Listed as a free app…well it is free to download but if you want to do more than have it take up space on your device, you have to pay $2.99/WEEK!
And if you select the tiny 3-day trial option, the price increases to $3.99/week.
Not worth it, use something else.

Absolutely pathetic. Wouldn’t let me even start looking at code before throwing up a hard to close, or nearly hard to close popup begging me to pay the premium version.
Visual Studio Code is free. This app turned a 30 second task into a fiasco. Should be kicked off the App Store & developers should be ashamed of themselves.

As soon as you install the app it asks to sign up for free trail and you cant close it, unless you exit the app. Always leave an option to SKIP something!

What am I missing? I can’t edit anything in the rendered view, and it doesn’t navigate to the corresponding html. So all it’s doing is showing me the result faster? Not very helpful and definitely not worth $3.99 a week. A WEEK? with no other options? But I’m not even here to complain about the pay wall. I understand that apps cost money to develop, but there should be some utility. I don’t get it.
But about the paywall popup. I don’t know how this app passed App Store review. It says it is FREE. And then as soon as you try to use it, you are forced to subscribe even for the trial. That’s deceptive, and it should really be removed from the App Store.

Abrupt, non-reversible paywall popup when I clicked “Learn”, there is no back or X button. I exited the app and finished the session to relaunch the app. The paywall came back with no X button. I’m giving you one star because it’s a clearly misdesigned app when it comes to UX

It locked has a floating screen blocking the DEAD CENTER of your screen and can’t be closed unless you pay for the full version. If you have a WALL size monitor, you can see the HTML Editor screen on the side, otherwise, you can’t really use anything on your screen!

As much as this is a cliché phrase, I don’t leave reviews on apps very often. Normally adulation and praise would follow after I’ve said that, but I’m afraid I have the absolute antithesis of that.
Just don’t download this app. I used it once yesterday and it was fine. Then today I literally could not open it without subscribing to their service. There is no way to back out of that window. There is no X to click, no “no thanks option”. You physically cannot use the app until you subscribe to their service.
I’m not going to do that, so now the file I was working on is effectively lost permanently because they’ve bricked their own app until you subscribe.
What an absolute joke. This is unacceptable. I’ve never been so disappointed using an app in my life. The editor itself is fine. It works well.
But how can you force users to subscribe to your service to use your app and not expect them to be frustrated?
Absolute nonsense.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD this app. Not until they fix this.
It’s not just me saying this by the way; this sentiment has been repeated by many users. As of July 23, 2026, this app is completely bricked if you don’t subscribe to their service.
Supposedly this app used to be free too. Honestly, devs? Shame on you. At least give us THE OPTION to use the app without forking £3.99 A WEEK.
