Due to budget constraints and driver shortages, the recycle pickups are usually delayed but the actual pickup date is not posted. The green cans sit on the curb sometimes up to a week. The yard waste is shown to be picked up weekly and usually shows “delayed”. My yard waste recycle bag sat on the curb for 4 weeks. Neighbor’s yard waste plastic bags all fell apart before pickup. ### 4/5 — It’s good but. . . *2025-03-04, version 2023.8.11* I find this app very useful, but sometimes the information is not correct ### 4/5 — User friendly but not always accurate *2025-02-20* I find this app to be easy to navigate and user-friendly, but sometimes the information provided is not correct. We often have days when our recycling truck doesn’t come (usually due to weather or a holiday). They only come every other week so if they miss us one week, they don’t make it up the next week and we wait an additional two weeks before pick-up. The app will sometimes say they are coming when they actually don’t. Otherwise, it’s a great app and has a lot of helpful information. ### 3/5 — Informative *2025-02-10, version 2023.8.11* It is a wonderful idea to try and let us know when the city will be by to pick up. Most consistent is trash. Least consistent is leaf pick up the green bags break down before they get there to pick them up. I've seen trucks out in the evenings and on weekends picking up all the extra debris! GREAT job to all the men and women who work so hard! My hat's off to y'all!! No more. The calendar only displays in a list format instead of like an actual calendar grid like it used to. There is very limited information available about the trash collection schedule. Where is the search function? Côme on, Houston, you can and should do better! Trash pick-up is a necessity not a luxury. My settings are all correct yet I don’t get notifications. ### 1/5 — Says it will notify me on trash day *2023-06-26* It doesn’t. App is worthless if it doesn’t do the one thing it says it does. All other apps I own don’t have notification problems so don’t fall for the developers lazy response that it’s your settings. Any other app’s notifications work. So this developer just needs to fix the notifications or rebuild the app on a stable framework. But it’s not the user’s fault their app doesn’t work. Fix the app. Don’t blame your users. Ironically I can't even rate the app but if I could it would not be good since it is unusable! ### 1/5 — Good to have but some bugs *2022-12-07* The reminders are super helpful, and it’s easy to report my cans being passed over or delays with them (which is unfortunately more often than I’d like). Most recently, I was trying to enter in a new address and it keeps saying the address is serviced by West University Place. It is NOT serviced by West University Place, and I get a popup that tells me to download the west U app. If the app developers see this, please advise. My address and service area appears correctly when I search it on the arcgis website on my computer. **Developer response:** Hello! I hope leaders are listening to your feedback. The illegal dumping in acres homes is frustrating. Paid jobs get dumped on Easter and little your right after you filled an entire truck. Is there some type of portable cam that can be used.
