There is sometimes where it pops when it talks so before talking it pops and then stop talking for the rest of the day or recording so I don’t know if that’s the problem, but that’s the only fix. I see other than that it’s good. It does keep my phone hot though due to the progress of AI in here. ### 5/5 — So much fun and a game changer for ADHD *2026-02-18, version 1.1.8* Just finished a cleaning session in my room lol I had to have hup slow down a little and he was a little stubborn about some items that had to stay where the were, and got fixated on my treadmill cord that has to run across the floor, but it was fun my husband and I were laughing most of the time. I’ve been designated a goblin, gremlin, and chaos raccoon 🤣 this is such a game changer for neurodivergent folks! Be sure and add voice mode when ordering. My corporate phones restrictions on “Siri when locked” make audio notifications difficult without it. Highly recommend! ### 5/5 — Absolutely LOVE *2026-02-06, version 1.1.7* In a household with application, AI & gaming loving parents and teenagers, this app makes mundane chores and tasks feel fun and challenging. It’s like a friend came over unannounced, and now they are judging me for the groceries I was too lazy or distracted to put away. By offering specific tasks along with a screenshot of the issue, I have been able to get SO much done! You can upload your own photo of yours space you need help with, but we also purchased 3 cameras we installed in the kitchen, living room and our entryway that also doubles as an office. They install almost invisible under kitchen cabinets and built in bookshelves, and the cute face on the front makes it clear which side is up. I have signed up for early access for the voice mode and cannot wait to test out that feature next! ### 5/5 — Getting things done *2026-01-08, version 1.1.7* I am definitely a person that has a problem staying on task. Feels great! We also like the fact that it was easy to add members of the home to the different spaces. ### 5/5 — ADHD essential! *2025-12-30, version 1.1.5* I typically only write reviews for things that are horrifically bad or exceptionally good. This falls right at the top of the exceptionally good column. If you don’t have ADHD, you won’t understand what a lifesaver this is. I’m 62, and have struggled with tidiness all my life. It starts with the executive dysfunction inertia, becomes overwhelmed at what the mess has become, and then the mess becomes a regular feature in my house because I can no longer look at it as something I need to do. I’ve written it off. The Hup AI camera gives me one small thing to do at a time. This morning, it suggested that I break down the empty box on the kitchen table and put it in recycling. That was all I had to do, and that made it possible. I can create my own spaces, for example, I have one camera looking at my entire kitchen and the other looking at a shelf that tend to put things on that I don’t want to deal with. Then I can tell it how to deal with it. With the shelf, I tell it to give me one task and not to give me another until I’ve completed the first. With the whole kitchen, I ask it to monitor continuously so I have a list of things to do. I’m still testing out these options so I may change them to something else You literally just tell it in conversational language, what you want to do and when you want to do it. Set up was very easy. There was an initial glitch, so I emailed the company and got an immediate response with detailed instructions so I was up and running right away. I think I need about 10 more of these 🤣. The discord is super active where the Devs actually listen to and implement feedback. I’m really excited to see how far this can go. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Ai boi é *2026-05-16, version 1.1.91* I accidentally pressed the wrong button and cannot change the voice. :( ### 1/5 — just an awful, slow, useless, unusable app *2026-05-14, version 1.1.91* they make so many claims (obviously made up) and the app just doesn’t do any of them. all of these apps made in people’s bedrooms are just…. well you can tell. so difficult to use — and i kept it for a good few months. deleted now… ### 1/5 — Email not working *2026-03-02, version 1.1.9* It asked to send verification code to email, and wouldn’t even send the email. Won’t let me do anything before email is verified ### 2/5 — Temper expectations *2026-02-24, version 1.1.9* Based on the videos on social media, this seems pretty cool, but there’s virtually no reason to order the Hup Cam, as it is completely dependent on your phone. Hups voice can only come from your phone (or Bluetooth speaker connected to your phone). The camera function on the Hup cam requires you to click the voice mode button your phone, which also forces your smart phone cam to operate. You can’t seem to separate the two. Voice lines are very limited and pretty much say the same thing. The creators say from the beginning that they built this with the idea of creating tasks such as picking up clutter; indeed, the first skill included is clutter buster. But this gets old pretty quick, as it repeats the same things over and over, and each word it says counts as part of your voice subscription. The Cam needs to be an all in one camera, microphone, and speaker. The AI CAPABILITY needs to be independent of your phone, and should include more dialogue. I would wait for a v2 to come out with the above mentioned features, or at least a significant number of updates to make it worth it. ### 2/5 — So many baffling issues *2025-12-19, version 1.1.5* The camera itself is pretty clunky and alpha – looks like it was made by a hobbyist in the garage, and there’s no way to tell up from down. Connecting it to something is also a baffling – the sticky piece isn’t strong enough to actually stick to anything - there should’ve been some kind of easy clip that you could clip to anything, or a magnet mount. The app itself is oddly non-intuitive – you can’t check placement of the Cam during install, you have to just wait until it decides to take a picture and then look at it in the app. And mine assigned tasks and then marked them complete before I had even seen them… Great idea – execution needs work. ### 3/5 — Why require a new device??? *2025-11-09, version 1.1.0* This app would be really useful if I could connect my existing cameras. What stood out most is how well it properly helps me with real-time tasks like cleaning and staying on track when executive function is a challenge. Instead of feeling like a static tool, it actually feels interactive and is extremely motivating in the moment. I was hesitant going in, concerned about this being a scam but am very happy to say it’s legit. The added voice mode makes the experience, it turns the app into something that feels more like a motivating personality rather than just another productivity app. Very happy with it! ### 5/5 — ADHD APPROVED DONT WALK RUNNNN *2026-03-23, version 1.1.91* Pros: hup is amazing. Personality love that he can speak freely but stay on topic. And joke and more. Cons: have to open voice mode every time. App dependency for hup to even work… hopefully this will be fixed because longer term use not sure just yet. . Final thoughts: Will have to see if the company will listen to the customer and actually use the feedback from everyone and I would really like it if it didn’t run straight off my phone… be more like a ring cam but better but with the same hup…. Have him open voice chat/ mode when you say “ Hey Hup” like Siri for example. Have it run off WiFi , Bluetooth, an be able to see what he sees on the cam but just not so app dependent…. Granted I don’t have the hup cameras or anything, but I can still use my phone to get images. I tried this app at work, and hup is very helpful.
