Most months the app will not work. I was just checking the reviews to try and authenticate it's legitimacy first as a reference before I hit pay it's so outdated. It's so outdated, I actually felt unsafe and hesitated to send my personal information first. ### 1/5 — Copy paste doesn’t work *2021-01-19* To change password you’re sent a convoluted impossibly long password. You cannot copy it from email and paste it in old password field. This app has not been updated in years. ### 1/5 — Pretty Bad *2021-01-13* This app acts like it was written in an app generator then nobody went back and actually tested functions. The usage plot can be coaxed into daily mode but then can’t set the time period, stuck on current week. Nothing seems to be tested on iPhone or iPad sized screen. Says one can view hourly consumption but plot doesn’t change. Get into tabulated data and there is no exit but to kill the app and restart. Spectacularly bad and embarrassing for Huntsville. ### 1/5 — App is useless *2020-12-23, version 1.6* I put in the correct information and it says it’s not correct. I couldn’t even create an account. I put in the exact information that was on the bill. Doesn’t have Face ID option nor does it store username or pw. Can’t do anything but pay using a checking acct, otherwise u still have to call customer service. ### 1/5 — Garbage. *2020-06-14* The app nor the website gives you the ability to obtain your user Id without calling customer service. No option for the app to save your log in credentials or use a finger print to log in. The app was very neglectfully put together. The engineers that developed the app must be fresh out of the vo-tech program at the community college. Would give it negative stars if I had the option. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — DON’T BOTHER *2025-07-11, version 1.8* This is hands down the worst app I’ve ever tried to use. Why tried because I can’t even set up an account. I read these reviews thinking can’t be that bad. It. Is. Has insane parameters that they dont tell you about until after you submit and once you do it makes you start from the beginning. 7 tries later it says can’t set it up with no explanation even when I did the insane parameters. User name 12 letters numbers or underscore. On top of that the QR code on the bill takes you nowhere. How in a city full of tech nerds they couldn’t find someone to build an app. This is a temu app. ### 1/5 — Latest Update *2024-07-24, version 1.7* The update today has the title of the app messed up. Why don't the IT people check all aspects of the app before publishing an update? ### 1/5 — Huntsville utilities more like Huntsville Garbage *2024-04-24* What can I say about the monopoly that is Huntsville utilities. They will steal your money, they beg you for donations at every corner, they will shut your power off after sending your bills to the WRONG address. Then they will charge you for their mistake. I even restart my phone. You want paid don’t you? ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Needs to be updated. *2025-06-30* Win3.1 on Tandy felt smoother than this. If I’m not having issues logging in then it’s issues making a payment that usually results in late penalties when I forget to go back and try for the 4th or 8th time. And make the payment process easier. I think it’s like 4 confirmations after scrolling through each to complete the payment I just authorized. Seriously? Enable Face ID for login or at the bare minimum include a way for auto login from portable devices. It’s pretty basic stuff now in 2025. Include Apple Pay. Your grandpas not the only one paying bills.
