My nephew who is 8 loves it. It is really fun for him to get things for his hue pet. I don’t like that he gets rewarded for scanning things that aren’t healthy. My kids loved this app for about 10 minutes and haven’t wanted it much since then. But my 12 year old found that it could scan anything of that color & get coins to get items for the pets, which defeats the entire purpose. The app is very basic in the functions and lacks some thought in navigating and how to continue to educate children. My kids lost interest. Some ideas for improvement would be to provide recommendations of foods within the same color wheel or that may taste similarly. When mom recommends eating something healthy they don’t always want to listen. But if they can feed a fun monster pet while making healthy choices and earn fun accessories they are all in. The only reason I rated it 4 stars was my kids started to loose interest when the monster wasn’t progressing fast enough.
