Constantly freezing and crashing despite all the usual fixes. Also, very challenging and unintuitive interface to recommend people in the first place - only suggests random contacts and won't let you search or choose specifically. I really hope they can fix these major issues so the empowerment and quality mission can come to life! ### 1/5 — Too glitchy to use! *2025-02-10, version 2.99.1* I can’t even get past the “better guys quiz” at start up because the quiz doesn’t load/exist. It’s just a pop up that can’t be dismissed. Pretty sure this is just a scam to gain access to your contact list. No actual functionality. Okay, years later I got past that screen, and the next issue is that there’s almost no one on this app. That’s a natural result of the unappealing design, lack of any functionality, and general low quality. 😬 I’m also not convinced endorsements by the opposite sex should be a requirement to date… ### 2/5 — Bots *2025-02-03, version 2.99.1* The premise is great, and the constant updates are nice, but I’m finding a LOT of bots on the app. It’s a shame I went through so much verification just to encounter fake people. ### 1/5 — Can’t move past the pictures page *2025-01-28, version 2.99.1* I have been trying to make an account, starting about a week ago. I couldn’t get past the page to add pictures, so gave it a rest. Today I updated the app and attempted to upload pictures again, but once again it will not upload them or let me move past that page ### 1/5 — Disappointed in customer support *2025-01-13, version 2.98.9* I haven’t even been able to access the app due to the photos screen not going through, no matter how many times I pressed next. At first, I was very patient with customer support since I understand they’re doing so much at once. However, it shouldn’t take two weeks to access a single app. Especially since they asked me for my number to try and figure the situation out and never responded to me since. I’ve tried reaching back out to them and they haven’t responded. I will be deleting this app unless if I miraculously get help. It’s very frustrating and I really don’t want to be rude, but I hate that they couldn’t transfer me to someone else or something. This app isn’t ready for dating world. I would not recommend this app. Also, you can’t write anything in their community board without it being taken down. They are not ready for anything. ### 2/5 — They have a long way to go *2024-12-02, version 2.98.7* This app does not seem to have enough users to really make it worth it. It does not follow search requests, it asks for your preferences and then literally applies NONE of them. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and it said only two male users in the whole Bay Area? It is also far from being strategically thought out when it comes to user interface and ease of usability. I also don’t appreciate that they don’t offer a free trial or a refund when they don’t provide any matches because there are none in your area. Total scammy ### 2/5 — Already Having Issues and I’ve just Downloaded It *2024-12-01, version 2.98.7* I’m trying to make a profile for myself and it won’t let me slide the bar over to move past that phased. There is no one within 100 miles of me and that’s fine. I’m not opposed to distance, however, the men I’m shown are no where near my listed preferences. Whats the point of settings if the app doesn’t follow them? Also, men who like me are 15 years younger than me and there is no way to X them out without reporting or blocking. I’m also shown the same men five times in cycles, there are too many glitches ### 3/5 — Hoping to give a chance in the future *2024-11-26, version 2.98.7* Love the marketing and overall foundation of what this dating app stands for. It’s a fairly new app, and being in the tech field myself, bugs are expected to happen! Even on IG we face glitches — no big whoop. The sad thing is, I can’t even use the app at all. It crashes, freezes, won’t let me pick photos and the list goes on. Overall, this is such a stellar idea, and I love seeing us women come together to support a Woman Owned Business! I’ll prioritize my patience and look forward to a future where I can hopefully use the app for its intended use. ### 3/5 — Has potential, but not for all *2024-11-02, version 2.98.5* While I do love the concept of “vetting” available people by friends who know them well, this app seems incredibly limited when it comes to who can benefit from the app. There aren’t a lot of users available within 50-100 miles, but more importantly, there’s no option for users who may be gay, lesbian, bisexual, etc. We aren’t able to adjust the preferences to show women for women and men for men or even people who are interested in everyone! Like, obviously fake accounts. And now the fake accounts are getting “verified” somehow. Don’t spend money on this app until it is actually useful. ### 1/5 — 99.99% Fake profiles *2024-09-30, version 2.98.3* I spent a good amount of time on this app. After being verified by a friend of mine, I was excited thinking this app would bring lots of new opportunities. I’ve had success on other mainstream dating apps however, this one I’ve never had a single match. Every profile you go through is completely fake. Like all of them are fake profiles. I wonder if there’s any real genuine women on here. They also do the typical: You have a like, but you have to pay to see the likes. Which gives me the impression those “likes” are fake. After scrolling through hundreds and hundreds of profiles of nothing but fake profiles, I gave up on this app. You can see what I mean when you start scrolling through there isn’t a single real genuine woman that I have come across. ### 3/5 — Only Potential *2024-08-19, version 2.97* What an amazing idea and I like the simple setup with free space for your bio. It’s great that you have to write a message to like someone and matches expire unless you keep the convo going, simple solutions to a big issue on dating apps. The hype people idea is awesome! However, literally nothing on this app works. The people that liked my profile weren’t showing up unless I liked them back on the feed. I tried to use the video function with someone and it didn’t work whatsoever. Pictures come in sideways, all the people on my feed are out of my preference zone, I somehow endorsed an old colleague without knowing it (awkward and yikes!). I want to root for this which is why I waited to see if the new update made big changes, but they were minor. Being a new dating app I don’t expect a ton of people on it, but since the app doesn’t have basic functionality, it’s hard to see how anyone would stay on it either. There’s no point to this app at the moment. But recently I got banned cuz I called out the scamming profiles and the fake profiles. I showed the CEO and the Customer Support team everything. They banned me because the community board they have on the app, you can’t write anything without being taken down. JUST LIKE THIS COMMENT! They will take down any comment if you don’t give it a 5 star review. This is the 3rd one so far I had to make. Good luck on trying to contact someone, they won’t respond to you at all! ### 1/5 — Fake users/Terrible support *2025-05-23, version 2.99.7* The social Media platform team for the app have blocked me through multiple platforms after asking why my account got banned and not a single response nor email. The app is a scam anyway. So many fake profiles on there and they don’t do anything about it. It’s so bad that even if you are verified and or paying for the subscription it won’t do you any good. I recommend Duet for anyone who wants real and verified profiles. The tech support is faster and will respond. For women, it it should help weed out all the bad apples, freeing up a lot of the guess work that would normally be involved. I think this is an amazing idea, and I’m honestly a little bummed this never got off the ground sooner. Even still, I hope to see this app spread and to see more people using it, because as it stands right now, I honestly can’t find anybody who uses this app in my immediate area -or even my same state for that matter, and I’m in a bigger city area with my distance settings tuned to within 50 miles of myself! Overall, I will keep this app installed for the meantime, and I will do what I can to promote it -albeit in the vastly limited- ways that I can. ### 5/5 — Barely started using it *2024-06-18, version 2.86* This will not be a reliable review simply because I just started using the app, but they asked for a review already. But here is my objective take so far: 1. It’s a great concept. I love the verifying aspect of the app, the fact that you can have people vouch for you gives you the ability to only seek out quality prospective dates, so mostly if not only quality women and men will be available on the app. 2. The downside: the app is still relatively new, it hasn’t gained massive momentum quite yet, so there’s a limited amount of people on it. Another con: the app has a few minor glitches with simple things (type-o’s, buttons not working properly, etc.) Summary: I am hopeful for the apps future, of the owner sticks with it, and off people give it enough of a chance for it to build solid momentum, it can become a great app, if not the best dating app 🙌🏽 hopefully that happens sooner rather than later.
