### 1/5 — Don't buy.

*2014-11-01, version 2.0*

Doesn't connect to the bridge. Sent an email, but did not reply. Don't waste time & money.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2014-10-28, version 1.0*

What a waste of money. No real flicker. Just silly

### 1/5 — Would be great but doesn't work

*2014-10-22, version 1.0*

I thought this app would be cool but after it connects there's no way of turning on the light waste of money Apple should refund people when don't work

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work.

*2019-10-17, version 9.1*

I have the latest generation of bulbs and bridge. It doesn’t work.

### 1/5 — Broken App. No flicker effect.

*2019-06-19, version 9.1*

This app is broken since there is no flicker effect. A wast of $1.99. I would like my money back.

### 1/5 — No flicker

*2019-06-01, version 9.1*

As the title says.....I got no flicker. For me, this is a $2 app to turn on or change the color of my lights. Other free apps do that job much better.

### 1/5 — Dissatisfied

*2017-03-17, version 7*

As soon as my iPhone goes to sleep the app stops. This app will not run in the background? Terrible app

### 1/5 — Not Good

*2017-01-23, version 5*

Does make a candle effect with my bloom. However once my phone shuts off, or goes to sleep after not touching it for a minute, app shuts down and candle effect goes away.

If I knew of a work around or fix, I might rate it with more stars. Otherwise a useless app.

Might of been a waist of money.

### 1/5 — 💩

*2016-12-29, version 3.0*

Wow. What a piece of crap, no words. I guess I need to listen to other people review. I want my refund!!!

### 1/5 — Doesn't Pair with Bridge

*2016-12-23, version 3.0*

Does not work. Bridge pairs successfully with all other apps.

### 1/5 — DON'T BUY

*2016-12-09, version 3.0*

Won't even connect to my bridge. I never write reviews, but I really liked the dollar I spent on this. If you want, just send me a dollar and I will do nothing for you, you'll have the same effect.

### 1/5 — Don't buy

*2015-04-19, version 3.0*

No control for brightness and does not simulate candle at all

### 1/5 — Doesn't work. Doesn't do anything.

*2015-02-24, version 3.0*

No change except give somebody a free dollar. This is a major dud.

## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated)

### 4/5 — Much better than before!

*2017-05-22, version 8.0*

You would think that an app that you paid $1.99 would run in the background and continue the effect of your lights when your iPhone screen went dark. Very disappointing. UPDATE! I have an iPhone 6 Plus and the screen now stays lit up to keep the App active as long as you keep the app in the main window. Screen will not go to sleep until you turn the app off and I've noticed that my iPhone heats up a little bit, but not to any extreme to worry about it. Suggestion: keep your iPhone plugged in and well ventilated and everything should be fine. I'm happy that I can run the app for more than just a few minutes now. The app does a fine job with the candle effect! 👍

### 3/5 — Brightness

*2017-04-15, version 8.0*

I couldn't find a way to adjust the brightness.

### 3/5 — Does what it says but…

*2015-09-12, version 3.0*

…needs a brightness control. For some reason it looks like I want it to only for a few seconds after I flip the switch to turn it off.

### 2/5 — Could be better

*2017-01-08, version 4.0*

Not complaining about the speed or variation of the light flicker, but it's rather pointless if you have to keep the app open and the phone unlocked while wishing to have the effect continue. Wouldn't recommend until that is fixed.

### 2/5 — Don't bother until it is updated

*2017-01-08, version 4.0*

This app only has one color setting, which is a nauseating greenish yellow, you also can't control the average brightness and the lights are set too bright.

The actually flicker effect is nice, and you have some control over that, which is nice.

This app definitely has potential, but until you can control color and average brightness I would not recommend it.

### 2/5 — Made us feel ill

*2014-11-22, version 3.0*

Cool idea in theory, but in practice the it doesn't feel like a candle but more like someone playing with the lights until you feel unwell. Deleting after less than five minutes of use.

### 2/5 — Useless

*2014-11-13, version 3.0*

Nothing about this app is like a candle I installed it and had deleted it within five minutes. I get the concept in the theory behind it but it's basically useless
