I have deleted the app and reinstalled it and it still doesn’t do it. HD QX has not updated to the new iOS to have any configurations to work with app. ### 2/5 — No audio *2024-06-22, version 2.3.7* Periodically the app will record my videos without audio. I will have to restart the tablet in order to get it to record with audio again. This has made it inconvenient and having to do jobs twice to get the desired video. When it doesn’t it’s extremely frustrating as you might have just recorded 30m of drain and the the app unexpectedly shuts down erasing any vision you have just recorded. Sometimes you think you have the vision and then go to send it when you have already left site to find the app never saved it. Meaning I have to travel back to site to retake vision. The amount of wasted time I have spent on this app outweighs its convenience when it does happen to work. There is a bit more mucking around with USBs but at least they are reliable and a sure thing. ### 1/5 — No support for older models *2019-10-08, version 2.2.4* Can’t connect with my three year old 6S6 camera. Disappointed. How hard would it be to modify your app to accept input from a plugged in usb cord to my smart phone? Get development working on that and I’d be happy to update my review. ### 1/5 — Rubbish! *2019-04-14, version 2.2.1* I have never felt the need to leave a bad review on an app before but felt this was necessary! This app could could have 5 stars but it’s useless at connecting and it’s not just me but colleagues as well. I have to open and close the app approx 20 times before it will connect to and display the picture from camera. On both doesn’t let u select numbers to type in like before. Example entering an address. Please fix asap. Thank you to the person who fixed the issue with being able to show numbers on the phone app. Now when selecting the numbers on the phone app that part is now working. But when you try to type the address numbers. Before we could use the app to label our video’s. Like the address numbers and then write the street name. The numbers do not come up on the Seesnake video screen. This has been a major issue for me. Now I’ve been having to record my voice on the videos ### 1/5 — Zero star *2021-03-02, version 2.2.7* Never connect, really poor don’t waste your time ### 1/5 — Poor result *2020-11-02, version 2.2.4* Shocking results app constantly shuts down mid way through use really poor programming would recommend recording the screen of a camera rather than the app. ### 1/5 — Very problematic *2020-04-08, version 2.2.4* My business has various Ridgid seesnake drain cameras, which we use with the CX65X monitor, we purchased for quick reporting and prompt delivery of drain inspections to our customers. Once doing the most recent updates to the monitor the text overlay on the app doesn’t show on the video on the iPhone or iPad, this making it hard to determine which video is which, especially when multiples are sent. I have been backwards and forwards with my local Ridgid sales rep (who has been great), however this still hasn’t been resolved in their software department. I have played around with the text overlay settings and reel settings, yet nothing has fixed this. I have purchased these monitors for this functionality and have provided previous videos with text input, now they are asking for this functionality, which I now cannot provide. The app continues to crash once an inspection runs over about 4-5mins, then the footage is lost. Not happy Ridgid! ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Information for futur update *2023-12-03, version 2.3.6* I do a lot of camera inspection and the big problem is that im not able to transfert everything from the app to my computer to clear everything out i need one by one transfert it to another cloud it so damn long! Why there is not a way i love all the last update but this would be a game changer to be able to plug the iphone in my computer and just be able to transfert everything quickly for me and my employees directly into my computer in couple of minute! Thank you so much in advance from Montreal! ### 5/5 — Best ever *2023-03-01, version 2.3.3* I am a plumbing contractor and always using Ridgid seesnake systems, this app allows me to have multiple screens during sewer inspection and carry my phone or tablet to customers for observation. ### 5/5 — Handy app! *2022-04-14, version 2.2.10* I like the new text and drawing features, easy to call out issues or things to note in a pipe. I use my iPad as a 2nd screen, customers can see what’s on my monitor. The remote keypad is useful, I can turn on the sonde from my phone when setup on a roof. Recording/sending videos and pics from my phone saves time. ### 5/5 — Used amongst Yorkshire teams *2020-11-24, version 2.2.6* Fantastic APP great usability clear to understand and functional with us at Yorkshire water, Evan so good I’ve created my own PowerPoint tutorial step by step how to connect the 2 devices together and shared it across our fleet for the on-site teams to use this great APP and it’s facilities, Especially great for COVID-19 with the 2m distance rules make our teams work more efficiently whilst still remaining the gap between one another. Amazed by managers at YW with the great use of the APP. The only feature missing is the ability to type from the app to the camera through a keyboard on the phone as this can take a while using the buttons on the box. It’s ridiculous and this equipment is soooooo expensive that it should work flawlessly. I reported the issue at the beginning of the year and still no fixes . The keyboard does not pull up when clicking the pencil button, I use a via and have no other options to add text SeeScan please fix, also when deleting media from the app it does not delete the folder, very weird, this equipment cost way too much for the software not to work properly, also the DSL is not working on the micro drain apx.
