## What is Humana Cam?

THumana is a photography network where every photo carries its provenance.

Photos are taken with the app's camera. When a photo is published, Humana signs the file with C2PA, the open provenance standard, and an external timestamping authority records that the file existed at that moment. Starting with this version, each capture is also linked to a proof generated by the Humana app on your iPhone.

Every photo has a public verification page. Tap the lock on any photo to see what Humana can show about it: the signature, the file's integrity, the timestamp and the capture proof, when present.

Provenance describes the file and how it got here. It doesn't say who appears in the photo or certify what happened in the scene.

THE CAMERA
A camera made for photographing, not retouching. What you shoot is what gets published: no gallery imports, no filters and no AI editing.

THE VAULT
Save your captures to publish later. They stay on your phone, with their proof, until you decide what to share.

THE FEED
Following shows photos from the people you follow. Everyone shows the rest of Humana. No public like counts and no algorithm deciding what you see.

EXPLORE
Themed rooms, places and people, to browse photography like an archive.

SHARING
Share your photos as photos on Instagram, X, WhatsApp and Messages, with a link to their verification page.

PRIVACY
A photo's public location shows only the city. Humana has no ads and doesn't sell your data.

Humana is free and available for iPhone.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4 — 2026-10-08

A more refined, faster version.

— Sharing a photo sends it as a photo: to Instagram, including directly to Stories, to X, to WhatsApp and to Messages.
— A more precise camera and a new review screen.
— Photos you take are linked to a proof generated by the Humana app on your iPhone. Tap the lock on any photo to see what Humana can show about it.
— Your photos' public location shows only the city.
— Refined design details throughout the app.

### 1.3 — 2026-10-02

Sharing fixes:

— The share card now shows the fingerprint of the signed file, the same one listed on its verification page.
— Links shared via WhatsApp open with a single tap again.
— The app now states what the signature attests: the file's origin. The signer's identity is verified within Humana.

### 1.2 — 2026-09-24

Notifications. You'll now be notified when someone likes one of your captures, comments on it, replies to your comment, or starts following you, with a thumbnail of the capture. Tapping the notification takes you straight to it.

We strengthened the protection of certification data: once signed, a capture and its proof of provenance can no longer be modified.

Minor fixes and stability improvements.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-22

Humana now speaks English: the app follows your iPhone's language.

Also in this version:
- A new beginning: see why you can't tell by looking anymore.
- Archive rooms now read like a gallery.
- Every tag in view when you post, plus twelve new ones.
- Post, always within reach: the button stays at the top right.
- The keyboard closes when you tap outside a field.
- Follow back straight from a new follower notification.
- From a like notification, see who liked your capture.
- Fixes and stability improvements.
