Cancelled !!! ### 2/5 — Not Compatible With iPhone New Call Screening *2025-12-19* To use the Hullo voicemail service, Live Voicemail has to be disabled. However, if you disable Live Voicemail, iOS also disables Apple’s new call screening feature, which depends on Live Voicemail being switched on. This creates a direct conflict. You cannot use Hullo voicemail and Apple call screening at the same time. Ideally, calls should be screened first, then routed to one of the custom Hullo voicemail messages if unanswered. Until the app is updated to work alongside Apple’s voicemail and call screening features, this significantly limits usability on iPhone. **Developer response:** Hi Oaksey, thanks for your review. Regarding voicemail lengths, LITE subscribers get 2 mins, if you need more please consider the PRO plan which has 5 mins voicemail length. And thanks for your suggestion about uploading your own greetings, the part about 'choose from several provided greetings', we do allow recording/saving multiple greetings and user can choose them to be assigned whenever, so not sure if this is what you meant? I think the pricing is high for what you get bearing in mind some of us are using this for personal use. The ability to upload a voice recording would be helpful, too. ### 2/5 — No longer works since updating to new IPhone ! *2024-01-26, version 5.6.0* No longer works since I have updated my phone. Each time I try to activate voice mail it displays a list of error messages and fails ! It was very good. Here’s what they won’t tell you: THE DEACTIVATE NUMBER DOES NOT WORK. I contacted Hullomail support and they just shrugged their shoulders and said it wasn’t their problem and told me not to contact them again. So my choices are: 1, stay subscribed to Hullomail. 2, have no voicemail. I need voicemail on my phone for my work so I have been stuck, forced to stay subscribed for YEARS, throughout price increases, since they are holding my phones ability to take voicemails to ransom. Here it is again if you missed it: HULLOMAIL WILL NOT LET YOU UNSUBSCRIBE. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM OR YOU WILL BE STUCK WITH THEM FOREVER. ### 1/5 — Does not work. Subscription stopped *2024-02-27, version 5.6.0* On a Lite subscription. Messages go straight to voicemail. Every now and again one will go to the app for reasons that I cannot understand. Quite frustrating given that the cost of the subscription has quadrupled last year. This is the final straw for me. Please could this be looked at as I’ve been a subscriber for years and it’s so disappointing to lose Hullomail. This now my 2nd year using the paid pro version. Highly recommend! ### 5/5 — Works really well *2024-09-13* I have been using Hullomail for several years and it makes my life so much easier! For me the most important part is that I get my voicemails in my email inbox so I don’t forget to deal with them. Missed calls notification is a welcome bonus. Love the option to record and store several greetings with their heading, which I can then so easily (visually) select either as a main greeting or as a greeting for individual callers. Most importantly, it has always worked for me brilliantly with GiffGaff / O2 in UK and as long as your operator allows diverting voicemail to custom number, it will for you too. It can be a bit of hit and miss when roaming - not because of the product but because the roaming operators sometimes don’t allow redirecting voicemail to custom numbers. I would then either set a do not disturb redirect to Hullomail before going or temporarily revert to my operator’s default voicemail number. Set it up in 2 minutes - tested and it works. Hallelujah!! I get a high volume of business calls which I can’t always pick up so this is going to make a massive difference. ### 5/5 — Excellent visual voicemail and spam call guard *2023-06-28* I’ve used Hullomail for many years. It has been very reliable and convenient compared to the minimal voicemail available on three. The one time I had a problem support by email responded quickly and were helpful. As I have two work phones and a personal mobile, I send all my voicemail to one inbox accessible from the app on all three phones. Awesome. I get copies by email so I can easily forward a message to someone else. Got a message from school about your child you want to send to your partner? Done. Got a message from work for a different team, forward it on, done. Well worth the price for the functionality. I’ve often complained about the ‘built in’ voicemail from my phone network and knew what I wanted. Who’d have thought I’d have found exactly that on the App Store? If you’re tempted, use the trial, try out this epic service and then be prepared to hand them a small amount of cash for what is a brilliant product. Design of the app itself is good. Subscription price ok. Customer support excellent too - I had some set-up issues when changing network provider and porting a number over, which HulloMail support sorted out swiftly and easily. ### 5/5 — Used to be 5 star, now bugged *2023-05-23* On an original iphone se running ios 15.7.5. The transcribed messages no longer scroll properly, they just always snap back to the top as soon as I take my finger off. Infuriating. Plus every time I exit a message I get spammed with the same annoying dialog asking me to turn on background app refresh. No, I don’t need to, nor want to, nor ever will, so kindly &@£* off please.
