## What is Hunch?

Hunch is your quiet second mind. It does not nag and it does not interrupt — it watches how your days run, learns your patterns and connects what belongs together: the half-forgotten project from last week with the thing you are working on right now. And when the moment is right, it leaves you a hunch that feels like your own thought.

You talk to Hunch however suits you: by chat, by voice, or through your own channels. It connects to your computers and gets real work done when you ask — while keeping everything with you: your memory, your identity and your data stay on your devices. No foreign storage, no mandatory cloud.

### 1.5 — 2026-08-10

Hunch is agent first now, terminal second.

• The terminal lives in the chat: one button top right and you type straight on your machine — including a machine running the Hunch agent, where there was none before.
• Dynamic Island and lock screen show the running step with its phase and duration. The app doesn't need to be open.
• The ID card in your profile can finally be verified — Face ID, Secure Enclave, done.
• A fresh install really starts from zero: old keys no longer linger in the keychain.
• Remote screen access is gone. It never fit the rest.
• Smoother scrolling in the chat.

### 1.4 — 2026-08-08

Hunch listens now, and answers back.

• Voice mode: tap the waveform in chat and just talk. The golden orb shows what is happening, and the activity panel below it runs live.
• One place for everything: Brain, Machines, Channels, Skills and Nodes now live together in the Hunch tab.
• Channels: connect your messengers and reach Hunch from anywhere.
• A guided tour on first launch.
• Calmer microphone, smoother playback, steadier connection.

### 1.2 — 2026-07-25

Hunch now speaks English — the app follows your device language.

The agent can look things up in Brain: earlier conversations, stored facts and open tasks are now searchable instead of guessed.

If a provider goes down, Hunch switches to the next one mid-conversation and tells you — falling back to the on-device model that works without a network.

Tools now carry risk levels: reading goes through, changes ask first. Every action is logged, and a daily limit keeps costs in check.

Codex can be started on a connected computer.
