### 2/5 — My HS3Touch License Just Got Disabled

*2019-03-09, version 3.58*

So now my HS3Touch license which I bought to go with my HomeSeer doesn’t work because apparently too many people thought this was for homeseer so they disabled the app.

How do I reactivate my HS3Touch license and get past the big blue screen?

### 1/5 — Needs a lot of work...

*2018-12-31, version 3.51*

This app is terrible on the iPhone. I’ve been using the android version until I bought an iPhone, and I know how well the app works on android and the iOS version is glitchy.

### 1/5 — Does not work for visually impaired users who make use of voiceover at all!

*2018-10-29, version 3.50*

Really, any app developer should be able to put basic voiceover functionality into their app; labeling buttons is a very good first start. This app has no accessibility at all, and yet disable people are some of the most desirous of making use of home automation. Home seer can do better.

### 1/5 — Unable to get out of demo mode

*2018-07-12, version 3.50*

Unable to get out of demo mode, now way to configure it.

### 1/5 — Crashes all the time

*2018-04-26, version 3.44*

I managed to make the old HS2 app working regardless of some bugs. This one HS3 is way worse than the old one. Practically unusable.

### 3/5 — It's OK. Not great

*2017-10-07, version 3.39*

Connects reliably into HomeSeer. Beyond that little good to say.

Old app infrastructure with limited features. Device status won't auto refresh. The very distant HOMEKIT integration is likely years away. At best?

### 1/5 — Not useful

*2017-07-12, version 3.25*

You can't even log in to your home seer.

### 2/5 — Such a shame

*2017-07-10, version 3.25*

HS3 is a very powerful automation system, but lacking in front end polish. Mobile control is the most obvious place to focus your efforts. This app needs a significant update.

Using hostname as server address always seems to struggle, maybe internal DNS issue.

### 3/5 — HS3 needs updating

*2017-06-01, version 3.25*

Works reasonably well but need several major enhancements

1) Notifications with sounds. It's totally within the abilities of iOS for HS3TOUCH to issue voice notifications when the phone is locked. Other apps do this all of the time and so should HS3TOUCH. No recuse for this not being present in the app.

2) The ability to turn off confirmation when clicking on a event to run. Maybe this can be done when you write your own using the HSTouch program when creating screens but you should be able to turn if off even on the base screens.

### 1/5 — It just does not work

*2017-05-16, version 3.25*

I have tried everything to get this app to work and give up, life is too short. HS3 is excellent so why oh why can't Homeseer sort this app out?

### 2/5 — Missed Opportunity

*2017-03-21, version 3.25*

I've come from Vera, migrating because the Vera Plus unit just wasn't reliable enough. After setting up 50+ devices with HS3 I can safety say HomeeSeer as a platform is solid. I don't think I've had a single command packet lost whereas with the Vera every request was a gamble. So with HS3 I'm very happy. However... this app, which is HomeSeer's official iOS remote access offering, is appalling. Vera's UI and usability is infinitely better. I'm amazed as HomeSeer have been in business for so long they really should have this nailed. It seems the hunt for a perfect end to end solution continues, till then I'll use ImperiHome with HS3 backend.

HomeSeer - This app hasn't been updated for half a year!?!

### 1/5 — Homeseer Down

*2016-12-10, version 3.25*

12/8 & 12/9 HS3 is down and nobody answers the phone. Most good smart home providers send emails to their customers if there's going to be outages or updates

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — buggy

*2022-11-21, version 3.60*

Hangs at “getting data” making it an unreliable app

### 1/5 — This is fraud...

*2020-11-03, version 3.60*

What a complete waste of time. This piece of shlt app does not work. Cannot connect and then you cannot even change settings or connect locally...
What a fugging joke this company is. pathetic.

### 1/5 — New Version is Insufferable

*2019-04-07, version 3.60*

The old version was buggy and frustrating. The new version won't even authenticate. With home automation becoming more mainstream, there's just no good reason to keep struggling with any of the Homeseer products.

### 1/5 — Stopped working

*2019-03-20, version 3.60*

I am very frustrated with the latest changes. Can’t use the device anymore. It is embarrassing when you want to show someone a cool stuff in your house, and you cannot even access it. Egg on the face. Outdated view of user and uses, with today’s home automation dependable and everywhere. I don’t want to be constantly reentering everything into antiquated user interface. Dated and unstable.....

### 1/5 — HomeSeer broke the app without warning

*2019-03-09, version 3.58*

Thanks HomeSeer, your latest version breaks functionality and to make matters worse it appears to be deliberate.
Please please please when making MAJOR changes like this change the major version number so most people will be aware and wary of updating.
This latest release should be 4.00 not 3.58! Used to be a great app.

### 1/5 — Unable to login

*2019-03-08, version 3.58*

Since the last update, I cannot login anymore.

### 1/5 — Latest update broken

*2019-03-08, version 3.58*

Have an iPad Pro.
Worked great for years, now pops up ‘Could not authenticate’ window.

### 1/5 — Very Unhappy!

*2019-03-08, version 3.58*

I am very unhappy with HomeSeer for suddenly making this app unavailable! They should have let users know that they were going to be changing the availability of this app and given us a few days to migrate to the new (and less capable) app. Very unprofessional!

### 1/5 — Latest version bad

*2019-03-07, version 3.58*

The latest ver that came out on 3/6/19 will not connect to HomeSeer server.

Please provide old version

### 1/5 — Let me go back to the previous version

*2019-03-07, version 3.58*

Installing this one because in the explanation say that improved for iPhone X. After installing a message say that I need to use the new mobile apps that crash and not support energy meters. How I can return to the previous version that works perfect.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Happy this works again!

*2019-04-19, version 3.60*

I am so happy I’m able to connect again with the original Homeseer mobile app. The new one was more complicated and the interface didn’t look as good as this “old” one. Who cares anyway as long as you can touch a button and get a response from the light or switch almost instantly. Besides, I use Alexa most of the time, so this basic mobile app is just fine for my needs. It has worked well for years!

### 5/5 — Designer HSTouch is advanced

*2019-03-21, version 3.60*

Read some of the reviews and one thing to keep in mind is that HSTouch is not for beginners. While there is a default project that looks outdated, the intent of HSTouch is for the more advanced user to design their own user home automation interface. With time, there have been some great UIs designed and HSTouch is a great app!

### 5/5 — Very Helpful App

*2018-12-07, version 3.51*

This app is very helpful

### 5/5 — Version 3.5

*2018-07-04, version 3.50*

This version 3.5 solves all previous issues. Homeseer home control software is by far the most comprehensive and configurable software of its type. It takes a little time to master but rewards you when you do. HS Touch is the perfect front end for the system - infinitely programmable and very powerful.

### 5/5 — Black screen issues

*2015-11-12, version 3.0.0.15*

The reason for the black screen is it's not loading the proper template. You can simply uninstall the and reinstall it. Enter in your login credentials and it will now display correctly.

Not sure who's fault this is, but I know this works. I am a certified installer.

Yes there are other home automation products out there and NONE work smoothly!!!

Homeseer is a phone call away! They have gone above and beyond to solve issues I may of had. Good luck with any other company or if you can even understand them. Example Vera

### 4/5 — My favorite app.

*2018-07-30, version 3.50*

This app/system is much better than the reviews reflect. So far, it’s the best integrated home control app that I’ve seen. Give it a try. Remote access can be complicated. Tough it out and you’ll be very pleased.

### 4/5 — Pretty basic but does the job

*2017-10-24, version 3.40*

Needs support for the Apple Watch.

Also would be nice if they had HomeKit integration. Seems like a no brained these days.

### 4/5 — Update

*2016-10-20, version 3.0.0.22*

Thank you for finally coming out with an update, it is way overdue. Hopefully it fixes my passcode issue.

### 3/5 — Latest update won’t launch

*2019-03-08, version 3.58*

March 7 2019 update immediately crashes when launched. Used to work just fine.

### 3/5 — Works OK, but feels dated

*2018-12-31, version 3.51*

Works ok, but has its its quirks. For example, on my ipad, you can only see the full screen in landscape mode. If you orient the tablet to portrait mode, it cuts off the right side of the screen. Things like this make it feel dated.

I do use it periodically and do find that it generally works. Would use it more if it was updated. In the mean time, there's always the Alexa or google home apps.
