Super user friendly and even includes tutorials of how to use the different features. My favorite feature is the money pots, as I have attended a course before which asked us to use physical money pots which I have not gotten around to doing so. I just downloaded the app and was able to very quickly understand what are the different features in Hugosave (the pots, roundup etc). Its interface is user friendly and easy to pick up on! The money pot is easy to use and works like a digital piggy bank, making sure you make your monthly savings to ensure you meet your saving goals w/o overspending :) However I would appreciate if the app can stop asking me enter my pin each time I minimize out to other phone apps(I.e WhatsApp) that are less than 30s, maybe if I did not return to the app in 2mins, then the safety feature of entering the pin again would be nice. That’s when I came across HugoSave and a feature that stood out to me was Money Pots which transformed how I saved. Prior to this, my savings were all lumped into an account. But with Money Pots, I could then separate pots for each of my goals such as retirement, kids education, medical, etc. One thing I really appreciate is the flexibility to adjust contributions to each pot whenever my priority shifts. This level of control has given me peace of mind, knowing that my money is always working towards what matters most to me. I would recommend HugoSave to anyone looking for a user-friendly solution for their financial goals. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 3/5 — Difficulty in changing phone number *2024-03-31, version 2.1.101* app is great however i feel like the need to change number should be easier as my previous number has been cancelled and it was hard for me to contact the people in charge to get back to me asap through email as i could not find any contact numbers. now, i need to wait. likewise, my friend faced the same issue and had to wait four days to get his number changed and his money is still inside his hugo save account. i find this such a tedious process, hope u can solve it 👍🏽 ### 3/5 — Can do better *2023-01-20, version 1.2.82* Roundups can be done better. We should be able to choose how many X we want to roundup.. good example is revolut, every spending we can choose to roundup by x1 all the way to x10. Maybe u guys can do that. Then maybe i will use often. Or other people as well. Maybe can add exchange rate as well, so when people use usd to pay there wont be any issues. Currently using revolut, because of the system down.. i find revolut better, but no investment.. if u had some ideas from there maybe, just maybe everyone else might use this app. Just saying ### 4/5 — Great for budgeting and saving money! *2024-09-11, version 2.1.157* I think this app is great if you want to get started with budgeting, especially if you want to get out of debt or are saving for a big ticket item. The fact that it’s debit based means you will only spend dollars that you have (no credit cards that you pay the following month). It’s great for people who have difficulty tracking their credit card spending and paying off their credit card in full. Bonus that the app design is so cute. I love the Money Pot Feature for this purpose because you can assign a specific savings goal for your pots. I also love the round up function where it rounds up all your purchase. Round numbers are so much easier to rmbr/track when budgeting and it’s always a nice surprise when you realise your actual spend is a little less than you thought because of the rounding. Minus 1 star as I feel like log in is a bit slow. Sometimes I don’t received the SMS OTP to get into my account or it takes me a few tries before I can log in. It’s really annoying. However, it's worth noting that deposits aren't covered by SDIC in Singapore, which might be a concern for some users. Realised they have updated their UI and it’s a lot cleaner. Love the investment personality quiz as it helps me identify my risk appetite and the app gamifies investing such that it is easier to learn more about it. I didn’t give full 5 stars because I think I have yet to fully try out all the features of the app to give a full review on it. I really love the features, especially the Money pots that really motivates me in saving money for something that I like and having the roundup feature that could go to Gold vault every week. However, one that I noticed recently since the new update is that the UI itself is a little messed up. For me is mainly the font size itself because they aren’t the same sizes. I’ve seen small words (e.g. the spending activity section) and the others are big (e.g. the “add to note” field) so you might want to fix and standardise the size of the font that could be easily readable to users. Before the update, the font size was okay, just that it suddenly messed up the font size after the update. I do appreciate this feedback. :) Aside from that, the rest are okay with it.
