Answer a few questions about your pet, enter the kCalories for your pet's food and get an estimate of the right amount to feed them to maintain their current weight. If your pet is overweight use the Ideal Weight Calculator to determine what your pet should weigh. Ideal weight is calculated using their current weight and the Body Condition Score (BCS) . Hungry Pet includes instructions for determining BCS as well as links to several websites that provide instructions and videos. Hungry Pet uses the same formulae most veterinarians use to calculate pet food requirements and ideal weight. I was only able to add her current weight and the food she’s eating for them to say her weight is ideal and it’s not. ### 1/5 — Not worth the $ *2022-07-20* This application does nothing but tell you how many calories to feed your dog/cat. A couple of minutes searching the web can do that. It doesn’t help keep track of calorie intake if you’re trying to gain or lose weight. Worthless. ### 1/5 — App is waste of money *2021-01-30* This app doesn’t provide anything that you can’t easily look up on the internet for free. It merely tells you how many calories per day your dog or cat needs for their weight, which I already knew. I thought it was a calorie tracker for calculating and tracking your pets calories per day. **Developer response:** Sorry you did not find the app useful. I see your received a refund I hope that helps. ### 3/5 — Raw diet *2021-01-12* This may be good for kibble eaters but still I didn’t find the brands I looked for on it. I generally feed my dog a commercial raw diet and none are listed. Not worth it to me but of course I had no way of knowing in advance. **Developer response:** Sorry I did not include your dog food, however there is an option to enter the kilocalories/cup directly. Your dog food should have the kilocalories somewhere on the bag.
