### 3/5 — Money money money!

*2026-07-19, version 5.1*

I got this app years ago. The features are great if you pay. Each time I use it, there’s another feature that’s no longer available and is now a part of the paid program. I’m deleting it. It’s no longer useful.

### 3/5 — Money hog

*2026-07-18, version 5.1*

This app used to be good. Now you have to pay for basic data. No one cares anymore about the average individual looking for information important to life.

### 3/5 — Paid for lifetime premium

*2025-10-09, version 5.1*

I paid for premium on app. Now it is gone. Can you help or fix

### 1/5 — Used to be great, not so much now

*2025-05-24, version 5.1*

I have been using this app for years and have always loved it. But now, the greed for more money has taken over and they are constantly pushing for you to purchase the premium graphics. You can’t even get through a session of looking at info for a coming hurricane without the pop-up for premium graphics popping up. It’s totally intrusive and has become a form of harassment!

### 1/5 — Have tried to cancel my subscription to this app

*2025-04-01, version 5.1*

Have tried to cancel my subscription twice and I’m told the email can’t be delivered and that the address isn’t good. How do I cancel Premium membership?????Initially, I liked the app and the information is helpful. But by the second hurricane season the delivery felt overdone. I prefer things to be straightforward with less flash.

### 3/5 — Only for major storms

*2024-10-21, version 5.1*

I’m disappointed in this app. If you are interested only in named storms of Tropical Storm strength or higher which threaten the US mainland, then it’s for you. But there is little to no reporting of Potential Tropical Disturbances or Tropical Depressions, nor of full-blown hurricanes that are not threatening the Us mainland. (The info on Hurricane Oscar, currently parked over Cuba, is over 48 hours old and the site it reporting “no threat to land”.) Given the quick growth of storms in the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico this season, we need earlier and more current information. And unless you pay for the Premium graphics, you get basically a reposting of info already available from the National Hurricane Center.

### 2/5 — App is too cluttered with ads

*2024-10-14, version 5.1*

Even though I upgraded I am constantly being bombarded with upgrade ad. And none of it fits on the ipad correctly. Move on people.

### 2/5 — Pop up request for money

*2024-09-30, version 5.1*

I loved the App and even paid $25 for the premium content. Now the app keeps popping up an ad even though I already paid. If they would stop those full screen pop ups, I would give 5 stars. I will certainly not be paying for these annoying advertisements again. Especially since I paid for the premium content. I can understand having those annoying pop up in the free app. But once paid, they should go away…

### 2/5 — Layout and links

*2024-09-25, version 5.1*

If you like tapping what should be a link and going nowhere you will love this app. One of the hardest sites to navigate. Layout needs to be user friendly.

### 1/5 — Quit bugging me…

*2024-09-21, version 5.1*

…about upgrading to premium. I paid for your app already and just need basic information about coming hurricanes. I’m thinking about deleting this app and using the NOAA website to get the information I need.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Used to be a nice app

*2026-08-14, version 5.1*

Used to work fine. Latest redesign gives you lots of things that look like you could be able to tap but they do nothing. Also seems like everything has moved behind a paywall. I made a bookmark for the National Hurricane Center… easy to use and more info.

### 1/5 — Suddenly behind a paywall

*2026-07-20, version 5.1*

This app was free to use for years. Suddenly everything of any use is behind a paywall. What a terrible thing to do to long-time users.

### 1/5 — Used to be my go-to app

*2026-07-19, version 5.1*

Used to be a great app to keep me up-to-date on hurricane activity. Now it seems, most all graphics are hidden behind a paywall. Guess I’m back to the App Store to find something else.

### 1/5 — Used to be a great app

*2026-07-15, version 5.1*

Used to be a great app. Can’t even log in any more. Why did you make it do difficult?

### 1/5 — Use to be good

*2025-08-23, version 5.1*

I’ve had the premium subscription for years. It isn’t updated like it once was, right now some of the information is over 24 hours old.

### 1/5 — Used to be great, not anymore

*2025-08-03, version 5.1*

I don’t even receive notifications anymore and I have the app set to receive them. The last alert discussion shown was July 4, 2025. Currently, there is a new invest showing on the app but I’ve received nothing. I found out from a competitors app for hurricanes!

### 1/5 — Scam

*2025-07-06, version 5.1*

Signed up, charged my credit card. 1 week later unable to sign in. Says enter email to get login / password. Replies email not on file. Attempt to contact owner, since I use Gmail. unable to send email because email is disabled.

### 1/5 — Gulf of MEXICO

*2025-06-29, version 5.1*

There goes any hope of accuracy and truth. Get your name right. Don’t kiss the rear of the orange creep!

### 1/5 — Convoluted app, annoying pop ups

*2025-05-29, version 5.1*

It has always had a poor interface but at least we hadn’t been subjected to constant popups to purchase enhanced graphics in the past! Contrary to what it says, we don’t get the pop up periodically, we get it EVERY SINGLE TIME! So when I’m trying to get details on a hurricane possibly headed for me, do I want to have to close this money grab EVERY SINGLE TIME???? NO!!!! Also unclear is why these enhanced graphics are not included in pro!

And why does the description reference the 2023 season? It is 2025! So busy with adding even more noise to an already ugly interface to attend to details? UG! Finally, notice that most of the positive reviews that are “most helpful” are from 13 years ago!

I’m over it. Deleting and using a different hurricane app that actually gives me the info I need.

### 1/5 — Useless notifications

*2025-05-26, version 5.1*

Why does this app constantly show notifications when there are no hurricanes, just marketing messages???

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Wouldn’t be without it!

*2025-10-05, version 5.1*

Have used this Hurricane Tracker for several years and wouldn’t be without it…no matter if it’s a mild or an active hurricane season. Having it is my reassurance that I will have the information I need if I need it. Small price to pay for Premium and the peace of mind knowing I can refer to it, trust it and make plans if necessary in good timing.

### 5/5 — Clunky UI, but used for years

*2025-08-14, version 5.1*

Live very near the Gulf of Mexico in SETX. 100% useful. When the wind is wailing and the rain pelting, this app brings in all the data for a clear picture of TS activity. Trustworthy. =Peace=

### 5/5 — Exceptional App!!

*2025-07-05, version 5.1*

Keeps you up to date information and the Lifetime @ $65 is a steal for an app that actually does what it says it will do. I’m on my 5th year membership and very impressed with the results completely

### 5/5 — Great

*2025-06-05, version 5.1*

I'm a snowbird and have a home in Florida. App is a good source of info on hurricanes.
I get all the information I need without going to the "The Weather Channel".

### 5/5 — Hurricane tracker for iPad write review

*2025-06-04, version 5.1*

I like this this it shows me were hurricane going that’s why I rated five stars

### 5/5 — I wish I could give it a 5 star

*2024-10-19, version 5.1*

But I can’t because it is always an hour late with information! Even today I got a notice from the national hurricane center that Oscar had formed. Well, almost an hour went by until HT posted it. And during Helene, the 1 PM advisories weren’t posted until almost 2PM! And that was typical of all advisories.

### 5/5 — Very well done

*2024-10-06, version 5.1*

I live in hurricane alley in the Cape Fear area of NC. This is a good app for keeping up with everything I need to know. i have been using this app about 15 years. If you need hurricane info, this is a good one!

### 5/5 — Info

*2024-10-05, version 5.1*

Great up to date information.

### 5/5 — Hurricane alley

*2024-09-11, version 5.1*

Living in south Louisiana this is my go to app for hurricanes. Very informative and timely for us down here.

### 5/5 — Hurricane tracker

*2024-09-10, version 5.1*

Best app out there right now. I live in Corpus Christi Tx. Used this app during Harvey. It's the best app out there. I deleted the other hurricane apps that I had. Keep up the good work. We , on the gulf coast need this app. Thank you for your work. Just wanted to thank you for all the work you do on this app. It's still the best one out there. This app. Was so useful to me this hurricane season. Thanks again.
