Now it’s super super slow it’s infuriating when I have other jobs to do. If I have a project that I no longer need, I can delete it and the organization of all my projects was organized yet efficient. No, if a project gets assigned to me, I can’t find it. I have to go on the website. Lastly projects I don’t need can’t be deleted unless I call customer service? Plus my customers don’t like the fact that they keep getting additional text messages if the scan is no longer needed. Cover support please make these corrections and bring back a more efficient version of the Hover app. Thanks! ### 1/5 — This update has ruined this app from a measurement tool aspect *2026-02-16, version 5.24.0* I’ve been using this app since 2019. This update is over designed and clunky. Particularly the 3D measure tool is miserable to navigate and use now. I use this daily for work and I honestly can’t stand it anymore. Bring back the previous 3D measure tool! ### 1/5 — Too many bugs *2025-12-30, version 5.21.2* Never had a 3d render that didn’t glitch half way through making it ### 2/5 — Don’t bother *2025-08-08, version 5.15.1* Hover was recommended by a contractor who we are getting a bid from on siding. It made a bad first impression and wasted a lot of my time. This contractor has a style over substance problem to overcome before they’ve set foot on my property. What went wrong: I was using Hover to check siding options. The rendering of my house was so filled with errors as to be useless. The pictures with different sidings looked like they had been done by a three year old There was so little detail you couldn’t tell the difference between shingles and board and batten. The interface is clunky and difficult to use. Some options like adjusting trim color don’t work at all. I tried moving over to a tablet to see if that might be better. My project could not be moved between devices. Two stars not one because it will give you some general ideas on what kinds of color might work. ### 5/5 — Review *2025-07-18, version 5.14.0* Love the virtual demos available. Can’t wait to see what this app has to offer in the future! ### 5/5 — Amazing app to visualize ideas your home project *2025-07-14, version 5.14.0* Love this app to choose the correct paint colors for the exterior of my home by ‘painting’ the body & trim with different colors. ### 1/5 — Incorrect measurements, photos deleted *2025-07-05, version 5.13.0* This app seems great at first. Until you’re finished. My photos were lost - twice - and I had to retake everything. Also, the resulting square footage was way off because they counted my non-heated sunroom. They refused to correct it. Nor would they send me the interior photos that were “stuck in upload,” so I didn’t have to retake them. The app showed my project as “done,” so I closed the app. But photos were actually still uploading, and then they were lost. I don’t think they were actually lost, though, as nothing on the internet is, just seemed like the agent didn’t want to go to the bother of reopening the project and correcting their mistakes. Also, your file is not saved under your insurer’s project number or your property address. So if you login with Google, as they suggest, if that is a different email than what is on your insurance policy, they will not supply it to your insurer. Customer service is available but not helpful at all. Wish I could give the app ZERO stars. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Unwieldy and inaccurate *2026-08-11, version 5.35.0* This app is absolutely terrible to try and get accurate dimensions with. If the room you are in is not a perfect square box it is going to think that everything is one large room and will not differentiate columns from walls. It is not user-friendly and is wildly inaccurate. If you have an open floor concept style home, it cannot accurately measure the room because it thinks everything is the same thing. ### 1/5 — Multiple issues *2026-08-11, version 5.35.0* The app fails constantly. And if you want to get interior measurements, don’t bother because the app constantly shuts down and does nothing more than waste phone battery. ### 1/5 — Waste of Time. Uploaded 50 pictures and only 5 are in the report *2026-08-07, version 5.35.0* My insurance company asked me to use this app for virtual inspection. Followed the process and uploaded all the pictures. Only the outside pictures ended up in the assessment when the insurance company needed both. And these pictures are taken through the app so I don’t have a backup aand have to take them again. Called support and they are unhelpful. This is not enterprise grade solution. ### 1/5 — New to roofing but know garbage when I see it *2026-07-22, version 5.33.0* This company is a joke. Rests on old tech and promises not kept. Told by the Travelers insurance that I had to down load pictures to this app. Then what? No way to link or send information. ### 1/5 — Another scam *2026-05-22, version 5.29.2* We signed up for a pro account for $99 a month. But that doesn’t include anything. That’s just a fee. Then if you do a job it’s $89 extra per job. Plus if they deem it “complex” they will add another $59. Not transparent at all. I despise these bait and switch corporation tactics with subscriptions. The issue has been going on for a month now, and no one can seem to resolve the issue. How do you expect a hover on a town home? ### 1/5 — Exercise in futility *2026-03-10, version 5.24.4* I paid the $75 to use this app to try and get a quote from a roofing company. They said take some pictures from different angles and we do the rest. Well the pictures weren’t good enough. There were shadows can you retake the pictures. I retake pictures but then they wanted additional pictures closer up, then measurements. After all this and trying to get what they need they threaten to close the thread on me! Poor customer service, rude and unprofessional. They are prompt, knowledgeable, and friendly. It will be amazing. So like any software designed to enhance and build off of. Hover has its strengths and weaknesses. This would be no exception. However the strength of the app in comparison to doing my job without it. Really separates a good adjuster from those who are just mediocre and those who need tremendous assistance. I am a field adjuster for a world leading insurance company and we utilize the app to fine tune our, already strong skills, this has completely changed our flow of operations. We are hundreds of percentages more efficient and our accuracy is spot on. That makes the corporate leaders happy and it allows us to get to an assignment and get done. But most of all. It frees up our time to care for the customer. We aren’t spending an hour drawing diagrams or measuring roofs. And it really separates those who are flexible and adaptable in those stuck in old ways they don’t help the customer. I really like this app a lot. The new update gives zero confirmation, it basically functions as a glorified video camera now. All my scans are incorrect since the update.
