## What is HPU?

HPU-9000 packs the formulas fluid power engineers actually use into a phosphor-green CRT terminal — 21 live calculators, with every input and output switchable between US and metric units.

CYLINDERS — bore/annulus area, push & pull force, stroke speed and time, return-line flow intensification, cylinder power, tube sizing with velocity guidance, air cylinder consumption.

PUMPS & MOTORS — pump flow, hydraulic power and drive power required, motor torque and speed (theoretical vs. actual), torque⇄power, efficiency.

VEHICLE DRIVE SIZING — a guided hydrostatic-drive worksheet: rolling and grade resistance, tractive effort, wheel and motor torque, traction check that warns before your wheels spin, motor RPM. Save machines by name and reload them at the bench.

FLUIDS & THERMAL — oil volume, compressibility, fluid weight, SUS⇄cSt viscosity, reservoir heating, heat load vs. cooling balance, pump bearing life.

PLUS — a full unit converter and the complete formula reference.
