Turns out it won’t play unless it can connect to the internet even though it shows it downloaded on my phone. Then when it is connected, it plays from the very slow stream instead of the download. I was surprised to find that the Switch 2 launched without any streaming apps. On the original Switch we had Hulu and YouTube, and many of us used the console as our go-to device to watch movies docked or in handheld mode. Now is the perfect time for Hulu to be on Switch 2: 1. The audience is there. With The Super Mario Galaxy Movie breaking records in theaters and Nintendo launching major titles like the new Star Fox remake on June 25th and Super Mario Galaxy remakes in October, millions of fans are on Switch 2 daily. We want to watch movies and shows on the same device we game on. 2. The hardware is ready. The Switch 2 has a Full HD, HDR 8-inch screen built for movies. It is a portable theater. 3. The community is waiting. Games like Tears of the Kingdom have created a massive community of creators who live on streaming platforms to share their work. We need our streaming library on the console where we play and create. I personally prefer watching movies on my Switch 2 console, and I know I'm not alone. The community has been very vocal about this missing feature. Please work with Nintendo to bring Hulu to Switch 2 as soon as possible. You have a huge audience waiting to stream on day one.
