Also could read in the OmniMic calibration file, which is a huge bonus. Generated a 10-stage parametric EQ and loaded into the WIIM app. I’ve got fairly high-end speakers so I focused the tuning on the low-end (bass). Sounds great! Is there a way to use this over (wired) CarPlay? It seems to default to the crappy car mic since the USB-C port is in use, and it would be better to use the internal iPhone mic since it’s compensated. Overall great app!! ### 5/5 — Worked perfectly *2024-05-23, version 5.1.3* Much easier than buying a mic of fiddling with REW. App is simple but gets the job done well, documentation by the developer is excellent. Multiple measurements and parametric EQ customization works well, I needed to lower the gain maximum and it recalculated a new PEQ for me. Exported my EQ settings directly into EqualizerAPO and it worked perfectly, and my results passed a blind test as a noticeable improvement! Great app, looking forward to further developer support and updates! ### 5/5 — Not much of a reason to hate this app! *2024-05-13* I found out about HouseCurve through an online audio forum I frequent, through a post from the creator and using info from there, and the apps website, I was able to get my Hi-Fi Speaker Setup sounding a heck of a lot better! It’s not pure night and day, but it’s enough of a difference to appreciate a tool like this. They have excellent mics BUT you must remove your case, I tested my recordings with and without my slim simple case and the results were very audible. I also found the back omnidirectional mic sounded the best. This app seems perfect for my simple uses cases, I’ll probably buy it. The interface is a little cumbersome and limited, hopefully that’s just the free version tho. ### 5/5 — One of the best Audiophile Apps on iPhone! *2024-02-03* Originally, I really had no clue what this app was but after one week in which I wanted to use REW to tune my Hi-Fi Rooms, I decided to give this app a try and after reading the guides on HouseCurve’s website, I setup tests through my main system, and after much tinkering with settings in both HouseCurve and Roon, I can happily confirm and report that this amazing app has helped my Hi-Fi system sound better than ever!!!! Also if you’re annoyed about the $10 tuning payment, that’s all you have to pay, no more or less, and way cheaper than doing tuning with a measuring mic along with something like REW, and it’s a lot simpler to use HouseCurve anyways as well!!! I mean it using the mic and our phones so I’m not sure how effective it will be, but I just downloaded it to play around well I can say he must be very careful with this app. Like me, if you have the volume on your phone and equipment up too high when it plays the sweep it blew 59K worth of Martin Logan speakers in my system. And homes so probably should have used a more professional mic, and definitely checked the volume levels. just thought I would throw this out there to others. Setting up a mic? Easy. Running a sweep? Easy. Generating a response curve? Easy. Copying that curve into miniDSP PEQ settings? Easy. Getting stoked on how your system sounds after setting up your new PEQ? EASY. ### 5/5 — Good job! *2026-01-15, version 6.0.2* This is a great, easy to use tool. Just invest an hour reding the directions and you’ll be good to go. It made my expensive stereo sound like I thought it should and could sound. Sound went from good to amazing. It also helped me fix a large bass dip 14 db at 125 hz. Moved my speakers closer to front wall to get it to 8 db and was able to correct it to 1.5db dip. Nice ### 5/5 — Good app that I’ve seen that uses the iPhones microphone *2026-01-11, version 6.0.2* A microphone is more than good enough for simple, manual EQ, but most apps don’t use it or don’t compensate, this app does both and for a decent (at least when I purchased it). Will be buying it ### 5/5 — Genuinely fantastic *2025-02-13, version 5.2.1* Didn’t fancy buying a calibration microphone and an expensive AVR for advanced room correction so I took a punt with this, and for £15 it’s brilliant. Measure speakers with your phone, export PEQ with whatever target curve you want, import into Equalizer APO & done. Sounds 10x better now. Brilliant! ### 5/5 — A wonderful resource *2024-12-11, version 5.2.1* I have had Polk towers as my TV speakers for 10 years and always thought they were remarkably neutral. Housecurve confirmed my impression. I have pair of KEF 105.3 speakers that I refoamed and replaced the tweeter diaphragms. The replacements are much brighter than the originals, but are easily tamed with treble control or DSP. I made 10 measurements of each system, moving around the room.
