Booking an appointment was effortless — I was scheduled within the hour — and he called exactly when promised. He struck the perfect balance of professional and friendly, and walked me through the entire process in detail. I will never go back to the traditional realtor experience when selling a property. I am completely sold on the discount broker way, as long as it’s Houzeo. For a drastically reduced rate, we were able to show our home ourselves, but rely on a living, breathing realtor for advice and counsel and taking care of legal paper work. Initially, they seemed promising, but it quickly became clear that they engage in a bait-and-switch tactic. Instead of providing the services they advertised, they simply connect you with a real estate agent, which is something you can easily do on your own for free. To make matters worse, when I decided to cancel immediately after realizing their service was not what I expected, they refused to refund my money, even though they had done absolutely nothing for me. I feel misled and frustrated by their lack of transparency and customer service. I wouldn't recommend Houzeo to anyone looking for genuine assistance in selling their property. ### 1/5 — Awful Experience, Stay Away *2025-05-06* Wasted time and money trying to use this service. Houzeo paired me up with a subpar agent who made very little effort. I paid for the 12 month service and somehow they let the MLS listing lapse after 6 months. This caused much stress with having dozens of local agents calling me with low ball offers thinking that I wanted to end my MLS listing early. I complained about this to Houzeo and they offered no reasonable ways to make this right. This company absolutely does not want to do a refund once they have your money. Houzeo blamed others and me (the customer) and didn’t own up to any of the mistakes. Wasted so much time on customer support with them trying to gaslight me into believing there was not issue in the first place. Be warned… ### 1/5 — Change listing with realtor *2025-04-20, version 2.4.4* Could not get the realtor to lower the price after signing the forms. Couldn’t get the listing realtor to cancel the listing after we signed the form online . Customer service slow to respond to requests for updates ! ### 1/5 — Poor Experience, Misleading Process, and No Real Support *2025-04-02* I signed up expecting a smooth and flexible experience, but Houzeo’s process felt rigid and unhelpful. Once I paid, communication became vague, and my listing agent was unresponsive, short, and even canceled my listing without my consent—after I had already requested to terminate the agreement. The platform markets itself as seller-friendly, but in reality, it locks you into a rigid structure. Even when concerns are raised early and in good faith, the support team cites policy rather than resolving legitimate issues. You’re also stuck paying full fees even when the service is not delivered as promised. If you’re a homeowner expecting transparency and collaboration, I’d suggest looking elsewhere. The tech interface is decent—but the people behind it left me disappointed. ### 1/5 — Scam scam scam *2024-09-23* This app is nothing but a fraud scam . The broker realtor they assigned me Vivian Lehman was the rudest person and not once helped me with my property . This app just takes your money then tells you to upgrade to the most expensive plan. Pick a different service!!! ### 1/5 — No listing visibility *2024-03-26* Seemed like a great platform until I paid the $300 some-odd dollars and listed my property- the property was nowhere to be found on mls or Zillow in any searches of my zip code, and I’ve wasted weeks of my time trying to contact Houzeo to figure this out to no avail. I’ve demanded a refund and will go back to my old realtor.
