Abandoned by developers just like the associated box. I’ll never buy anything from humax again.

The Humax Aura mobile app has a critical UI rendering bug on the 'Downloads' section.

When viewing downloads, the app locks the screen into portrait mode and ignores the mobile device's system auto-rotate settings. Because it fails to scale, the 'three dots' options menu renders inside an dead zone at the edge of the screen, making it completely unresponsive to touch gestures.

Furthermore, playing a downloaded file forces it into a small portrait preview window. The user is forced to manually tap the hidden 'square frame' HUD icon to trigger full screen, which shouldn't be necessary on a modern video playback app. Please update the app's framework to properly respect native iOS and Android display scaling and rotation sensors.

The major selling point of this product is focussed on the interface through the app. Which is shockingly abysmal. 
IF the app loads the TV guide an immediate problem is identified through the close button being the same colour as the programme you are viewing in app. 
The hardware is outstanding. The software is wholly inadequate

The app is no longer updating and the tv guide won’t load. App is now redundant. I have uninstalled and re-downloaded, signed out and in multiple times and also disconnected and reconnected my box to no avail. Very disappointing as now have to use the TV directly to record.
