Precise color identification - a 3x3 pixel sampling region and Lab-space matching against 2,300+ named colors gives you the closest real name, not a vague approximation.

Sample any photo, not just the live camera.

- Import Photo: pick any picture from your library and tap a pixel to get its exact color, same hex, RGB, HSB, and named-color detail as the live camera, plus one tap to save it to your palette.
- New "Choose Photo Instead" button on the camera permission and camera-denied screens, so you can start sampling colors even if you never grant camera access.
- Camera preview now pauses and resumes properly when you background the app or switch tabs, for smoother live sampling and less battery drain.
