When they were first released I bought the official apps for HP 12C Platinum, HP 15C, and HP PRIME PRO. The 12C Platinum is no longer in the store so I had to buy the new 12C. This 15C came as a free update and it's now in the dock of my iPhone. The 12C and 15C are both in the dock on my iPad. Both have been long-due for an update, so the new apps are a welcome surprise. Modern screen-sizes are now fully supported, and best of all we now have proper a proper portrait mode with the full keyboard available. The 15C looks great on both iPhones and iPad. Unfortunately it's not (yet?) available as an installable app on M-series Macs, but the 12C is. If you love RPN and the find HP calculators both beautiful and highly functional, you need this. ### 5/5 — To use on iOS 12, delete & Reinstall *2026-04-07, version 3.0.2* Updated to iOS 12 and it stopped working. I deleted it and powered down iPhone. Now that this beautiful emulator exists, I have the best of both worlds. I used settings to select classic portrait view and even selected full size but the keys and result window are much smaller than before. Please bring back the old classic portrait view where the keys and display were bigger. Why allow the smaller keyboard to be positioned at top, middle, or bottom, just fill the entire screen like before. This was a step in the wrong direction. The vibration feedback way too long. The App is still not sized for the full iPhone 5, 5s, or 5c display. C'mon HP be the best out there or bow out.... I find that the app easily misses keypresses if I press only very slightly above the key. It was essentially the same size as my real HP. Then they stretched it to fill the screen and did not give me the option to return to the vintage layout size. Most users will probably not mind but for someone like me who has stared at a real HP 15c a zillion times, I downloaded an alternative app that preserves the vintage charm. I'm an electrical engineer who still depends on my 15c. Main complaint is the very loud clicks for the buttons which is very annoying, especially since there is no way to disable or lower its volume from within the ap. Turning off the ringer on the side of the iPhone to disable sound works but is unacceptable. Hopefully HP will fix this soon - especially if enough of us complain.
