In fact, it is very difficult to see how it could be much improved here. However, after learning several hundred words, I don’t have enough knowledge to put them into coherent sentences. With its different tenses and word endings, I know Hungarian grammar is difficult, but some basic understanding is necessary to be able to begin to think with the language. I would suggest that this be added to future versions – that is the only reason I did not give a five star review. ### 4/5 — A great help but.... *2020-03-27, version 5.8.0* This is a wonderful tool both for presenting new words and reinforcing them by various repetitive means. My vocabulary has developed exponentially as a result. But apart from introducing basic phrases, there is little here to help with sentence building. I attempted using Duolingo first, but it would just give me nonsense sentences (ie: I hear the black apples), which didn’t do a lot to help me figure out the language. In the 6 weeks I’ve been using this app, I feel I am learning the words better and I am able to start forming sentences. The app also works, which is a big plus. Слова на день. Отличная идея, но почему программа сама выбирает, что мне учить?? Дайте возможность самостоятельного выбора слов 2. Воспроизведение. Почему нельзя задать воспроизведение всех слов из выбранного списка? Программа сама выбирает, или нужно долго и нудно отмечать каждое слово отдельно 3. И куда делись карточки? Это было так удобно. К сожалению, программой в таком виде пользоваться никак не получится. Надеюсь на изменения. Все же не самая дешевая программа. Жаль, что она стала совершенно бесполезной из-за неудобств использования. ### 3/5 — Suddenly developed a glitch *2025-03-30, version 5.9.0* I like this series of apps & have used several when travelling to other countries. This particular one just now went wrong when practising words in the player - instead of just speaking the words, it’s also reciting what sounds like the underlying programming language! Still usable but it’s irritating. Apart from that, these apps are great - the free version covers basic tourist needs, so well done. ### 3/5 — Wrong translation *2020-03-08, version 5.8.0* The concept of the app is good, however I noticed a few mistakes in the translation of certain words. Other than that I feel that I could be a good method of learning ### 3/5 — So far, ok *2018-11-06, version 5.7.1* I need to hear Hungarian repeated several times a day to get it stuck in my head. The best way to do this would be to have a single word or short phrase, maybe 3 times a day, and only when my mini IPad is on or being used The options in Settings should include the above mentioned options. As well as the fast ability to change frequency as many times or as few times a day. ALSO: it would be nice if some dangerous words are taught every once in awhile, same for swear words. Oddly this is very important because if I’m in Hungary it’s important to know I’m in danger. In the late seventies I had foreigners even follow me into toy stores. My phrase was , “Sir, is your immigration card up to date?” Worked like a charm. Thank you for your attention. — M. However some of the subjects in the full version are lacking in many words. The colours subject doesn't even have the word for purple. Many of the words are repeated under many different topics.
