## Most critical reviews (6 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Can’t order room service via app

*2022-08-07*

Not the best app :)

### 1/5 — Frustrating

*2021-10-21*

I cannot get beyond the login screen. Useless App.

### 1/5 — Resident Member since 1978

*2021-10-20*

Registration for website very user unfriendly. As a resident member since 1978 l expected better out of the Houstonian.

### 3/5 — Not as Functional as MindBody App

*2021-10-25*

My review is primarily for the group exercise part of the app. Through the Mindbody platform, I was able to ‘book’ classes that technically did not need a reservation as well as classes that need a reservation. All of these classes were shown not only through the in app schedule, but were imported to my mobile calendar. Through this app, I can’t add classes that do not need a reservation to a master calendar. Beyond that, the app does not appear to support calendar syncing. Its functionality would be equivalent to taking a photo of the group classes pamphlet if it didn’t require a signal to access the schedule. Instead of feeling like a streamlined, hybrid app, this app runs like Frankensteined native app onto the old web app. There are so many companies now— including MindBody, Mighty Pro, and Moxtra—that make branded apps. The Houstonian went with Pacesetter Technology. Pacesetter Technology markets itself as the industry specific luxury app developer for private clubs. I’m not as interested in “beacon” technology. I don’t really care if a server knows my name nor my preferences. Those services are add-ons and gimmicks. I want a functional, streamlined app. That’s real luxury. This isn’t.

### 4/5 — The Club Vs the food

*2023-08-10*

The Houstonian Resort and Spa is the best in Houston. It is continually being updated to meet its members needs. I have been a member since 1988 and I so appreciate the effort of the officers and staff to keep the Houstonian a graded A1 ( in my book). However, the food ( same as in the hotel)
Is below average. I don’t understand why a “fantastic-everything” have below average food. Imagen the money & (the potential new memberships)The Houstonian would make/ have if the members would feel comfortable inviting their friends to lunch?
I know I don’t , but would love to do so if the food was deliciously prepared & served.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT!

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2026-03-16*

The app has been great in my experience. It runs smoothly, and I can synchronize classes with the calendar on my phone. Booking is easy, and I like being able to see everyone’s contact information at the club.
