## Newest reviews (10 of 190)

### 3/5 — Somewhat lacking and left leaning

*2026-06-23, version 202605.25*

Even though most newspapers are and have always been somewhat liberal, the Chronicle seems a little more than others. However, it seems they are becoming a little more balanced, even though the present administration gives them much ammunition to not be. Would like to see more international and national news reported beyond local Houston metroplex. A return to more cooking suggestions/recipes and gardening articles more than just once a week would be welcomed.

### 2/5 — New version is a step backward

*2026-06-02, version 202605.25*

Expanding the e edition blurs the content, so you have to select the specific item in order to keep it crisp. Previous version allowed expanding the page while retaining clarity

### 3/5 — Too left leaning

*2026-05-23, version 202603.8*

I enjoy reading the local newspaper but it has become too left leaning. They need to report the news without their left winged views. In addition they need to quit having their opinion articles on the front page. Those belong in that designated section.

### 1/5 — Hard to navigate

*2026-05-04, version 202603.8*

Awful app very hard to navigate

### 1/5 — Houston Chronicle

*2026-04-11, version 202603.8*

I am disgusted by the obviously one sided liberal agenda in the reporting. The Chronicle has lost any sense of fair reporting that the media was known for in the past. I’m very close to canceling my subscription. As soon as I find a good source of sports information I will probably do so.

### 3/5 — Hearst monopoly

*2026-04-07, version 202603.8*

Since Hearst owns almost every major newspaper in Texas they seem to want to use column inches to fill us in on out of Houston issues that don’t concern lots of fellow readers. Sports is especially true and they even go so far as large stories about the basketball Warriors. Who really cares about them? If you weren’t the only paper in Houston you wouldn’t have this subscriber.

### 1/5 — Trash

*2026-03-29, version 202603.8*

Total liberal garbage forced upon the reader.. even the sports page is a day late and a dollar short. I’ll not be renewing ny subscription to this left-wing piece of bird cage liner.

### 3/5 — Liberal propaganda

*2026-03-19, version 202603.8*

The biggest issue with this newspaper, is the news is slanted to left leaning propaganda!, as a customer of over 40 years, I have seen the shift from reporting the news factually, to now reporting it in a very heavy slant to the left.

### 3/5 — Opinions

*2026-02-16, version 202602.9*

Hard to navigate

### 5/5 — Great Coverage

*2026-02-07, version 202601.50*

I enjoy, rely on, and regularly share news reporting from the Houston Chronicle. It provides objective, balanced, and unbiased reporting, including investigative reporting, on Houston and Texas not found elsewhere. I urge others to subscribe and support local news.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Dissappointed

*2026-08-09, version 202606.47*

My subscription os for digital and Sunday paper delivery. I received the first Sunday delivery, but went out this morning and no Sunday paper. My neighbor has his. No idea why mine did not come. Canceling my subscription today.

### 1/5 — Sell it

*2026-08-05, version 202606.47*

This is clearly the worst paper in America. Ownership should hire someone who actually cares about the city instead of downing it, and allowing her hires to also down the city…hire people from here, whom grew up here and care about it.

### 1/5 — Woke, DEI, Dem Compliant

*2026-07-24, version 202606.47*

The Chronicle proves that Fake News is not the exclusive domain of television news programs.

### 1/5 — New app terrible

*2026-07-22, version 202606.47*

The new app wastes space top and bottom. Eedition not available was the start of this mess.

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2026-06-22, version 202605.25*

Not worth it. You are constantly challenged to log in. App is unusable.

### 1/5 — Boo

*2026-06-09, version 202605.25*

The new format erases the look of reading an actual newspaper….not as convenient either

### 1/5 — Poor service

*2026-06-06, version 202605.25*

Cannot cancel in app

### 1/5 — Biased Reporting Continues

*2026-06-05, version 202605.25*

I am amazed at the bias and unfair reporting particularly of political related articles. It really makes the Chronicle look like a joke.

### 1/5 — Liberal propaganda

*2026-05-22, version 202603.8*

This rag first and for most promotes racism and hate! It pushes a leftist narrative and lies to its readers. As a customer of over 40 years, I have seen the shift from reporting the news factually, to now reporting it in a very heavy slant to the left. The editors, especially, should be removed. Then remove the racist columnist!!!

### 1/5 — False info

*2026-05-21, version 202603.8*

Knowingly political agenda news written articles. This is the news not time for personal politics.

### 5/5 — Houston Chronicle

*2026-04-15, version 202603.8*

My in-laws took the Houston Chronicle when delivery to Trinity, Texas began. My mother-in-law was still reading it at 100. When we moved there, we began taking it. A few weeks ago, management decided not to deliver it to Trinity anymore. Some days I get three or four at a time. Other days I get nothing. As a journalism major, I like fresh news and to pick up a newspaper and read it. I'm sorry that you decided to discriminate against Trinity.

### 5/5 — Enjoying my paper

*2026-04-01, version 202603.8*

Now that the paper has gotten smaller, I can get through it in an hour, including the comics. There are subjects not seen on TV especially the columnists

### 5/5 — Good reading

*2026-03-24, version 202603.8*

Great newspaper

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2026-03-14, version 202602.35*

Hi Houston Chronicle,

I hope you have a good day. My name is David Zavala and I manage and operate a very good and a very successful Business called Sense Counseling LLC. We are filed in Texas. Three things probably in any order: 1): My friend name Julian Gill works at the Houston Chronicle, 2): I mean it Houston Chronicle and not Google, 3): My Business is filed in Texas and I will go to Houston from San Antonio in the next two weeks and then the newspaper is excellent

### 5/5 — Vetted Information.

*2026-02-25, version 202602.35*

Howdy,
At 79 years I’m a creature of habit and appreciate the trustworthy, diverse reporting. Keep up the good work.
