## What is Human Presence Protocol (HPP)?

Human Presence Protocol (HPP) proves a real human is present — not a bot, not a deepfake farm, not a script.

HPP binds presence to you with on-device biometrics and the Secure Enclave. You earn Presence Credits (shown as Presence Credits/Minutes) with pulse Face ID check-ins. You spend them to unlock sites and actions that need a living person. Your bank can hold up to a day of time. Credits aren’t a currency you buy or transfer — they’re spendable proof you showed up.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Create a hardware-bound presence identity on your iPhone
• Earn minutes with Face ID check-ins
• Scan a site QR to unlock human-only experiences
• See presence confirmations and recent activity
• Keep personal biometrics on device — no personal data transmitted for presence

WHY IT MATTERS
Bots and synthetic identities are flooding digital systems. HPP is built so software can ask a simple question: is a real human here, right now? Proof stays cryptographic. Presence stays yours.

GOOD TO KNOW
• Free to download
• Face ID required for earn and unlock flows
• Works with Human Presence Protocol verifiers and site offers
• Patent pending

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.2 — 2026-09-29

Setup no longer asks for an ID. Age verification is optional: set it up from the Age Verified tile, or when a site asks for it.

A new live license scanner reads the front of your license or the barcode on the back, with no tapping needed.

Presence Credit costs now match what each site or app charges, and the app always shows the amount before you confirm.

New "Why not a CAPTCHA?" comparison in Stop Bots.

Stronger protection: only Face ID or Touch ID can earn or spend credits.

Clearer, more accurate explanations throughout the app.

### 1.1 — 2026-08-15
