## What is HuaGo?

Type in English and get Taiwanese Mandarin with Zhuyin.

HuaGo is a translator made only for Taiwanese Mandarin, the Chinese spoken in Taiwan.
Every result is shown in Taiwanese Mandarin, split into words, with Zhuyin (Bopomofo) or Pinyin above every character and tones shown in color.

■ Switch the direction with one button
"English to Taiwanese Mandarin" turns what you want to say into Taiwanese Mandarin with Zhuyin.
"Taiwanese Mandarin to English" adds readings and an English translation to Traditional Chinese you can't read.

■ Tap a word to hear how it sounds in Taiwan
Tap any word to hear it right away. Press and hold it to see its Zhuyin, Pinyin and meaning.
You can also play the whole sentence.

■ Talk face to face with Taiwanese people
The top half of the screen is shown upside down for the person across from you.
Tap the mic and speak in English: HuaGo translates it into Taiwanese Mandarin and reads it aloud. When the other person speaks Chinese, it is translated into English.
Their words also appear on your side with Zhuyin, so you can learn how to say it yourself.

■ Paste or take a photo
Chat messages, handouts, menus and signs.
Paste copied text, or take a photo and select the area you want to read.

■ Everything you look up is saved in History
Translations and conversations are saved automatically. Tap one to open it again.
Sentences a Taiwanese person said to you are marked "Taught".

■ Readings used in Taiwan
Readings follow the dictionaries of Taiwan's Ministry of Education. HuaGo assumes Traditional Chinese and Taiwanese pronunciation.

■ No account needed
Start right away without signing up. We never ask for your email address.
Voice input is not recorded or stored.

The app is available in English, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Malay and Japanese.

I'm a Japanese student studying semiconductors in Taiwan, and I built HuaGo to solve a problem I had every day.
