## What is Hue Widgets?

Control your lights from your Home Screen.

With Hue Widgets, you can add widgets to your Home Screen that give you super quick access to your favorite Hue scenes. You can add actions to turn on or off all lights in a room or in your entire home. Controlling your Hue lights has never been easier!

Widgets can be configured with ease from within the app. You can add as many widgets to your Home Screen as you like.

Hue Widgets is free to try. You can create widgets for a single room or group, giving you a taste of the full Hue Widgets experience without any cost. Unlock the full, unlimited version with a one-time in-app purchase to access all rooms and groups.

From the beginning this app was developed with accessibility in mind. All features can be accessed using VoiceOver.

Man kann die App kostenlos Downloaden und danach ist eine Lampe oder ein Raum freigeschaltet und danach muss man sofort 1,99 zahlen. Eine Hue Bridge ist notwendig.

**Developer response:** I’m sorry to hear that you’re disappointed about the pricing model. Hue Widgets used to be a paid-up-front app. Unfortunately some customers purchased the app without realizing that you need a Hue Bridge to control their lights, or were not able to connect to it because of unusual network setups. I changed the pricing model to an in-app-purchase to let potential customers try out the app first and have them verify that Hue Widgets works with their setup. Again, I’m sorry to hear that this did not meet your expectation.

Do not waste your money on getting a full version !!!

Once in a while the widgets just stop working and now the app won't even open the home page.

I have had the app for two months. I’ve had to uninstall and reinstall twice every so often because it unlinks with bridge.

In theory it works well and when linked it works well.

But when you reinstall you have to completely rebuild the widgets. I frankly don’t have time to do that every couple of weeks.

So I have uninstalled and won’t be reinstalling

**Developer response:** I’m sorry you experienced this. So far I’ve not seen heard any complaints about unlinking bridges. And reconnecting should not destroy your widgets.

This app is doing the same thing an iOS shortcut can do. If you are looking for a way to toggle hue lights with one widget this is not the app for you. Disappointed I had to pay $2 to find this out.

"The One That Doubles Down"

This update introduces a new widget type: A small widget that has room for two actions, doubling its functionality from the previous version.

There’s also a new action available: one that toggles lights in a room or group on AND off, saving 50% space compared to separate on/off actions.

Other than that: The app's foundation has been rewritten, taking up 50% less storage on your device. And to top it off: You can now rename your widget configurations for better recognition and organization.

“The One That Gets Interactive”

Thanks to iOS 17, a much-requested feature has now become a reality. Hue Widgets finally allows you to control your lights from your Home Screen, without opening the app after tapping the widget.

Version 1.3.1 also improves an error message some users would see during the initial setup of the app, by making clear what is going on and what they could do to resolve this.
