## What is HuddleNotes?

HuddleNotes records your in‑person meetings and turns them into a clean transcript, a concise summary, and ready‑to‑use action items — created entirely on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded. No account. No subscription. Just open the app and tap once, or add the widget to your lockscreen.

Most meeting apps send your audio to the cloud. HuddleNotes doesn't. Recording, transcription, speaker separation, and summaries all run on‑device using Apple Intelligence. Your conversations never leave your iPhone unless you choose to share them.

ONE TAP TO RECORD
Open HuddleNotes and press Start. No setup screens, no sign‑in, no configuration. Recording keeps running when you lock the screen or switch apps, and a Live Activity keeps the timer and a live transcript on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• 100% on‑device — audio, transcripts, summaries, and voiceprints stay on your iPhone
• Works fully offline, in airplane mode, anywhere
• No accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no cloud
• A clear "On‑device · Offline" badge, always visible

UNDERSTANDS WHO SAID WHAT
• Automatic speaker separation
• Recognizes people by name when they introduce themselves
• Optional voice profiles: enroll a few seconds of a voice and HuddleNotes labels them automatically in every meeting
• Detects background/other conversations and keeps them out of your summary — add them back with one tap

NOTES THAT ACTUALLY HELP
• A thorough summary that captures the full context of the conversation
• Key points in the order they came up
• Decisions and action items, each with an owner and due date
• Search across every meeting, note, and action
• Rename speakers — it updates everywhere

LISTEN BACK
• Built‑in player with a follow‑along transcript that highlights as it plays
• Tap any line to jump to that moment

• Export to Markdown, PDF, plain text, or email
• Send a whole meeting to another device with AirDrop and finish processing there — record on one iPhone, transcribe and summarize on your iPad

MADE FOR iPhone AND iPad
• A focused one‑handed experience on iPhone
• A roomy sidebar + detail layout on iPad
• A tap‑to‑record widget for your Home Screen and Lock Screen

PADDING THE DETAILS
• Set a storage limit that fits your iPhone
• Archive meetings instead of deleting; restore them anytime
• A Focus reminder so calls don't interrupt your recording

REQUIREMENTS
On‑device transcription and summaries use Apple Intelligence and require a compatible iPhone (iPhone 15 Pro or newer) running a supported version of iOS. On other devices you can still record, play back, and export your meetings; transcripts and summaries are created on supported hardware.

HuddleNotes is a one‑time purchase. No subscription, ever.

Please record responsibly and follow the laws in your area regarding recording conversations.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.2 — 2026-07-26

• Export a recording as an audio file — send a meeting or note to anyone; it plays on any device without the app
• My notes: add your own typed notes to any meeting or note
• Continue in background: leave the processing screen and your summary finishes on its own
• New Backup setting: recordings stay off iCloud/computer backups by default — turn it on anytime
• Fixes for importing older shared meetings and sharing to other apps

### 1.1 — 2026-06-29

HuddleNotes is a fully on-device, offline meeting & voice-note recorder. There are
no accounts, no sign-in, no servers, and no network calls — nothing to provide
credentials for.

WHAT'S NEW IN 1.1
• Voice Notes: solo personal notes with on-device transcript, summary, and action
items, kept in a separate "Notes" tab.
• Continue a note: append more audio to an existing note; each addition is summarized
on-device and added as its own dated section.
• Reliability fixes for search and for sharing exports to other apps.

HOW TO TEST
1. Tap "Start meeting" (or switch to the Notes tab and tap "New note") and grant the
microphone prompt. Speak for a few seconds, then tap the stop button.
2. The recording is transcribed and summarized ENTIRELY ON-DEVICE.
3. Open the result to see the transcript, summary, key points, and action items.
4. For Notes: open a note and tap "Continue note" to add more audio — the new summary
appears as a separate dated section.

REQUIREMENTS / EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
• On-device transcription and summaries use Apple Speech and Apple Intelligence
(Foundation Models), which require a compatible device (iPhone 15 Pro or newer)
running a supported iOS version. On other devices the app still records, plays back,
and exports; it shows a clear message that the on-device transcript/summary couldn't
  be generated rather than failing.
• Microphone permission is required to record. The app also reads Focus status (to
remind the user to silence calls before recording) and supports a Live Activity for
  the in-progress recording.

PRIVACY
Audio, transcripts, summaries, and any voice profiles never leave the device unless
the user explicitly exports or shares them. No analytics, no tracking, no third-party
SDKs.
