### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work At All

*2025-06-07*

Completely useless. In no sense of the word does this app work. Literally does’t work on the watch at all. The watch tells me to start the app on my phone and the app on my phone tells me to start the app on my watch and the app on the watch tells me to start the app on my phone then the app on my phone tells me to start the app on my watch. Doesn’t work. Don’t waste your time.

**Developer response:** The message that you get on your phone is just an information, if you go further and start a workout in HR2VP on your phone, it will detect automatically your watch if a workout has been started in HR2VP on it. Just be sure that you selected 'Apple watch or no sensor' as the sensor type and don't try to pair with BLE to your watch. I invite you to watch our Youtube tutorial and contact us if you need more support.

### 1/5 — Poor connection

*2025-05-31*

Wasted $$. Barely connects to Garmin HR200. Power goes up and then back to zero. Warm up never ends

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for your feedback. A heart rate of 100 bpm is generally too low to complete the warm-up phase. You may need to either adjust your personal settings or complete a more thorough warm-up. For a more stable power output, you can also try adjusting the accuracy slider in the settings from "Accurate" to "Smooth."

We’d be happy to help you get the best experience possible—please don’t hesitate to reach out via email for personalized support.

### 1/5 — Poor connection

*2025-05-24*

Wasted $$. App asks me to warm up almost indefinitely. Watts go up and then back to 0 when my Fenix is broadcasting my Heartrate over 100 bpm.

### 1/5 — No go.

*2025-05-03, version 7.4.2*

DL’d app to iPhone, AW7 and Connect IQ. When active, the BPM indicates constant 0 on the AW. Connect IQ install is perpetually “Install Qued” and the app is not listed as installed in Connect IQ or Edge 530. I went through the YouTube tutorial multiple times and the 530 is synching with Connect and Connect IQ just fine. This app appears to be a wonky bust to me.

### 2/5 — Caveat Emptor - it’s only a display and it’s unstable

*2025-02-17*

I thought this would keep me from buying a heart rate chest strap and let me use my Apple Watch as a HRM. What this does is push your heart rate to a data field on your garmin. That’s it. What it doesn’t do is let Garmin use that heart rate data to calculate other metrics. Also, it’s finicky - it would often cut out the transmission mid ride, and if you don’t have it as the “top app” it won’t broadcast at all. So all in all … I’m now shopping for a heart rate chest strap.

**Developer response:** Sorry to hear that the app didn’t meet your expectations. The limitation you mentioned is due to Garmin’s system—heart rate data from external apps isn’t treated as native because Garmin doesn’t allow developers to push HR data directly into FIT files. As for background communication, this is a relatively new feature, and we are actively working on improving its stability. We appreciate your feedback and are continuously working on enhancing the experience. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out to us via email—we’d be happy to help!

### 1/5 — Broken

*2023-06-11, version 6.0*

App is a joke. Zwift wont recognize the signal fully and will show you “no signal” even being connected to zwift. When trying to connect to a sensor it shows dozens of weird codes and scrolling reveals just blank pages.. screen resolution is broken, too and bottom of screen are not even fully visible. App throws weird error pops up at you, like: “1::Error Domain=kCLEErrorDomain Code=1 (null)”. What the heck does that even mean!!? Paid and cancel the very same day. Gonna test it out on my android phone but honestly they shouldnt sell it on iphone market if its broken to begin with. Apple you disappoint me by allowing an untested cr-app on your platform!

### 3/5 — Works as expected… but…

*2023-05-04, version 6.0*

Like the app. Worked as described but could you please please please get a proper app designer and app developer to make a better looking app. I appreciate looks aren’t everything but it does look and feel pretty awful.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2023-01-07, version 5.13*

iPhone SE 2 using Wahoo Elemnt Bolt 2. All my sensors work on phone & bolt, including cheap hr strap but this app doesn’t see them. The interface is very poor and I couldn’t logon after registration.

### 3/5 — Fixed the app crashing, glad I can use it again

*2022-11-29*

App works for riding a fitness center bike when traveling, allows me to continue using Zwift. Difficult to maintain a steady wattage by HR, but approximates it with a little tweaking. Glad the crashing was fixed for iOS from October 2022.

**Developer response:** Hi, I am sorry if you had some trouble. I had a look into this issue, it seems to be bound to an OS update (16) a few days ago. I've seen on the web that other developers gor the same issue. I answered you per mail, if you still have trouble, feel free to come back to me.

### 1/5 — Paid for app but won’t recognise it

*2022-05-03, version 5.0*

Paid for the app but still says I’m using a free account and limits usage to 15 mins

### 1/5 — Hopeless. Doesn’t work

*2022-04-09*

Hopeless another app. Doesn’t even connect to Apple Watch.

**Developer response:** HR2VP is not compatible with the Apple watch which is not a regular heart rate monitor broadcasting over Bluetooth. I invite you to pick up a Bluetooth Smart HRM. There are affordable and accurate models on the market.

### 2/5 — Need help.

*2022-03-19*

Paid for subscription 2x. (2 months). Got connected multiple times and accumulated almost 2 hrs. Of training. Now app won’t recognize my device or account log on. Sent email thru contact form on site with no response( 4 days). Need advice now

**Developer response:** We have answered your request per mail. If you still have trouble, feel free to contact us again. Thanks for using HR2VP!

### 1/5 — Fail

*2021-09-01*

I downloaded the app and bought 1 month subscription to give it a good try. I read that it couldn’t run at the same time as another app. So I deleted ad downloaded on another device and it asked to pay again. So I went back to original device and it is recognizing my purchase. Either refund my 1.99 so I can purchase again, or cancel my subscription.

Why does this app have to be so difficult.

JQ

**Developer response:** Gillgirl9, the app is free to try, which allows you to test your setup before buying. Only Lifetime can be used on a different phone, if you bought a subscription, you need to be refunded first and then you will be able to buy again if you want to. The fact that you have to use a different phone is due to the Bluetooth technology itself : a Bluetooth device cannot connect to itself, so we have no other choice... I invite to contact us per mail 'contact@bipr.fr' to get more help and ask for refund.

### 1/5 — Not at all accurate

*2021-05-13, version 3.0*

I purchased this software to us with Zwift in the gym. Connects well with zwift. It only shows 50% effort. For instance I sit at 150 watts on my gym bike and it only shows 70 watts. Great idea but hits well below the mark. Hope this is improved.

### 1/5 — Worked until I purchased a lifetime subscription

*2026-07-16*

I thought this was a great idea since I have an Apple Watch. I understand that this only supplies a data field but does not record on my Garmin as heart rate (a limitation by Garmin). I thought it was still worthwhile so I purchased a lifetime subscription. However, it no longer works! I start a workout in the app on my watch and phone, then on the Garmin. But the data field is 0 in both the Garmin and the HR2VP app. I sent an email to the developer but did not receive a reply. I will try to get a refund from Apple.

To developers: there may not be a reason but it does not work. Yes both devices have the newest updates. Yes I see my hr on the watch but the data field on the Garmin still shows 0 for hr.

"There is no reason the app stopped working after you purchased the License. Did you update both devices (phone and watch) ? Do you see your HR numbers on your watch?"

**Developer response:** There is no reason the app stopped working after you purchased the License. Did you update both devices (phone and watch) ? Do you see your HR numbers on your watch?

### 1/5 — Integration to a Garmin bike computer.

*2026-05-28*

I have been trying to use the app with the Garmin 1050 for a few months now. I’ve gone through endless attempts, including uninstalling and reinstalling the app at least five times.

Grégory Cordier at BIPR has provided great support, but unfortunately he also admitted that there is nothing else to do, and it does not seem to support the Garmin 1050 bike computer.

### 1/5 — Worked until I purchased a lifetime subscription

### 1/5 — Worked until I purchased a life timesubscription

*2026-05-15, version 7.4.3*

### 1/5 — HORRIBLE!

*2026-03-13*

I was in trial mode. Forgot about it. Then the app took over my Garmin 1050 screen when trial mode ended. It would not go away. I lost my navigation and my workout display. Horrible. What are you guys thinking. You have to come up with a better way!

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2025-12-03*

Dang, a monthly subscription or one-time cost of thirty two large just to send my Apple Watch heart rate to my Garmin Edge… Immediately uninstalled after finding the one simple feature that everyone wants locked behind a paywall.

No thank you.

**Developer response:** Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Just to clarify for anyone reading: the app can be fully tested for free in 15-minute sessions, including sending Apple Watch heart rate to a Garmin Edge. This allows users to verify everything works before deciding on a purchase.

Longer sessions require a subscription or one-time unlock, which supports ongoing development and ensures the app remains reliable and compatible with new devices and updates.

I understand not everyone wants to pay for this functionality, and that’s completely fine — but for users looking for a solution, the options are there.
If you’d like any help testing the connection, feel free to reach out.

### 1/5 — Scam

*2025-10-19*

The developers are generic and don’t really help resolve issues. Not satisfied

**Developer response:** The issue you mentionned in your message was able the store itself and not the app. We didn't develop the part of code when you click on the download button and don't get the data field on your device, which is why I can only give you generic answers... On our side, we would like that the field always gets on the device when the download button is pressed, but this is a Garmin Connect issue and it seems we are not the only app concerned.

### 1/5 — Does not work with garmin total scam

*2025-09-11*

Do not buy this. Does not work with Garmin 540.

**Developer response:** I invite you to have a look at our tutorial here: https://bipr.fr/connect-apple-watch-to-garmin-edge
In addition, I am here to provide you some support per mail if you want to: 'contact@bipr.fr'. There are differents steps in the process, be sure to download the data field on your Garmin and add it to one of your screen, grant all permissions for the app especially Bluetooth and Health permissions and enable broadcasting to Garmin data field. Last point, it is possible to test the app before buying in order to be sure your setup is working properly... So, the app has nothing to do with a scam, we are doing our best to allow people to connect devices while riding on the bike...

### 1/5 — Crashes after 15 seconds

*2025-07-07, version 7.4.2*

This app is absolute garbage. I paid for a monthly subscription but can only ride for 15 seconds until it just constantly cancels my ride and goes back to its main menu. You try to look on the help section, nothing there available. Charging for this app is bad in itself (I won’t get my days back even if the issue is resolved I bet) but for it to not to work also is poor. Please do NOT waste your money.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2025-06-28*

If you are trying to use this for your Apple Watch to transmit heat rate to Garmin it doesn’t work

**Developer response:** I invite you to follow our tutorial on our webpage and watch the Youtube video in order to be sure to complete every step. Feel free to contact us directly to get some support.
Update 29.07.25 : the same issue was solved for someone else by deleting Garmin Connect and then install it again on the phone, if you want to try... In addition, check that Bluetooth is granted for the phone app and Health as well...

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app!!

*2024-01-22, version 6.2*

Been using the app with my spin bike. Use a heart strap along with a cadence sensor. Pretty awesome! Works nicely. Would love to be able to upload to garmin too.

### 5/5 — Une super application

*2023-02-03, version 5.14*

J’utilise HR2VP avec un home traîner classique après avoir régler les paramètres ça marche très bien
Le support est très réactif et précis
Merci Gregory

### 5/5 — Excellent app for Zwift

*2022-04-30, version 5.0*

I have been using HR2VP for a few months now; I have a good spin bike and Polar H10 HRM. It has worked pretty flawlessly throughout and has massively reduced the barrier for entry into the Zwift universe when compared to the cost of power pedals and/or turbo trainer and bike.

I haven’t used a Wattbike or turbo before so I cannot comment on the accuracy, however it strikes me as being accurate enough.

### 5/5 — Zwift

*2021-11-26, version 4.12*

I left a negative review last time but figured out that how it connects is a little different but all in good working order. App works great.

### 5/5 — Great for zwift

*2021-05-22*

Best way to use Zwift without a power meter. Much better than speed sensor. Just take into account that it has a certain delay since it relies on heart rate and it's not good for sprints. But pretty great overall if you want to use Zwift on a budget.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your nice fedback. Enjoy training on Zwift with your heart rate monitor!

### 5/5 — Ça marche !

*2020-12-04, version 2.3*

je corrige mon avis initial : ça marche du tonnerre !
Ça ne marche plus ! Pas sérieux

### 5/5 — Great!

*2020-07-09, version 1.4*

Great cheap way to use any kind of exercise bike with zwift. Would be nice if it sent heart rate to zwift as well as power

### 4/5 — Great but minor change needed

*2021-01-16*

Overall this app is great! The power is surprisingly accurate and it works perfectly with Zwift. The only downside is that I'm unable to minimize the app or close my phone screen while using it - it'll just pause my Zwift ride. This would be a nice feature to have, but not a deal breaker.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback! You're right, background execution would be a nice feature which has been implemented on Android. We'll see in the future if we can implement it on iOS as well.

### 4/5 — Follow up

*2021-01-01*

App didn’t connect with my Apple Watch so I purchased a Polar OH1+ Optical Heart Rate Sensor and the app connects to it.

My subscription still says I’m using free but I can work with that since it is now working with Zwift.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback, enjoy training on Zwift !

### 3/5 — Sur Garmin, ça arrête souvent.

*2025-07-17, version 7.4.2*

J’ai eu de la difficulté à l’installer et après, lors de randonnée l’indicateur arrête. J’ai un iPhone et I Watch.
Pouvez-vous aider sinon mon abonnement à vie sera inutile
