I couldn’t hear what the characters were saying over the music. It was difficult to pick up or place objects and a number of times the only way to do this was by using the hint button and then it would work. The biggest problem was not being able to collect one of the handles in the robot world and I had to restart the game. On the plus side I enjoyed the graphics and storyline. 👍 ### 2/5 — Can’t unlock full game *2018-02-27, version 1.0.0* Game was on sale and you couldn’t purchase the full game from in game or from the big fish app. What I can play is fun. The main part was absolutely fabulous. The storyline was engaging, the graphics were beautiful, the minigames were just the right amount of challenging, and the HOPs were refreshingly diverse. I was prepared to leave a five star rating. I started the bonus chapter then took a short break. When I tried to log back on, I saw a quick glimpse of the game title screen, then the blue Big Fish logo appeared...and stayed. Forever. I tried to reopen the game several times, but to no avail. Not only was I prevented from finishing the bonus chapter, but I couldn't play the main game or reach any of the extra content. With such a major glitch, perhaps I should rank this even lower. However, it's possible that the bug was due to my specific hardware (iPad Air 2) and the game runs fine on older devices. Thus, I am only going to drop my rating from 5 to 3 stars. ### 2/5 — Uh, what's that sound? *2016-07-31, version 1.0.0* Not great so far but I will try it for a bit longer. The ambient sound effects are weird. I swear they recorded it while doing laundry! You know that noise jeans make in the dryer? That sound ...... and no, there's no dryer in the story. Just got to the part where they want me to pay for the rest. Not going to do it. Just so many better games out there. This one is clumsy. ### 3/5 — Creepy *2016-07-27, version 1.0.0* I dislike games that have creep atmospheres, like this one. But, I thought I'd give it a try. It was okay, but not great. I found it confusing in places. The use of the "hand" was odd. It took a couple of attempts for it to activate, and, why was I tracing a path? Stupid. Placement of items was a pain because you needed precise placement for an item to go where it was supposed to go. And the train puzzle was VERY strange. I didn't understand what I was supposed to do, and I didn't care. I skipped it. I like it as well as the other House of 1000 Doors (Serpent) and I really hope they produce another in the series. I was charged double for the game, because the sign in screen repeatedly appeared and I must have pressed the button twice. I don't think that was fair, it really needs to be fixed. The game itself is really good, however the bonus section has not much to do with the original game. I also thought it was too short for the amount I paid. I must say though, I really like Big Fish Games, and always have. ### 4/5 — Good game with a bug to watch out for... *2016-07-30, version 1.0.0* I enjoyed playing this - I liked the plot, the steam punk style aesthetics and the different portals providing a range of settings. The first time I played I got stuck on a hidden object scene where you have to collect corks in a wine cellar - I couldn't select the one behind the plate. I reinstalled and this time made sure I picked up that one first and all was fine. The first time I downloaded it was at the same time as a couple of other Big Fish games and I don't know whether that might have affected the download somehow.
