### 2/5 — Worked well for a while but now not opening at all

*2023-11-22, version 2.0.5*

I use this app to monitor all my instruments and it’s suddenly gone buggy. It won’t open at all. Really hoping for a quick fix!

### 2/5 — No longer works - hasn’t had a update in over 3 years

*2023-11-11, version 2.0.5*

Apparently this app has been abandoned. The app quit working 5 months ago and there hasn’t been an update in over 3 years.

### 3/5 — Going end of support?

*2023-05-27, version 2.0.5*

I've heard there trackers will stop being sold and the app is end of support.

It would be pretty sweet if Bluesteam made the app Open Source so the community could maintain it.

### 3/5 — phasing out?

*2023-03-20, version 2.0.5*

it's a shame that D'Addario is chosen to abandon the concept. No update for 2 years and they are in the process of stopping the sale of devices

### 4/5 — Needs a widget but still good tool

*2022-11-30, version 2.0.5*

This is a pretty handy tool for helping to monitor what's going on inside the case. Could use a widget for quick reference but otherwise so far so good.

### 4/5 — Good App

*2022-11-19*

I love the app. But I wish updates would be installed when needed. Battery life does not register accurately. This has been an issue for a long as I’ve used the app which is several years.

### 2/5 — Hard to see

*2022-11-12, version 2.0.5*

Lots of space in this app has been wasted . It could be designe much better with a bold fonts. Its hard to see.

### 2/5 — When it works…….

*2022-11-01, version 2.0.5*

It started out OK. I was getting readings and app was set to send notifications. I’m careful about my temp and humidity in my home so I wasn’t concerned when I didn’t get warnings. Then one day I decided to check the app. Out of 5 sensors, two hadn’t updated for three months and the other three hadn’t updated for 1 month. The battery levels are OK.
I tried to reset them to factory settings, nothing. I deleted one sensor and tried to pair it again. It can’t decide if it can find the sensor or not. One time, it couldn’t find the sensor. The next try it says it found the sensor but can’t connect although the Bluetooth settings in my phone says it’s connected, then it’s not.
Notified the errors through the app but no response in over a week. Great customer service. I tried loading the app to my iPad. I got the same results as my phone when trying to pair the sensors again.
I did get a notification on the iPad that there is a big update coming soon. I sure hope so cuz the sensors cost enough for what they are. It would be nice if they actually worked.

### 2/5 — Worked ok for years now just died.

*2022-08-21, version 2.0.5*

So I used this app for years to track 3 guitars. Round May of 2022 it just stopped working. I put new batteries in, tried to re-pair sensors, deleted the app (and my history), still nothing. Won’t pair anymore. Sigh. Even the report feedback button doesn’t work (won’t send mail). Pretty much I’m sure the app needs a good iOS refresh.

### 4/5 — Quits working intermittently

*2022-02-02, version 2.0.5*

I have this a 4 star cause when it works it’s great. It really deserves 2 stars(sorry). It’s a dry winter and I woke up this morning with the app reading 65% humidity. This was crazy. I removed and put the battery back in, which has worked on other occasions. Not today. Deleted and reinstalled the app. Humidity now reading a more appropriate 40%. I’m finding I have to trouble shoot this a couple times a week. I don’t like it but will keep doing it.

### 2/5 — Crappola soft/firmware

*2022-01-31, version 2.0.5*

Have had it a year & 1/2 after multiple attempts had gotten it to work…. and when it DOES…. It’s a great thing…. But of late it’s a brick…. Cust support is a joke… Amateur hour as far as software is concerned … Mar 15 reviewer is pretty much right on… battery is fine deleted and re-linked multiple times…. ATTEMPTED to re link….. we’ll call it 3 out of 8 ….. and it is not reading… Perfect concept and IT SHOULD WORK PERFECTLY It’s beginning to look as though this was a clever tool to build a database of users that meet their demographic marketing criteria and which is worth $$$ in today’s “your are just a number to us” world ….to have the kind of granular specificity they duplicitously solicit has got to be quite unique AND VALUABLE….brand model value serial # ….. email….. Yeah…. Best to keep your OWN records.

UPDATE: I contacted D’Addario someone called me back a day later….who put me in contact w/bluestream (?) s/w developer guy… he was able to trouble shoot my device (which THEY SHOULD TELL YOU HOW TO DO BY YOURSELF in the lame instructions !) and said mine was shot….a new unit should be sent to replace failed one… I called D’Addario back…very nice.. said new unit was on the way… it’s now Aug 22….. and I got NOTHING….. FWIW….All of this transpired in July…..developer comment was long after our interaction.

UPDATE 2.0 1/31/22
Once I became a “squeaky wheel” as mentioned above, I was “in the loop” and the Bluestream people were trying to make things right….
There seems to be a disconnect between D’Addario and Bluestream …or at least a lack of communications.

BUT….Please note…. ONCE I FINALLY MADE CONTACT …. EVERYONE on BOTH SIDES seemed intent and sincere in their efforts to fix my problem and do the right thing.

My replacement sensor was sent( don’t know which party) but apparently not tracked properly thus it was “lost”….
Once evident that the ball had been dropped another unit was sent by I’m assuming, the guy on D’Addario’s answering machine.
…. the 2nd one got here…. & then the original showed up days later…..
So it was WAY TOO LONG before I got it…. But I got it.

As for the “system” it’s a great tool/idea that is great when it works… though I’d say still buggy not a true “set and forget” solution as my ALERTS seem to be inconsistent to non existent re: high/low warnings and recently low battery warning with my preferences for such turned on (iPhone 10xmax iOS 14.8.1)

But overall I’d buy again if I need to….

### 3/5 — no Russian language

*2021-10-07*

make a menu in Russian

### 2/5 — Needs an overhaul

*2021-03-12, version 2.0.5*

When it works, it’s just okay. In theory this device has serious potential. However the firmware and app need serious overhaul and upgrade. I’m using an iPhone 11 and the Bluetooth is sluggish and slow to respond. For some reason I never get alerts pushed to my phone from this device. I’ve spent a lot of money for a device that works 40% of the time.

Yes I’ve changed my batteries and yes I’ve ran all of the updates.

I would recommend more streamlined and improved communication between app and device. Faster humidity updates and push notifications need to be addressed. I would like to use the system on all of my instruments but until the device is improved and stable I’m not wasting anymore money.

### 1/5 — Nice idea but it has a long way to go

*2021-01-16, version 2.0.5*

I received this as a Christmas gift this year and just tried it today. It reads 57% sitting right beside my calibrated hygrometer that is reading 37% with the heat on in the house set at 74 deg. F. Outside humidity is currently at 59%.
Earlier this morning I placed the Humiditrak in the guitar case and it read 64%! Seriously? I give it one star just for a great idea.
Next step is contacting the retailer to try and get my money refunded.

UPDATE: on 1-4-21 someone from the company contacted me after seeing my review. They offered to send me a new unit instead of me returning the other one. To date,1-16-21 I haven’t heard another word from Humiditrak. No email response to my agreement to accept another unit, nothing. The retailer is reluctant to refund my money, so there it is. Save your money folks, this product and its developers are not worth the hassle.

### 1/5 — It used to work

*2020-08-09, version 2.0.5*

Not any more. This system had a great deal of promise. I bought sensors for all three of my guitars. Everything worked for a year or so. But now nothing seems to work. I’m planning to trash it all and go to some other system.

### 4/5 — What a Terrible app UPDATE

*2020-03-09, version 1.4.9*

Update March 9/2020. I received a response from support a few days after writing the review below. There was an issue with server. App is now working. Kudos to their support team for reaching out. I have updated the star rating.

I never write reviews but this app is the worst one I have used. I am about to abandon this app and the sensors that I paid good money on. Now I am unable to log in ( even though I am using the same email and password that I initially used for setup) or even request a new password. And there doesn’t seem to be a way to reset everything. And start again. Deleting and reinstalling app does not work. If there is a way to do this it is poorly publicized. When I attempt to request a new password even, I get a lame error message saying email failed. If I did not own two of there I would not care but this seems like a 100$ down the drain to me. I have emailed support but did not get any response. Maybe someone will see this and reach out. I hope so.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Never works

*2023-03-10, version 2.0.5*

I doesn’t work. I used to for a hot minute but then it just wouldn’t update. Somehow, it now even disappeared from list of instruments and when I tried to add it again with new battery, it couldn’t detect it. Piece of junk I wish I never wasted money on.

### 1/5 — Great idea …….but…….

*2023-02-17, version 2.0.5*

I’ve owned three of these units for a number of years. They just don’t seem to work very well. Sometimes they work but most times they don’t. It’s unclear if it’s the unit itself or the app. Most of the time they fail to give readings in a reasonable timeframe. They also don’t push warnings when they should. The app has a link to contact support but that doesn’t seem to work anymore. Just purchased a SensorPush unit. Out of the box it worked immediately. The app seems a little more relevant and provides readings nearly instantaneously. Don’t waste your money on a Humiditrak.

### 1/5 — Besoin d’une grosse mise à jour

*2023-01-04*

### 1/5 — What a waste

*2022-06-30, version 2.0.5*

This app (and tool) are so buggy. Unfortunately, it promises more than it can deliver. Great idea. Horrible execution. Bluetooth connection is at best intermittent and readings are just not reliable.

### 1/5 — Can’t input any settings

*2021-09-09, version 2.0.5*

I can’t set the alert thresholds or even the brand of my guitar. The pick list box pops up, but it has no options in it - it is just a blank box! This flaw devalues the app significantly.

And I see that my review isn’t getting posted to the App Store!

### 1/5 — The Humiditrak app is pathetic!!!

*2021-07-20, version 2.0.5*

OK, I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max. Great smartphone! However, I wish I still had my iPhone 7 so that I can use this seriously outdated Humiditrak app.

This app is completely broken!!!
Today is 7/20/21. And I am deeply disheartened / disappointed with this so-called “functional” app, e.g., the app won’t let me update most of its settings; for instance, it won’t let me update my “PURCHASE DATE” field within the “Details” section (using its built-in “Add Date” function!!! Moreover, it won’t even let me update any of the Temperate or Humidity Min or Max values, etc.

Anyway, my plan is to RETURN this Humiditrak Bluetooth device to the store for a REFUND. Jeez, I’m so glad I decided to purchase the Humiditrak separately from the Humidipak, which I will continue to use because it’s such a great two-way guitar humidification system, especially for my very expensive solid-mahogany wood guitar.

The only thing that I will do differently is to place a regular Hygrometer inside my guitar case instead of the Humiditrak Bluetooth device.

### 1/5 — Nice when it works

*2021-07-05, version 2.0.5*

The app fails to update or send notifications when temperature is high and humidity is low. It has not logged any humidity or temperature readings for the past 2 months

### 1/5 — It doesn't work

*2021-05-31*

App doesn't work properly, it keeps crashing all the time

**Developer response:** Hi, I am sorry to hear you are seeing a crash. Please reach out to our support team at support@blustream.io and we would be happy to help troubleshoot any issues and make sure you are up and running smoothly and crash-free!

### 1/5 — Connectivity issues

*2021-02-26, version 2.0.5*

Just bought this app, it connects fine initially but after the first hour I cannot connect unless I power cycle the battery. Frustratingly it gives me false data for the time I’m not connected, it says my room is at 23C all day even though I set the thermostat to 18C while I’m at work .

### 1/5 — The app is even worse than the decice

*2021-01-24, version 2.0.5*

Don’t leave the app running in the background because it will eat your fully charged phone battery in less than 12 hours. And this is on a 2 month old iPhone 12. The device (I have 4) batteries are supposed to last a year. They will eat up a battery in 3 months. Never buying anything they make again.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Good App

*2025-06-26, version 2.0.5*

I love the app. But I wish updates would be installed when needed. Battery life does not register accurately. This has been an issue for a long as I’ve used the app which is several years.
UPDATE FROM LAST REVIEW: I don’t know what changed; but beginning a couple of weeks ago this app has the current information on my guitars as soon as the app is opened. In the past I had to wait a little while to see the current readings. Battery level still not accurate; but I can live with that. Overall this is a great app for monitoring the humidity and temperature inside my guitar cases.

### 5/5 — Good app, good support

*2021-10-19, version 2.0.5*

Good experiences managing humidity on my guitars with this app and the Daddario humidikit system. Good support too (when I wanted to update the app and had lost my password).

### 5/5 — Be patient.

*2021-07-17, version 2.0.5*

I learned that being patient is key. I was expecting an immediate jump in humidity when I placed the packets in my guitar/case. It takes several days for the guitar AND case to get watered down. This is critical as too much too fast will cause the guitar to swell. Slow and steady is the key. I have since purchased several more to ensure my guitars live longer than I do.

### 5/5 — Problem prone app

*2021-02-23, version 2.0.5*

Can not use this app despite the developers promises to upgrade it in a couple of weeks. Nothing for a month and a half in the upgrade.
Changed my review to five stars. Message saying upgrade sensor was an old message. Problem was all four of my sensors had drained batteries despite the fact that I replaced all four with new ones but they were faulty. They drained so fast that even the app showed they were at 80%. App is back working like before. Great product and good tech support.

### 5/5 — Extremely useful!

*2019-12-04, version 1.4.5*

I have a number of instruments and I track the humidity year round with these useful devices. I use a wood stove in the winter and it is very humid in the summer so they really help me keep track of any issues regarding humidity. Well done!!

### 5/5 — Great Way to Monitor My Guitars

*2019-11-21, version 1.4.5*

I have two Humiditraks serving my Martin and Taylor guitars. Each guitar is humidified with two Humidipaks in the soundhole and one under the headstock. Initially, I had a disturbing reading from the units. They were reading differently and I just assumed there was a problem with one unit. I emailed my concerns to the home office and the next day their representative Bob suggested I put both units in the same case and then check the results. He explained that individual cases create different micro climates that can result in different readings. After a couple hours they had similar readings so I knew they functioned correctly.

I returned the units in their respective cases and now each gives a very consistent humidity and temperature for each case. I have the house thermostat set for cooler temperature during the night and I can see that the guitar case cools for that same period however, the humidity stays very consistent. It is nice to know the guitars humidity and temperature and not have to guess. I don’t have to open the case to check or even be in the same room. If my guitars are happy, I’m happy.

### 5/5 — Buon igrometro per custodia

*2019-11-19*

Un buon sistema per tenere sotto controllo la temperatura e l’umidità della chitarra mentre è all’interno della custodia.
Inoltre è facile da usare e impostare.

### 5/5 — Great support!

*2019-11-18, version 1.4.5*

Bob did an awesome job helping me with my problem. This is a very good app to keep and eye on my guitars for humidity in the winter with out having to open the case. I even have one in the room that tracks the humidity in my house. I highly recommend this app!!!

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2019-11-18, version 1.4.5*

I love this app - makes the care of my acoustic guitars simple. I have a sensor in each of my three guitar cases (for winter) as well as one on a music room wall where guitars hang for about 8 months a year. An awesome tool for keeping guitars healthy!!!!

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2019-09-18, version 1.4.5*

Absolutely love this product. Allows me to assure my ax levels are in a safe environment without opening each case. I also use the humidikit. Only complaint is I have a message that’s says “sensor updates in two weeks”. That has read that way for a few months. Where and what is this mysterious update?
