The main dashboard should total your total balance with and without investment money but does not. It is left for you to go to different sections of the app and add them together yourself if that’s something you want to do. Also a big problem is when you are using Face ID ….at least from an iPhone 12 when you log out, it automatically tries to re scan your face and log in. I believe this is causing the most pain in the butt part of the app…..which is a few days or even the next day you go to log in and the the Face ID is disabled and you have to constantly re-setup Face ID. Even when you set up Face ID, the process has issues. You have to log manually to set up which is expected, but then when you hit the buttons to set up Face ID it makes you log in manually again…WHY? You just did that to get to that screen. Now, if only it didn’t require 2FA… The face token should be enough At least it is for all my other bank apps. ### 2/5 — Horrible personal banking transaction history requirement *2026-05-26, version 3.27.24* Really disappointing to learn what’s required in order to set up direct reimbursement with your bank. HSA Bank requires you to share the banking and all transaction history with them via their data service provider just to process a direct deposit for expense reimbursement. Thats right, the entire “transaction history” from your connected bank. This means EVERY account associated with your bank login. Under any circumstances does HSA Bank need your account transaction history to process a deposit. This is a bad violation of personal privacy. After speaking with their customer service department they do not offer a manual work around to prevent this type of personal intrusion and didn’t even care about the concern I raised. ### 3/5 — Menu shifts too high to function *2026-05-07, version 3.26.96* App works ok. Also, every time you use a feature that opens a browser, the top navigation goes behind the time, signal, and battery indicators making them unreachable. Upon login, the loading wheel spins and spins and spins and will continue to spin. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app a dozen times. I’ve tried downloading the app on different devices. I’ve tried with and without VPN active. On both wifi and mobile service. It’s been months. It does not matter what I do. I cannot log in to view my balance. And it seems like everyone is having some variation of this problem according to recent reviews. Refusing to release an update that puts that app back into working condition is neglecting the patients that HSA bank signed up to help when they offered a service like this and they should be ashamed. ### 1/5 — Plaid integration not working *2026-04-16, version 3.26.64* Get Plaid integration fixed please!! The sizing of the upper menu often extend to the battery bar. The drop down menu in the upper right corner is not working properly making it difficult to log out. Also, it is not recognizing my biometrics so I have had to use my password login. The popup itself cannot be closed with the “x” . App is very slow to respond and sometimes the when filing a claim the validation on the name text box is not working properly. ### 1/5 — Getting Reimbursed Is a Constant Headache *2026-08-20, version 3.27.64* In my experience, HSA Bank makes getting reimbursed unnecessarily difficult, even though it is your own money. I’ve had reimbursement issues involving amounts ranging from a couple hundred dollars to as little as $20, and resolving them has been an exhausting waste of time. Customer service from a manager Taire C. was bad as well. Clearly needed help and was meet with rudeness. ### 1/5 — Awful *2026-08-15, version 3.27.64* App is awful and always has been. Fix the login already. Every month I have to change my password because i save it to my passwords and then suddenly it’s the wrong password. And then Face ID also stops working? Uninstalled. ### 1/5 — Horribly buggy app *2026-05-21, version 3.27.24* First off HSA Bank is terrible all around b/c it’s actual users are captives, they have no choice in which bank their HSA account is at; all the decisions are made by their employer or employer’s benefits provider. Because the users have zero control, HSA Bank thinks, nay it *knows* that it can cheap out on the app and deliver a horrible, buggy experience and never completely fix it. On my iPhone 16 Pro Max, when I go to any page after logging in, the top menu bar shrinks and hides behind the battery indicator and clock where I can’t tap it. Investments don’t have charts? No % returns? Nothing. Logging in with multiple accounts is trash, faceid doesn’t work between spouse accounts. Try logging out and faceid forces you right back in.
