### 1/5 — Give option of colors only

*2026-08-28*

Too busy with the shapes, allow colors only mode please or I won’t play this game any longer.

**Developer response:** Hi! Colors-only mode is still available. Open Hue9 Settings → Accessibility and turn off Symbol Mode. If symbols remain visible, please also check iPhone Settings → Accessibility → Display & Text Size → Differentiate Without Color, as Hue9 respects that system setting. Sorry for the confusion — we’ll make this option easier to find.

### 4/5 — The app I’ve been looking for!

*2026-07-12*

I love playing color sudoku, and have been looking for a simplified, beautifully laid out app version for many years. Was seriously thrilled to finally find this one! The design is super clean, pretty, and wonderfully customizable. Absolutely love it.

What I don’t love is the competitive-style play, and really wish it could be turned off. I want to play to relax and wind down, not be stressed about my time or losing points over a misclick.

I just don’t need to track my points in order to keep wanting to play. I’ve already been playing (other, much less aesthetically pleasing) color sudoku apps for years.

Ideally would like options to toggle off the points mode, as well as the option turn off individual features such as the timer, immediate notifications for wrong moves, and losing points for wrong moves or hints.

If I’ve made a mistake and get to the end of the puzzle and it’s not a win, I’ll know there’s a mistake. Or, another nice to have feature could be a “check for errors” button.

Other small nitpicky annoyances:

- the hint button is really easy to hit accidentally. I never want hints anyway, but losing points for hitting it makes its current placement extra stressful. Or maybe don’t move it, but add a confirmation check before giving the hint?

- often when I leave the app mid-game, then go back to the app, the app goes back to the home screen and that game is lost. I’ve played other similar apps that never did this, so not sure what the issue is here. (Note, this is just when I move out of the app; I’m not talking about closing the app and trying to go back.)

Anyway, overall I’m still so happy this app exists. Thank you!!

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the detailed feedback!

I took comments like yours to heart while building version 2.0.0, which is now finished and ready to be released.

It includes a new Zen Mode for playing without points, timers, or pressure, plus game resume so you won’t lose your puzzle when leaving the app. I’ve also improved how mistakes and hints work to make the whole experience much more relaxing.

Thanks again for helping me make the app better, I hope you’ll love 2.0.0 and maybe improve the rating!

### 4/5 — Review

I need better instructions I didn’t understand it at first

**Developer response:** Thanks for the honest feedback!

I completely agreed that the app needed clearer instructions, so I’ve redesigned the onboarding and added a much easier-to-follow introduction in version 2.0.0.

The update is already finished and ready to be released.
Your feedback genuinely helped me focus on making the app easier to understand from the very first game.

I hope you’ll give the new version a try!

### 4/5 — Beautiful But Puzzles Repeat

*2026-05-16*

I love this puzzle! It’s peaceful and the haptics are enjoyable. I do the Daily Grid every morning. But I’ve noticed that the puzzles in the Daily Grid repeat from time to time. It’s very frustrating, because mathematically, we should have endless puzzles. When a puzzle repeats, I sometimes do other things to challenge myself, but it’s always a let down when I notice I got a repeat for that day.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback, and for making Daily Grid part of your morning routine.

You were absolutely right: the Daily Grid puzzles were repeating more often than they should. I’ve now replaced the old generation system with a much stronger one, so each day now gets a fresh shared puzzle and repeats should no longer happen.

Really appreciate you pointing this out. It helped make Hue9 better.

### 4/5 — Wonderful game

*2026-03-04*

I’ve been enjoying this game since it released. It’s a fun take on sudoku and the interface is really beautiful. The daily challenge can be devilish but doable.

The only negatives I can think of are (a) some of the colors are very close - this is on ALL the different color schemes - and (b) I wish there was a button to pause play so I could resume a game later.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for playing Hue9: Color Sudoku since launch. I’m really glad you’re enjoying the fun take on sudoku, the beautiful interface, and the daily challenges.

I also appreciate your feedback. I hear you on the color contrast—some shades can be close across every color scheme. Your suggestion will help me prioritize improvements. And I’m glad you mentioned pausing; a resume option is a great idea, and I’ll pass it along to the team.

Thanks again for your support and for taking the time to share your thoughts.
