Now that I want to spend it, the app suddenly demands KYC — which has been “pending” for 25 days straight. My ₹6,000 is completely stuck. Called customer care over 10 times. Every single time it’s the same scripted response: “It has been highlighted to the backend team, please wait 24 hours.” 25 days later, still nothing. No update, no resolution, no accountability. This is unacceptable for an app handling people’s money. If you can’t verify KYC before letting users load funds, don’t block withdrawal/spending after the fact and then leave them stranded with no timeline. Escalating this to RBI’s grievance portal since internal support has failed completely. Avoid until they fix their KYC processing and actually train support to solve problems instead of repeating a script. ### 1/5 — UNRESOLVED SUPPORT AND VERY POOR CUSTOMER SUPPORT *2026-05-24* I made multiple attempts to complete my KYC with HP Pay, despite having all the required documents, but every single attempt failed. What made the experience even worse was the complete lack of support from customer care. I contacted them several times, yet no one could provide a proper solution. I even emailed customer support, but the responses appeared to be auto-generated AI replies with no real understanding of the issue. Instead of addressing my concern, they repeatedly redirected me to the oil industry customer care helpline, which mainly handles LPG-related queries. My issue is specifically about completing KYC for cashless fuel payments at HP fuel stations through HP Pay. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. A service meant to simplify fuel payments has turned into a stressful and time-consuming process. Because of this poor support and unresolved issue, I am now seriously considering switching to another fuel provider. I hope someone from HP pay will look into this and will improve HP pay customer support. ### 1/5 — You are temporary hot listed customer *2026-05-13* I have been unable to access my HP Pay account for the last 25 days because the app keeps showing the message: “You are a temporary hotlisted customer. Please contact HP Pay customer care.” I have contacted customer support multiple times and sent emails 5 times, but my issue is still unresolved. Every time I call, I am only asked to wait, with no actual solution provided. This has been extremely frustrating and inconvenient, especially when I need the app for fuel payments. Very disappointing customer service and poor issue resolution. Please fix this problem urgently. ### 3/5 — Good ideas behind a bad app *2026-03-24* The app crashes multiple times previously, but this time after updating it start crashing when the time was very crucial. It is a time of LPG shortage. I understand, that companies like HP don’t want to receive more bookings or some same kind of issues. But at the same time app is crashing, IVR is not working. Agencies are not sporting. It’s a complete failure of the system that has been built throughout the years, experience, faith, and the stakes. All gone with just a crisis that is happening thousand miles away. I’m going to delete this app. I don’t think so. I can believe on the kind of apps that has been backed up by that huge public sector company and still lack the basic things that can be achieved by a single person developer, sorry to say that, but goodbye. ### 1/5 — Unable to book an LPG connection *2026-03-15* The the submit button is not working after uploading an ID on the Proof of identity page. I'd rather book a connection through a different provider. I'm facing similar issues through the website registration! I've already tried uploading through different available options / uploading different files. Hire better engineers or do not provide online options if you can't maintain them at all! ### 2/5 — App keeps hanging at loading screen *2025-12-05* I’m facing a persistent issue with the HP Pay app. As soon as I select the LPG options, the screen gets stuck at the animated smiley “processing” stage and nothing moves forward. The app becomes completely unresponsive, and the only way to exit is to force close it from the recent apps/history. This makes it impossible to complete even basic tasks related to LPG services. I’ve tried restarting the app and checking my internet connection, but the issue continues almost every time. Please look into this bug and provide an update soon. The app used to work smoothly earlier, but this problem is making it very difficult to use now. ### 2/5 — Unstable app with lots of bugs *2025-11-11* The app keeps signing out and I have to login again and set a new PIN, which is frustrating. Additionally, I had linked my Fastag to make a fuel purchase and had also checked that the option was available on the payment page. However, when I was at the fuel station, the option suddenly disappeared and I had to use my card to make the payment, thereby making my Fastag balance redundant and wasting time at the petrol pump during busy hours. ### 1/5 — Poor app with very slow response *2025-05-18* The app is very slow in responding & the distributor details are outdated. When we book LPG cylinder & check the booking status, it takes forever to display the status. In the contact page, the numbers are listed but when we dial from there zero prefix missing for a Bangalore call center number The distributor contact number listed in app is never answered by the LPG distributor. There is no ticket number if you share feedback & there is no provision for complaint against distributor. Looks like HP gas is still living in the year 1980’s & we are at the mercy of the gas distributor ### 1/5 — Otp entering screen goes away *2025-04-11* What a pitty After the recent update on 5th Feb 2023 The app is idiot When i fill in wallet It shows options by debit card or net banking In either ways I need to put otp for final transaction And this idiot app opens the subscreen for putting otp Which just disappears when we come back seeing otp from messaging app Even if I just maximise notification to see otp without going actually in another app, just by maximising notification to see otp, it vanishes the screen where I need to enter otp Such a fool and pathetic experience… Are the developers sleeping? What kind of work are you doing I like to use this app everytime for fueling all my vehicles.. hence talking so much… Stupidity has limits… fix this asap guys… Updating review on 11th April, today updated app and my saved cards are gone This is how you update? ### 2/5 — Major bugs in UI *2025-03-13* Although the app features good and useful features, it lacks with the UI, and there are plenty of bugs. For instance, I've observed that the submit button is not visible on a few pages. Only when the page is scrollable can I see the button; otherwise, there is no submit available on the pages. I'm not able to add family members. After entering the mobile number, there is no option to submit it. At various screens, the bottom Pay ByQR taskbar overlaps, making the content behind it partially visible and unscrollable. I faced an issue updating the mobile number as there was no submit button. I suggest the developers check on different iPhone models, especially smaller screens that have this issue. The bigger iPhones may not have it.
