## What is Hunsrück?

With this app you can orient yourself in and around the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park. You will find the most important points of contact and can go on digitally accompanied tours at various locations at any time.

ORIENTATE WITH THE MAP
On a general map you will find the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park with its most important contact points. Here you can select the three national park gates and three other ranger meeting points to find out more about the locations and select the digital tours that can be experienced on site.

Using a filter function, you can also find all train stations, parking lots and information points around the national park as well as our national park partners where you can eat, drink and stay overnight. Have a look at the other special places, too.

TOURS - DIGITALLY ACCOMPANIED AT ANY TIME 
Here you will find an overview of all digital tours in the entire National Park. The selection of digital tours will be continuously adapted and expanded. Check back regularly and find new tours!

At the start of the tour you will see the tour route and the individual stops in a map overview. You can see your own position via the blue dot, which also moves along with you as you walk the tour. This way you always have an eye on whether you are still on the right track.

IMPORTANT - DOWNLOAD IN ADVANCE!
You should download the tours to your mobile device in advance (via "Download tour"), so that you can experience them in the National Park without a network connection.

ACCESSIBILITY
In the overview you can filter the digital tours according to accessibility. We offer tours for people with hearing, vision and walking impairments as well as tours in simplified language.

AUGMENTED RANGER
Our Augmented Rangers will welcome you at the national park gates and ranger meeting points. Just scan the blue signs and go!

If you reach a tour stop, you will receive a message. After each tour stop you can continue your route.

Die App ist eher eine Multimedia-App und keine Wander-App. Die Routingfunktion ist sehr rudimentär. Man muss selbst herausfinden, wo die Route startet. Vor Ort gibt es keine Hinweise dazu. Die Laufrichtung wird nicht angezeigt und man wird nicht über Abbiegungen informiert. Entfernungen werden nicht angezeigt, so kann man die Zeit bis zur nächsten Station nicht abschätzen. Zoomen und Verschieben der Karte funktionieren nicht wie gewohnt. Zwei-Finger-Zoomen beherrscht die Karte nicht. Die Position in der Karte wird angezeigt, aber die Karte scrollt nicht automatisch weiter. Ansagen beherrscht die App auch nicht, so muss man immer auf das Display schauen. 
Das Scannen der Beacons funktioniert nicht immer. Ca. jedes zweite Beacon konnte nicht erkannt werden. 
Man kann die Route nicht als z.B. GPX-Datei exportieren, um eine richtige Wander-Routing-App zu verwenden.

Auch nach dem 6. Mal des Einführungsvideos, in dem einem ein Parkranger fast arrogant feststellt, dass man die App wohl zum ersten Mal benutzt, war die App nicht zum Laufen zu bringen. Am Sauerbrunnen funktioniert es für uns nicht und fängt an zu nerven.

In dieser App gibt es alle Touren im Nationalpark.

**Developer response:** Die Nationalpark App ist für den Besuch des Gebiets des Nationalparks Hunsrück-Hochwald gedacht und nicht für den gesamten Hunsrück. Sie möchte Besuchern die Möglichkeit bieten, jederzeit eine begleitete Tour mit den Smartphone gehen zu können, wenn gerade keine "echte" Ranger- oder Erlebnistour stattfindet. Die Touren sind aufwändig mit Informationen, Videos, Quizfragen und vielem mehr bestückt. Derzeit gibt es 10 Touren an unterschiedlichen Orten im Nationalpark. Vielleicht testen Sie mal eine Tour!

Die App ist leider für nicht für das iPhone 11 geeignet, nur ein grünes Bild mit dem Logo und das war’s dann🤨 sehr enttäuschend wie hier Steuergelder verschwendet wurden!

**Developer response:** Der grüne Bildschirm erscheint, während im Hintergrund die App geladen wird. Die Erstinstallation kann ein bisschen Zeit in Anspruch nehmen, da die App bei der Installation schon Karten und einige Inhalte vorlädt, damit die App im Nationalpark auch ohne guten Mobilfunk gut nutzbar ist. Vielleicht testen Sie nochmal eine Installation!

Toll gemacht - bin nur verwundert über die teilweise schlechten Bewertungen. Aber leider typisch - da wird kostenfrei eine schöne Sache angeboten, und man hat nichts besseres zu tun als herum zu nörgeln. Peinlich. 
Wir haben damit eine tolle Tour gemacht (die Moor-Strecke) - und das war richtig gut - speziell mit dem digitalen Scout - der sehr schön alles erklärte, Aufforstung, Borkenkäfer, Wildkatzen. 
Mein Tipp - App installieren, in den Nationalpark fahren und die Touren erleben -

App läßt sich nicht komplett laden, damit unbrauchbar!?!?!? App öffnet sich in keiner Weise auf Iphone 11 Plus!
Kann ich absolut nicht empfehlen!

**Developer response:** Die Erstinstallation der App kann etwas Zeit in Anspruch nehmen. Die App bringt in der ersten Version schon viele Inhalte und Karten mit, damit die App dann auf einer Tour im Nationalpark, in dem der Mobilfunk teilweise noch schlecht ist, gut funktioniert.
