## What is HushChip?

HushChip turns a blank NFC smartcard into a secure offline vault for your most sensitive data.

Your seed phrases, passwords, and recovery codes are stored on a tamper-resistant JavaCard secure element — not on your phone, not in the cloud, nowhere else. Tap your card, enter your PIN, access your secrets. Close the app and they're gone from your phone completely.

HOW IT WORKS
- Tap your HushChip card to your phone
- Enter your PIN
- View, add, or manage your secrets
- Close the app — nothing stays on your phone

SECURITY
- All data stored on the card's secure element, encrypted with AES
- Communication between app and card is encrypted via ECDH secure channel
- PIN protection with lockout after failed attempts
- No data stored on your phone — ever
- No cloud sync, no accounts, no analytics
- Clipboard auto-clears after 30 seconds

BACKUP
- Back up your entire card to a second HushChip with one tap
- If you lose a card, your backup has everything

OPEN SOURCE
- This app is fully open source
- Every security claim is verifiable in the code
- Built on the SeedKeeper applet by Satochip

REQUIRES HARDWARE
This app requires a HushChip NFC smartcard to function. Cards are available at hushchip.co.uk.

Works with iPhone 7 and later (NFC capable devices).
