Yes you have to point a camera at the screen, how else would one expect to control dynamics. Future features and light fixes would be great. 1. Default settings should be no lights, not everyone. My whole house light up when it synced with the bridge..very minor. 2. Could it work with the new HUE entertainment zones? So if I set up a entertainment zone with four lights, two on the left and two on the right. The lights would change according using left and right sides, based on the picture. 3. Would be nice to cap the intensity of individual lights. The lights behind the tv are awesome the way you have it. But other lights in the room would be nice to cap at different intensity level, making them a lot more subtle and less bright. But this is a fantastic little app. Unlocks a whole new element to your Hue system. Really comes into its own when used with light strip round the back edge of your tv, we use this along with 4 uplighters in each corner of the room. Can be a little ineffective if you’re watching a movie, however when watching natural history stuff like blue planet/planet earth it’s absolutely superb. As is watching any live gig.
