More hunting related pins / emojis. Would also be very cool to share your maps and tracks with other users. Have a friend option where you share photos and maps on a live platform would be an awesome addition. ### 4/5 — What’s going on? *2024-07-23, version 2.19.1* I’ve been using Hunt Buddy for years and love it but lately I’ve noticed that they are not updating the information in a timely fashion. The LEH Synopsis and Hunting Regulations are out dated. They always had the Elk Bugle to notify you that the LEH draws were out and that the draw has been made which was a cool feature that we all look forward to hearing. Not sure what’s going on there but we would appreciate it if you updated the information on the APP. ### 3/5 — Be careful *2024-06-24, version 2.19.1* Love how handy the app is but this year they did not put the updated LEH synopsis on the alp and because it says 2023-2024 on top, many people assumed it was current and used those hunt codes. There is now lots of people with hunting trips authorized in areas very far from where the thought they were putting in for! This really makes it hard to trust any info on the app if something so big is missed like this. ### 4/5 — Good Thoughts - Needs Updating *2024-05-08, version 2.19.1* I’ve been using Hunt Buddy for several years and have found some of its features such as tracking very useful. Some things that I think this app needs for improvement is updating symbols for drop points, such as a foot for trail markers, other species maybe moose, sheep, bear etc. I’ve also ran into some serious challenges with confirming what is and isn’t private land. The app may not be completely current as I’ve been told multiple times that BC Assessment is the most recent information to confirm crown/private land and those don’t show the same on this app. ### 3/5 — Don’t buy the maps *2023-09-17, version 2.19* You can’t download satellite for offline, you need to dig a bit before realizing this, and it’s not mentioned in the area where they ask you to purchase. These are vital pieces of information and without them updating I don’t use the app. I feel like I wasted my money buying the extra map package and don’t recommend this app anymore. ### 1/5 — Tracking does not work *2023-10-01* It used to work but now it does not track my location. My friend just downloaded the app and it’s also not working on his phone either. If the nickel and dimes don’t work, I’d pay $5 a year for this. Medium resolution is absolutely fine for exploring and atv’ing new areas. I use this app for elevations and dirt biking trails. It’s literally got everything on it. It shows you public roads, FSR’s, gravel roads, dirt bike trails, man made trails, hiking trails, and all camping spots. It labels everything and it’s extremely easy to navigate. This app even allows you to click on a certain camping spot and see what there is to do there. Whether or not there is a fire ban, or, if the campsite is open/closed. Idk what you can’t do on this app but it isn’t much.
