## What is House Radar?

House Radar finds the things in your home that send a signal — phones, earbuds, watches, TVs and speakers — and walks you to them.

Open the app and Home tells you what you can do. Tap a card and go.

FIND SOMETHING YOU LOST
Pick the device and walk. The screen goes from cold blue to hot red as you get closer, with a word that says Warmer, Colder or Right here, and fast beeps when you are on it. When this iPhone can hear it on Bluetooth, an arrow points the way. New here? "How to find something" walks you through it in 6 steps.

SEE WHAT'S ON YOUR WI-FI
Quick scan lists the devices on the Wi-Fi you're on, with plain names — right from your iPhone.

SEE BLUETOOTH AROUND YOU
Earbuds, watches, speakers and trackers this phone can hear, closest first.

WHOLE-HOUSE FINDING (OPTIONAL)
Add a free home base on a Mac that stays on at home, and House Radar knows which room each device is in, what just came online, and what is closest to you.

No Mac? Tap Try a demo house to see the full hunt with pretend devices.

Name your devices once and they follow your account to any iPhone. Signal strength is a guide, not a tape measure — it ranks what is closer.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.2 — 2026-10-31

Turn your feet, not just the phone.
While you turn your circle, House Radar now notices when only the phone is moving and asks you to turn your whole body. Which way your body is facing is what tells you where a thing is.

A clearer count: "signals in range."
Bluetooth carries across the whole house and next door, so that number was never a count of what is in the room with you. Repeat copies of the same device are now merged into one.

Also in this update:
- The example hunt video and the tips no longer show distances in feet.
- Buttons stay on one line at the largest text sizes.
- Saving and Found no longer hang when your home base is slow to answer.

### 1.1 — 2026-10-28

Find something with the camera - no Mac and no tags needed.

Pick what you lost, tap "Show me with the camera", then turn one slow circle while the phone listens. The floor is shaded from cold to hot as you walk, and a big word reads Warmer, Colder or Here.

Also in this update:
- Closest to you: a live list of what this iPhone can hear right now, including earbuds that are not on your Apple ID.
- Quick scan the Wi-Fi you are on, with no base needed.
- Plain words instead of made-up distances: Right here, Close, Same room, Nearby, Far.
- Honest waiting: a save stops asking after 15 seconds when your base is not answering, and a scan says "usually under a minute" instead of promising 15.
- Clearer help when the camera or Bluetooth is turned off, and better advice when the thing you lost is a closed earbud case.
