WHY HOWDY MATE?
The US Surgeon General declared loneliness a public health epidemic. 79% of Gen Z report feeling lonely. Staying connected shouldn't require a complex app — it just needs a simple tool.

Howdy Mate! is built for real people, not salespeople. No contact scoring, no deal pipelines, no AI-generated messages. Just genuine human connection.

SIRI, BUILT IN
Say it instead of tapping it. Ask who's due, log a check-in, find out how long it's been since you spoke to a mate, or ask who you've gone quiet with — without opening the app. Eight phrases work the moment you install it, with nothing to set up, and every action is available in the Shortcuts app to build your own or put on the Action Button.

PRIVACY FIRST
Your data stays on your device. We don't collect, sell, or share your contact information. Ever.

Download Howdy Mate! and never let a friendship drift again.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.1.0 — 2026-10-27

A big one. Thanks for keeping up with your mates.

• Howdy Mate! now speaks 17 languages
• Share a link, photo or text to a mate from any app's share sheet
• The Home Screen widget has a fresh look, drawn in ink like the app
• Call or text from a mate's page and the catch-up logs itself when you come back
• Speak a recap instead of typing it. It's transcribed on your iPhone, and any dates you mention become reminders
• Reminders now say what you did last time, with a Text button that starts the hello for you
• Plan something with mates, share it, and the next day it asks whether it happened
• "Something happened…" lines up gentle check-ins after a loss, a new baby or a move
• Remember the little things, keep gift ideas, and see what time it is where a mate lives
• Snooze until tomorrow, the weekend, next week or a date you pick
• Important dates now send a reminder a week out and on the day
• Recap adds time together, quiet ones, reconnections, how catch-ups feel, and a year you can share
• Ask Siri who's due or log a check-in, plus a Log button on the widget and in Control Center
• A Focus filter keeps nudges quiet at work
• With Apple Intelligence, openers are drafted on your iPhone. Nothing leaves it

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-04

A new app icon: a wave, in ink on paper, with Liquid Glass on iOS 26.

• Larger Text now scales the whole app, up to 200%
• Contacts are only requested when you tap "Find people in my contacts"
• Refreshed App Store screenshots
