the softer ones!

The samples catch some really interesting nuances from the tines and seem high fidelity but there can be a very distracting background hiss in some.

I am using this with a MIDI keyboard that works great with every other well known keyboard synth for iOS.

### 2/5 — Beta

*2020-11-12*

Ok some the sounds are good ...but many of the presets have sonically crap artifacts noise wise which are intrusive in a modern mix ..it’s a beta release for alpha price. Let’s hope sonic delivery improves.
Limbic 🧐

### 3/5 — Timbre disappointment

*2025-09-13*

I really love Audio Kit synth apps and was hunting for a decent Rhodes. This one is not for me for the following reason. The basic soft tone is decent enough but the transition to the characteristic gritty bark sound is really abrupt! Seems like a new sample is triggered above a certain velocity. This means it feels like there are just two velocity layers, and when playing harder it is hard to control which timbre plays. Back to Neo Soul keys for me.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Superb Fidelity to the Actual Rhodes!

*2026-04-09, version 1.2*

I *LOVE* the quality of the sound of this instrument and its flexibility! It is a joy to play - especially as a MIDI-connected instrument!

### 5/5 — Rhodes fans rejoice!

*2025-10-26, version 1.2*

There isn’t a bad sound to be found on this instrument. It sounds, and feels, like the real deal.

### 5/5 — Amazing!

Thank you to everyone who was involved creating this simple but amazing app

### 5/5 — Musical not gimmicky

### 5/5 — Quality

*2025-03-29*

Great sounds, just wish there was more. Of course you can make tons of your own.

### 5/5 — My go-to ~ use it everyday

*2025-03-17*

This is my go to synth/sounds. The first one I load when creating a track or noodling around. I use this virtually every day.

### 5/5 — For me good mellow smooth sound

*2025-01-18, version 1.2*

Not many presets but low price still makes it good value purchase

### 5/5 — Mark I

*2024-11-27, version 1.2*

Great R&B sound

### 5/5 — Best $4 I’ve spent in a minute

*2024-10-15, version 1.2*

Love this keyboard! I love the sound a Rhodes piano and use it in a lot of my production. This sounds great, easy to use and learn, and really easy on CPU. Great investment and lots of fun.

### 5/5 — Great sound/parameters from this app

*2024-07-18, version 1.2*

I’m more of a “noises” junkie than a musician, but this is a great sounding app for anybody looking for classic, tunable/adjustable noises, with or without using a MIDI controller.
