I am unable to submit a request for support on the app because I keep getting sent to Twitter. Since I do not have a Twitter account and find no reason to make a post on there I am resigned to posting a “review“. A few of the questions that come up during the daily challenge game have wrong answers that are selected or told to be correct. Case in point, the question: “Which of these is the highest rank below General in the Armed Forces.“ The answer choices are Lieutenant, Major, and Brigadier. The correct answer is Major, however the game chooses Lieutenant as the correct answer. Major is an 05, Lieutenant in the Navy is an 03 in the other services it is an 02 or an 01, and Brigadier by itself is not a standalone rank. As a retired military member it pains me to see this wrong question pop up on a regular basis. Feel free to contact me to correct this issue. I am also willing to supply screenshots of some other incorrect “answers” that are presented in the daily game. Thank you ### 3/5 — What happened to regularly scheduled games?? *2019-10-04, version 1.5.3* I have been playing HQ for about a year and a half and have really been enjoying it. But I have found season seven which started on October 1 to be extremely frustrating. There have been no regularly scheduled evening games except for the sports version and the words version. I have missed every unscheduled game this season because I have not had my phone next to me when the alert comes out Or when I do notice the alert I click on it too late and get the sad blue face saying that I am late and cannot join the game. I am not sure why they changed the format to this surprise version but I feel cheated and disappointed that I no longer have that evening game to look forward to. My life is super stressful but HQ was a bright spot in my day and a fun distraction. I really hope that the powers that be would consider going back to regularly scheduled games. I play as many practice rounds as possible to build up coins but it’s just not the same excitement as being in the live game. ### 3/5 — Matt’s NOT Funny! *2019-08-17, version 1.5.1* The new update didn’t fix stability issues. It added pop-up ads into the daily challenge, which freeze. You have to totally close out of HQ, then restart it. Really inconvenient. And it’s hard to focus on a timed daily challenge when every other question is interrupted by an ad. Before that, I thought it was a new nice feature. A fun idea. Sorry Matt, you’re not funny! I think you’re a nice guy, but if you refer to us as “babies” one more time I’m going to rip out your earrings! PLEASE no more singing! Gives me migraines & you waste too much time. Get to the freaking questions & stop messing around! Repeatedly showing the same clip of a bear named Reggie isn’t funny either. You’ve done it once. Now STOP! You waste so much time. You really make me miss Scott. Lauren Gambino is the BEST! LOVE her!! She’s my fave!! I wish she’d host everyday! She’s so NOT annoying & she’s fun. HQ Words needs some work. Whoever is coming up with the clues, isn’t the best. They don’t always make sense or it’s not how people think. Could be better. I do like the host Anna ok. In General I like playing HQ, but I do think 10 sec is too short of a time limit on each question. There are also way too many glitches. I LOVE theme nights. That was a good idea. But not when it’s something crude like South Park. I would recommend to friends, but tell them to manage expectations. ### 3/5 — Expensive and kinda inconvenient *2019-08-17, version 1.5.1* The original premise was great but since the notoriety think the show/app has some more pitfalls. I get that you want to make money but $4 for passing a question is kinda ridiculous like I can get a Starbucks coffee with an espresso shot in NYC for cheaper. These new hour quizzes are fun but you should make them unlimited. It would give you a better baseline for players and knowledge and you should add how players are performing against other players like in the game or other apps like luminosity, elevate, etc. This game is about competition so showing how well or poorly people are doing and maybe tracking that would actually incentivize people to play more to be better. Also incorporate those other random badges you give out- they seem silly but I actually am like ok I’m a movie expert now for getting this one question right. Pat on the back and I will play again. You had over a million players at one point and the change in structure and a lot of the pointed money and time schemes take away from the original idea of a live game show and now you only have 100k for most games. Still better than most apps but make it more accessible, competitive and not so money grubbing. ### 4/5 — Thrilling and Rage-Quit lol *2019-07-23, version 1.4.19* Okay so I really do love this game because it is super fun to do with friends and family, but I do suggest positive feedback. First off, I am someone who gets nervous about the time. So I was going to click the answer but I accidentally pressed the one next to it, and it doesn’t let you choose again. That made me pretty mad because it was sport trivia... and I play the sport!!! So I suggest you change that. Another thing is the different types of trivia. There are 3 modes, but I wish that there could be more. In all honesty it is sometimes a bit boring playing with the same 3 all the time. Lastly, I would like to point out that I do mute my phone while the game is going on because of the hosts. They just keep on talking so it isn’t awkward for them but they start talking about the question, and completely change the subject. I mean I don’t want to know what your cat did today or what you are. Maybe speaking for most of us, talk just a bit less. Other than that, i am pretty thrilled about this game and how fun it is again with friends and family. ### 4/5 — HQ *2019-07-02, version 1.4.18* Really fun. But the black man is just too silly. The girls are good at their job. Also the 10 seconds should start after the question is presented. I feel the same way as the comment above as it is fun but the 10 seconds should start after the question is asked and the nice black man should tone it down as he is silly but really nice. I really love Matt now he has toned down but you need to put more money on word and sports if you want people to watch and do those games like Trivia. I had points through the 6th question tonight and I started on the 2nd question and I was already out. When did you change the game as I play every night and have never heard you lose if you aren’t in on the first question. The game is better but you need more stops for prizes especially after the 20th or whenever you don’t have anymore until 9 questions are asked in the end. Throw in a prize question so people don’t get discouraged. Good game. Better than before but you need more prize questions throughout the game and lots of people will play more. ### 2/5 — Declining Interest *2019-06-27, version 1.4.18* I’ve been playing this game for over a year now so one would think the game would improve and thrive. I went from playing daily multiple times to maybe attempting one play a week. Even after the updates, the glitches are insane! The game is constantly changing right around the time I start finding a good groove. I get that the game changes to keep it interesting but I also think the glitches are occurring more frequently because of all the changes. There are only 2 hosts that I really look forward to seeing and the rest I just tolerate. Props to Tyler for holding his own while having some pretty big shoes to fill after Scott left. Matt’s the man! I liked the idea of the “Season” games but with every new season the point levels get harder and harder to clear. Even when I was playing frequently I went from clearing up to level 8 using no lives to barely making level 6 using up every life I have. HQ was pulling in some big special guests but that hasn’t happened for a while which leads me to believe that the downfall of the game is definite. Words used to be my favorite HQ game but all the changes made with the strikes left me feeling less than thrilled to participate. I’ve seen the number of players keeping steady on a scale of 800K - 1M and have watched that number drop dramatically in the last couple of months. My interest in the game has certainly declined as well. Hopeful for a miraculous recovery but it wouldn’t surprise me if HQ collapsed. ### 2/5 — Going downhill fast. *2019-04-18, version 1.4.13* Use to love it. Now it messages you too many times a day begging you to come play. And you don’t even win money every time now. Just points. Points are great if you can play every day. But I’m an adult. I can’t play every single day. You get rewarded if you can play everyday. But tough luck if you have a schedule that doesn’t allow it every day in a row. You play four days in a row but can’t get to the fifth day? Too bad, no extra life for you! For some reason it doesn’t register your two friends playing near you? Too bad, no eraser for you! So you start losing interest. Then you stop playing even when you can. Then the app messages you like an ex that is trying to convince you that, “this time will be different!” But it’s not. They have literally messaged me three times while writing this. Let alone the 3 messages I got that motivated me to write this 30 minutes ago. Stop it HQ! I’m not coming back! Move on! We are done!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS THEY MESSAGED AGAIN WHILE I WAS ATTEMPTING TO PROOF READ IT!!! Deleting it now! ### 2/5 — Deleted app - bad decision-making *2019-03-14, version 1.4.9* Used to think this was awesome, but then I started getting kicked off or wasn’t able to answer questions because reception cuts in and out, even in places where I have fine reception for other tasks and calls. Today was my final straw - please note that bad decision-making cost you this customer. Questions 1 & 2, and sometimes 3, are usually pretty easy (like lame easy. Think: What usually goes with peanut butter: jelly, tuna, ghosts, a rock) Today, the first question was more difficult and more than half of the participants got out. Apparently, that wasn’t the originally-planned first question. TOO bad! The rest of us got it correct. Whoever missed it still would have missed it regardless when the question would have come up. I don’t get another chance when I’ve missed questions, whether it was the 2nd or 3rd or 10th. I stead of just moving forward, the host made a big fuss about it so they decided to start all over and out everyone back in. Foolish decision. At that point, I knew I would delete the app. So many people kept saying to move on in the chat, but you didn’t listen. Then, they just shut it all down and closed the current session. That was additionally. So, I’ve deleted the app. Too bad. I liked HQ Words. Wish you’d care. ### 3/5 — It’s fun, but it needs more. *2018-10-01, version 1.3.21* This game is fun when I actually get to play, but with my busy life that’s about twice a week. First, it always takes a while to get started. You get on at 8 and then you don’t actually play till 8:07. I was watching the numbers go up until we started, but the day before when I tried to join at 8:05 I couldn’t. Was that a glitch? Seems a little unfair... Also, I would love the game to have more. I find myself opening the app all the time and just seeing that there isn’t anything till 8 (when I’m busy). I think it would be cool for the app to have mini games or training. Like once a day you can play a practice round. Or just a random mini game you could win an extra life or a hint. I just want to reiterate that I do enjoy the game. The question are challenging, but not crazy hard. It’s an awesome concept overall. I just think there are some additions that could make the game better and more desirable to those who can’t be on for every live show. ### 1/5 — Underwhelming Experience *2018-06-05, version 1.3.8* It’s sad that I just clicked on 1-Star and didn’t even flinch or second guess. I loved this game from the jump, but almost every time for the past 3 weeks, I’ll get eliminated between questions 1 and 4 because the answer selections won’t pop up, or the app freezes, or some other unfortunate circumstance. I make sure before I play that I’m on WiFi or have full bars and LTE, and the game still acts up. This is demoralizing as a consumer because I and tens of thousands of others aren’t getting a fair chance at winning. If the prize is more than $5,000, rest assured that the game WILL glitch and you WILL lose...and it won’t be your fault. Find a different pastime for your mental health’s and emotional stability’s sake. It was fun for the first 6 weeks, but I’m just tired of wasting my time getting amped up to play just to have the app deciding my fate twice a day every day. I have to worry about dodging the glitch more than dodging questions about Quantum Physics or 16th century “who’s who”. Please stop sweeping the issue under the rug. Fix it, or shut the game down once the first sign of a glitch is observed. It’s not fair to award money when a large fraction are being eliminated due to YOUR error and negligence. ### 4/5 — The host is god awful. *2018-05-27, version 1.3.6* I enjoy playing HQ- when it isn’t Scott. I like to think of myself as a positive person who hates no one, except Scott freakin Rogowski (or however its spelled, you think I’d know after hearing him say it fifty times in a game). He is the epitome of annoying. He rambles on with useless nonsense while hundreds (sometimes a million+) are waiting to answer trivia. His entire persona is just obnoxious and not funny to say the least. While he’s rambling on there’s plenty of people complaining on the chat for him to shut up and get on with it- which I agree with. Some people are at work, some at school, and the last thing they want to deal with while trying to be productive and play HQ is waiting five plus minutes listening to this bozo make stupid puns. PLEASE FIRE HIM. or at least schedule him for less shows. If you’re just now downloading this game and are reading this and wondering why I’m being so hateful- play a game and you’ll understand. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — It’s now a scam. *2021-08-27, version 1.7.7* Now it’s only once a week. This is a problem because, at the same time they drastically reduces players’ chances of winning (to once a week), they also now require a minimum of $5 to cash out. This doesn’t sound too bad, except you don’t get your money WHEN you win it. They hold your money until some arbitrary date that’s regularly 4-5 months later. Still, you could just wait and let the money accrue in your account right? Nope! Another little stipulation they added is that your money is taken back after 90 days. So if they don’t release $5 or more before those 90 days are up, you lose that money. So, since they hold your money as long as they please, they really never have to pay out. So it looks like people are winning, but after months of waiting they lose their winnings because HQ has set up a set of rules that really only benefits them and sneakily allows them to not issue the payouts as promised. I’m a long time player, since Birds’ Nest Soup days. I liked the company and thought the majority of their decisions were ethically in the right. This new development though? It wreaks of shady scammer app. Boo HQ. You’ve really managed to flush that success down the toilet. Good thing you get to keep all your money now. 🙄 ### 1/5 — Very frustrated w/ cash out - please advise! *2020-05-03, version 1.5.16* The last day of “last season” HQ operated, before it shut down, I received a notification to cashout. When I tried, it said there wasn’t enough, and it went to $0!! I was bummed because I worked hard to win that over several games! (see below.) I haven’t won at all this season yet, and would love to see Levels &/or 3 lives come back. But literally a few days ago, my previous balance finally showed again on Wed April 29, and I took a screenshot. (Today is May 2) Now it shows down by half! What the heck?! Please advise, and can I use my husband’s email and his PayPal, as I don’t have a PayPal acct. Thanks again - comtngirl Written end of previous season - Lots of people were eliminated for no reason after a technical error started the game late! People kept telling you in the chat. In previous games when something major like that happened, you’d restart again. Then each game at 21 Qs is really too long anyway, and only worth $1,000, but each winner got $3,000???? If you don’t at least have integrity to do the right thing, you will lose lots more people. Sometimes it’s “Pride, not necessarily the amount of the prize” that keeps people coming back, if the winning is attainable, or at least the chance to win. If I win, it’s only a few cents here and there, but that kept me coming back, as did the hard-earned levels and Lives I had attained. Consider this for the future. Thanks. comtngirl ### 1/5 — HQ Used to be Great Now it’s Pathetic *2019-10-20, version 1.5.4* I typically don’t write reviews, but the destruction of HQ is mind-blowing. It was a wonderful trivia game complete with entertaining moderators and a decent jackpot that was worth purchasing extra lives to keep playing. It was addictive. They took a wonderful concept and format and proceeded to dismantle it. HQ needs to go back to substantial prizes and sober hosts. Each day is a mystery as to when it will be aired and what the format and jackpot (using the word loosely) will be. Then there are more glitches than can be counted. Perhaps it got too popular too quickly? No problem. Many loyal fans have left and many more of us are following. Last night I get a notice at 1 am they are starting. If this was in addition to a regular time it would be less annoying. I tuned in just to see what was happening and my favorite host Matt was there with Anna who hosts “Words”. Perhaps if the audience was as hammered as they appeared it might have been amusing. We found it irritating and insulting instead. The language was not family friendly, but the time wasn’t either. Not sure who they are catering to, but all my friends and family have quit. I’m joining them. We were all in and now my family has left for “greener” pastures. ### 1/5 — Love the game hate the Babble *2019-09-01, version 1.5.1* I’ve been playing this game over a year. I love it. Every now and then it freezes up but no big deal, but the real issue for me is the host Matt . I really cannot stand going through a game listening to him. At least Scott (RIP) was somewhat witty and intelligent . I didn’t mind listening to his jokes or his antics as I knew this was part of the show because it had to fill a certain amount of time . But Matt to me is a blubbering idiot. He’s always laughing at his own jokes , singing Way too much and I don’t think any of “ the children “ really want to hear him sing. I know he supposed to fill a certain amount of time with talk but his idiotic , senseless rambling make me turn off the game. The other hosts , not that they are extremely entertaining at least I can listen to. Unfortunately now when I go to play which is almost every night, if it turns out to be Matt I just turn it off. I know they’ve already got their head count for how many people are watching, but I really can’t endure a whole show of him. It’s a pity. The show itself I think is great and I enjoy the fun and stimulation. By the way a little trick so you don’t have to listen to a bunch of babbling at the beginning. LOL ### 1/5 — Ever heard of instructions *2019-06-24, version 1.4.16* Instructions, faqs, actually answering messages, get off Twitter and fix your game. There’s not even any kind of any explanation anywhere and even though I have notifications on you never send any, there isn’t any chat room or nothing at all except share share share. Quit using us for free hype and advertising when the thing doesn’t even do anything-you May have no problem being deceitful....I do and all the shares for a game that tells you nothing is deceiving people so you don’t have to pay for ads!!? And you were responsible for vine? Fired from twitter for incompetence and Harrassing women? Those things explain a lot. Vine - glad you were forced to close it down it was trash. And why Twitter lets you join after firing you tells me you’re using fake info to do so. So I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised that this game is nothing but yet another scam. Who in the world has an app without faqs and directions? Welcome to hell. ### 1/5 — Scam *2019-06-10, version 1.4.14* I used to enjoy this game, thinking it was a fun challenge. However, as it has gone on, I’ve realized that it has slowly turned into a scam, to get cash. They convince you to buy extra lives, for way too much. There are supposed to be winners every night, but every night for the past week, on the last question the last 14 or so people mysteriously didn’t answer.... well they all screamed in the chat that they had got booted out and it didn’t let them answer. This would be because HQ is indeed broke. How could they have 60,000 dollars every night to give away? Exactly, they don’t. Tonight is 100,000 and I guarantee that nobody will win. On the chat, everyone was getting really mad and writing bad reviews, so that night, HQ sent out a notification that a person who chose to stay anonymous won 50,000. How exactly would they win it if nobody won the trivia?? HQ has slowly turned into a scam to take your money and give you false hope of earning cash. Even if you do get to the first cash prize question, it’s as little as 10 cents. If you download this, expect anger and despair. Sorry HQ! ### 1/5 — THEY BROKE THE CARDINAL RULE *2019-03-14, version 1.4.9* HQ has a simple premise; answer a question correctly and you move on. Tonight this one rule was broken. Along with it was HQs credibility (on the bright side, this action probably made some class-action attorney’s night). After two-thirds of the field got eliminated on the first question, the game was restarted to let everyone back in. This may seem like the kind thing to do. In fact, it delegitimizes the game entirely. HQ sells “lives” so that you can continue to play after you’ve answered a question incorrectly. These lives cost real, actual, fiat currency (U.S. dollars($)). What’s more, the game automatically uses that life for you unless you click a button within 5 seconds. I’m assuming that happened to a fair amount of other HQ players as well. When people pay for extra lives, the game defaults to use those lives for you, and you restart the game after a whole slew of people have now spent money to continue in a game where two-thirds of players were eliminated on the first question, you’ve now wasted people’s hard earned money and entertainment value. When a game that allows you to pay money to play and pays out real money to the winner restarts the game in this way, breaking its only rule to do so, it has lost all credibility and value. It’s a shame. ### 1/5 — GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER *2019-02-18, version 1.4.7* I got this app a few months ago. At first I was very addicted. After a while I started noticing glitches. One time the keyboard for HQ Words would not type in the letters that I had pushed, causing me to lose the game. After a while I got over the fact that the game has a lot of bugs, until I played the HQ Words game today. The game started off good like any other game (still had glitches) after a few rounds, there was a question asking the name of a fictional boxer. The answer to the question was supposed to be "Rocky Balboa", however, the app made a typo saying the answer was "Rocy Balboa". Anna, the host, promised the viewers that had been eliminated by the question would get an extra life for another game. She, however, did not mention to give anything to the viewers who did not get out on the question but had used one of their 10 lives on the question. Which brings me to my other complaint of giving the viewers only 10 lives for the ENTIRE game instead of the previous rule of giving 3 lives per question. I can probably speak for all the other viewers for HQ when I say that HQ needs to get it together and step up their game. ### 1/5 — It's no longer working *2018-11-13, version 1.3.25* HQ used to be my favorite game. I never missed a game. Even won a couple of times. But HQ ruined everything!!! They took a new direction and changed the layout and added erasers. Since that I have yet been able to play! I keep trying to but I can't get it to work anymore. I keep getting froze up and only hear the sounds. I can't even lock in the first question! It lags so badly it won't even let me type in a comment! It's so frustrating to know that they had to ruin a good thing! I am not the only one experiencing this issue. Now HQ has always had glitches but it's to the point that it's no way possible for me and a lot of others to play. I'm thinking the only ones not having any issues are the players using a brand new top of the line cell phone. I play it on a Iphone 5 and I'm starting to think that with all the new things they added that you have to have a brand new iPhone to play or new droid one. Because I see people commenting and playing and that has to be what it is. Nothing else makes any sense. If you have one of the newest phones out then sure go for it and see if it'll work. Or it's not able to let iPhones play it anymore maybe. Who knows? I left comments on Instagram to HQ but it never does any good. Seems like they only care about twitter and I don't fool around any with twitter. I hope that HQ fixes the issue here so everybody can go back to enjoying playing it again. ### 1/5 — not available to blind people *2018-08-12, version 1.3.16* I don't know if I recently made a comment about this but this game is not made for born beautiful and I kind of wish it was I cannot even enjoy the game because it will not show me the questions with my voice app that lets me know no one tried to make this game even a little bit for blind people me I really don't care about the host stop complaining whatever I don't care I do not give a flying fig about any hosts what I'm mad about is this game is not accessible and I would really like to enjoy this and my dictation is messed up so the first few words I got one messed up anyway this game is not made for blind people what I'm very sad and mad about I'm going to speak my mind about this this is this is what I really don't like it will not show me the deep choices so I cannot answer them so while I am at being a lemonade it everybody else gets to enjoy it and I haven't even gotten to put in my answer I don't have any extra limes and it will not show me my answers I will show music people that are in the game that's not what I want to see I want to see the choices not the people and sorry about my dictation again but I have a question can you please make an update to where it will show blind people with their voice over the answers please? I would like to enjoy this app with the rest of the community ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Love, love, love my HQ TRIVIA game!!! *2021-02-01, version 1.6.9* I’ve been playing for a couple of years now, and I literally stop whatever I’m doing every night at 6pm in order to play. I do it because it’s fun, you can win money, and because Matt and the chat, in a way, especially during the pandemic, have become like an online game “family,” or community. I feel as if I don’t “see” them every evening, I would miss them. And, as Matt says, what other app gives you the chance to win money for free just for logging in? None except HQ, that I know of! I also love that since the game has returned after being offline for a few months, a charity is highlighted each & every night. And, HQuties can recommend charities that we would like to see featured! I think this is a great addition to the game, and I’m happy to donate to many of these charities. Thank you for the opportunity to give back to worthy causes, HQ! Sure, there are glitches sometimes, and some people get annoyed with Matt’s singing. But I love Matt, and I’m happy to overlook all the other issues unless they persist continuously (but things seem to get fixed very quickly under the new owners). When the COVID-19 crisis began, I mentioned to my husband that if HQ was going to be reactivated, this would be the opportune time. The next day I had a notification from HQ reading something akin to “Guess who’s back!”. Can’t express how much this meant to so many family, friends, and myself. There’s only a few things which are disappointing... host haters & ppl only interested in payouts & gift drops. If you don’t like the host, don’t play. If you’re only concerned about getting a gift drop, go ask your mommy. Otherwise, play and do your best. If you don’t win, you’ve learned something you didn’t know earlier that day. Hopefully HQ is back forever. It is the best game on my phone. And just because some people don’t play or even download the game doesn’t mean the people who do should be punished. I tried to get another game like HQ once I heard it was stopping, there isn’t one because this game is indescribable or at least was. This game meant a lot to me, it brought me closer to friends like when we would play the game together when ever it went live or even not, no matter if we lost or not just no matter what. But now we have spoken in 2 days. Look what you did you punished you fans and players for people not playing. If the game needs money set up a charity. Just get this game back on. I know I gave you five stars but you let me down so now I saying 1 out of 5. And even though I never win, I do learn fun facts! I looked all thru the app to find somewhere to send an e-mail. Couldn’t find one anywhere so sending this. I’m not one of the whiners in chat! In fact, I always say “ wine 🍷 not whine 😭” in the chat. The whiners Drive me crazy. Every app has minor issues. I love this game! Play every night when I can. But the last update created a lot of glitches in the entire app! The other night, I could play but my hubby could only see the host. According to chat, that was true for many. Same thing happened to me tonight on Words. And the Daily Challenge, when I get an answer wrong, after the video, it goes to the main screen. I tap continue and I can hear it but it’s still on main screen. I have to close out the app completely to continue. And it’s with ALL my wrong answers. A host will guide you through a series of 12 to 25 questions . Each and every one of the hosts are very entertaining. I continue watching even after I know I can’t win because the hosts make me laugh out loud. My favorite is Matt Richards , who usually does the main game . He will entertain you with song , and occasionally with dance. Funny , funny man . For those who like sports trivia, they offer hqsports , another host walks everyone through the same format. HqWords is a different game , a mix of wheel of fortune and hangman. There is a game for everyone. Although they use the best technology available, there are still the occasional hiccups. Imagine trying to run FaceTime with several hundred thousand friends , they manage to do that a couple times a day each and every day. And unlike every other trivia app, they don’t force you to watch ads. That was a pleasant surprise. I’m sure you garnered that from my title, but it had to be stated again. The time of day for regular trivia (8pm C) is perfect for my schedule! Make sure to turn on your push notifications. That way, in case you get busy or simply have old lady brain (I’m only 36), the app will send you a few reminders (10 minutes before, 5 minutes before, right at 8:00, and again at 8:05 when the game actually begins). I’ve been playing for about 8 months now and I haven’t won any money yet (you split your winnings with the other winners) but I’ve been very close several times! The best nights are the movie/television themed trivia on Mondays and other random days. I almost won the The Office, The Simpsons, Gilmore Girls, and Friends trivia. Missed GG trivia by one question! I’d love to stay and write about all the things I love about HQ (Matt is a great host) but it’s already 8:02 and I don’t want to miss it! Download this now and thank me later! 😉 ### 5/5 — HQ is great, keeps getting better *2019-05-28, version 1.4.14* Love the new formats, new shows, new hosts, HQ evolves and still has a feel to it like you’re part of something special. I’ve seen some reviews criticizing the chat. The chat is not the sea of negativity and objectification of hosts some want to describe it as. You can also very, very easily turn it off. The chaos of the chat is one of the things that adds to the experience and makes it feel like an exclusive community. There’s a time honored tradition of trolls spamming the wrong answers in the chat, and just as time honored as that is the tradition of people who make the mistake of taking that advice. It’s amazing, it’s fun, and it’s like nothing else out there. The chat can be negative, they can be overly critical of hosts, but it’s mostly people meme-ing, complimenting Roisman’s fashion sense as well as the fact she’s gorgeous as long as she’s not singing. Leave the singing to “question five, ah, ah, ah, ah, question five!l”. The hosts are great, people in chat just like to troll and also have undying crushes on Rogowski. That’s it. The game also lays the law down - “STAY CHILL IN THE CHAT!”. HQ is five stars and we don’t need PC police to save the innocent from the chat. It’s part of the fun and there’s a good system in place to handle abuse and harassment in the chat. ### 5/5 — Fun and addicting *2018-05-14, version 1.3.5* I love this game! It’s fun and gives me and my friends something to look forward too and sometimes also my students. You have to keep in mind there are millions of people playing and sometimes the game is going to lag, maybe it’s your WiFi or phone or maybe it’s the MAJOR population of players. You have to keep it in mind that a game like this has never been done before and it’s amazing these people have been constantly working on it for our ultimate experience. And the hosts, yeah they may chat but that’s what makes the game interesting and they give interesting information. Any game show the players and hosts talk, it would be boring if he just said ok hi let’s play and the game ends in 2 minutes. That’s my opinion and everyone has a different one, so there’s really no wrong answer for that. I think the game is fun and I learn something new every day. ### 5/5 — Stop complaining *2018-03-05, version 1.2.18* I don’t write reviews often.. but reading the negative reviews of this app has compelled me to speak my mind. This is a fantastic app. A great idea with great execution. It specifically tells you what you need to play, and for those with weak WiFi or crappy cellphone carriers that are complaining about the lag- please guide your complaints towards the right service, because it’s not the app. I have Sprint, and regular WiFi, and I have never had an issue while playing the game. (I have played several times while out with my husband and not connected to WiFi at all, no issue) On the second most common negativity: the hosts. Scott is great, but not everyone will agree- who cares? I don’t like the woman as much, she comes across rehearsed. Scott does not. It’s all a matter of opinion and I’m sure there have been game shows throughout the years with hosts that have been less than liked. Personally, I never liked Regis Philbin... but that’s not a reason to say Who Wants to be a Millionaire was a bad show. Get over it. ### 5/5 — Great and Original-The Current Generation Family Fued *2017-12-31, version 1.2.5* I can say that I’ve been playing this game since November of this year and man is it “first of all” addictive and the schedule for this game helps as well, for weekdays the games are held 6 hours apart from each other (3PM EST and 9PM EST) and on the weekends, they have the 9PM EST game which honestly for me, makes it very convenient to tune in and play. I’ve also never seen any other app like it. There are some problems once and a while, but for the most part, they’ve ironed them out really well and continue to iron them. They try their best to give everyone a fair chance at winning or splitting the cash prize. They do a great job on adding features and mostly bug fixes to make the experience even better than previously. I also like how it’s evolved so much over just the past month. The HQ developers do in fact work on the game and they push updates regularly so now the game CAN handle the ever-growing 700k+ people that are tuning in to play so don’t worry about problems with lag much and if so, the question tab will appear either way. In my opinion, the host is extremely funny and makes light of any situation. I WOULDN’T consider him to be annoying or cringing.
