The number of times I’ve turned my phone off, held my tongue multiple ways, tried to re install and connect has not produced any joy. Pity as the info available when it was working was fantastic. Please fix it so others don’t have the frustration that many of us who couldn’t access it have had. ### 5/5 — Great app *2025-10-12, version 1.59* This app works great, has a simple layout, and has useful information. I have used it every day to verify events on board or to check menus. The only improvement I would love to see would be to have a map showing the ship’s location. ### 4/5 — Finicky *2025-07-24, version 1.59* App worked on my phone. It didn’t work on my spouse’s. Figured out halfway through the trip that we could get his to work if he didn’t also have cell service enabled. (I had turned mine off already). Once it loaded, the app was a great resource for timing and activities (and menus!) for the cruise we were on. ### 1/5 — Wrong Itinerary *2025-04-29, version 1.59* The itinery in the app bares no resemblance to the actual itinerary. I am on the boat as I write and the app may as well be the itinerary for disneyland for all the use it is. ### 1/5 — Not happy…… *2025-02-20, version 1.59* Can’t get the app to open. “We are looking for the ship….” it keeps repeating. Deleted it and reinstalled, but no dice. Hopefully, the ship is more seaworthy than the app!! ### 1/5 — Pointless *2025-02-18, version 1.59* The app has useful content when it works, but most of the time it just cycles endlessly trying to locate the ship, draining your battery and not updating. Just delete and go to the info desk. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2024-03-15, version 1.54* The app’s intro stated you can download it at home… I downloaded it on board after check-in and after connecting to the ship’s wi-fi. When I opened the app it said that to use it I had to be on board, checked in and in the ship’s wi-fi. Which I am and for two days I have tried to use the app: it us continually showing the drawing of a lighthouse and saying “looking for your ship”. Very frustrating. ### 1/5 — Not working at all *2023-12-21, version 1.52* Very disappointing - looks like it would be a really useful app. Says that it tracks onboard expenditure, lectures, excursions, ports etc … all the useful stuff. But according to the reception onboard it hasn’t worked for months!!!!! Very very disappointing and not what we had expected from Hurtigruten. Looks like this will be a very different experiment to our previous voyage with Hurtigruten. ### 1/5 — Sad *2023-08-01, version 1.44* Won’t update to reflect that I am connected to ships network which I am. ### 5/5 — Great experience *2023-06-15, version 1.43* We felt at home on MS Maud right from the start. Crew were fantastic, couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. The expedition teams were some helpful and encouraging to see and try new things. They really ensure you get the most out of your cruise. They also provide much of the entertainment as the cruise went on. You almost forget you are helping to do real science with the science team and on the science boat. It was also great to meet the young energetic people doing the Orca scheme.
