## What is HuckYA?

HuckYA is the field side of Huck Ya, the scheduling and invoicing system for small service businesses. The office plans the work on the web; the crew runs the day from their phones — and everything they record flows back the moment there's signal.

Built offline-first. When the work goes off the grid, the app goes with it: the day's jobs, customers, maps, checklists, and prices are already on the phone. Punch in, finish jobs, add notes and photos — it all syncs when you're back in coverage.

WHAT THE CREW CAN DO
• See the day: every job with its time, address, and directions
• Map the route: today's pins, your position, and current weather at a glance
• Clock in and out, with a reminder when you arrive at the shop
• Time hourly work with a per-job timer
• Add notes and photos the office sees right away
• Work through checklists — one-off, daily, weekly, or monthly
• Record expenses against the job
• Draft quotes and invoices from the price book, right in the driveway

WHAT THE OFFICE GETS
• One shared record per job — schedule, field history, and billing stay connected
• Notes and photos land on the job as the crew adds them
• Drafts from the field arrive ready to review and send
• QuickBooks-linked invoicing

HuckYA is built for crews that work past the edge of coverage — docks, shorelines, back lots, and the middle of nowhere. If your business runs on a truck and a phone, this is the phone half.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4.0 — 2026-09-10

Crew names everywhere. The job screen now has a Crew row showing who is assigned, and the timeline names the person behind each note, photo, and status change instead of showing a blank. Names arrive with your regular sync and stay current when someone on the team updates their profile.

A screen for each customer. Tap a customer on the Customers tab to open their own page: phone and email you can tap, billing address, every property they have with you, and their recent jobs. Previously this tap ran a name search that often found nothing.

Grouped map pins list their jobs. When several jobs share a pin, tapping it now shows each job's title, customer and time so you can choose, instead of opening whichever one came first.

Punchcard refreshes on sync. Clock-ins and hours update the moment a background sync finishes, with no need to leave and return to the tab.

Sync windows line up with your day. The range of jobs your phone keeps offline now starts and ends at midnight in your local time, so a day's schedule never straddles two pulls, and the Settings screen names the last day it covers.

Under the hood. The offline banner clears itself as soon as a sync succeeds. One shared rule now decides a job's location on both the phone and the office, so pins and addresses cannot disagree. This version rebuilds the phone's local database on first launch; expect one full sync the first time you open it.

### 1.3.0 — 2026-08-20

HuckYA 1.3.0 is the biggest update yet — the phone stops being a window and becomes a tool.

• Draft quotes and invoices from the job site. Build them from your company's price book, right on the job — the office reviews before anything is sent.
• Job timer. Time hourly work with its own start/stop on the job screen, separate from your daily punch clock — plus a reminder to clock in when you arrive at the shop.
• Your profile, your color. Add a photo, a nickname, and your schedule color from Settings.
• See your crew on the map. Teammates who opt in appear at their last known spot — sharing is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it off anytime.
• Checklists, all of it. Create lists — one-time or repeating daily, weekly, or monthly — add and remove lines, check things off, and read each list's history.
• Sticky notes on your day. Office reminders and tasks now show above the day's jobs.
• Weather at a glance. Current temperature and wind on the map, tucked out of the way of the buttons.
• Fix your notes. Edit or delete your own job notes — the full history stays on record for the office.
• One consistent look. Every button and control now wears the same HuckYA blue, in light and dark mode.
• Faster, more reliable sync, including a fix for customers that could take a long time to appear on some phones.
