## What is Husvarde?

Husvarde is a maintenance diary for your home's fixtures — bulbs, toilets, air conditioners, and everything else you'd rather not forget to service.

Track what matters
Log each fixture's maintenance history and notes, and set a maintenance date so you always know what's next. Husvarde gives you a clear status at a glance, plus reminders on your schedule — so you never have to guess, and never have to dig for it either.

Optional AR tagging, room by room
Point your iPhone or iPad at a fixture and tag its exact spot. Husvarde remembers where it is, so you can walk through your home and see what needs attention without digging through a list. Scan and tag as many rooms as your home needs — each one keeps its own saved map, and Husvarde always confirms which room you're in before you start tagging. AR is entirely optional — every feature works fully without it.

Built to respect your data
No account, no login, no ads. Your fixtures live on your device. If you choose to unlock sync, it rides on your own iCloud account — Husvarde never operates a server or sees your data.

Organize your way
Group fixtures by building, level, or room. Add notes and a full history for each one. Search and filter as your home's fixture list grows.

Free to start
Track up to 20 fixtures and use AR tagging at no cost. A one-time unlock removes the fixture limit and syncs your maintenance history and notes across your devices. AR-tagged locations stay on the device where they were placed, with cross-device AR sync planned for a future update.

Husvarde is provided for informational tracking purposes only and is not a substitute for professional inspection, maintenance, or repair services.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 2.1 — 2026-09-21

Husvarde now speaks 10 more languages, and gets a Home Screen widget.

- Home Screen widget — see how many fixtures are overdue or due soon, and your next reminder, without opening the app.
- Available in 11 languages — Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Italian, Norwegian Bokmål, and Filipino, alongside English.
- Repeating maintenance — set a fixture to repeat every few days, weeks, months, or years; the next date is scheduled when you log a service.
- Attach photos and PDFs to a fixture — receipts, manuals, warranty cards (included with the one-time unlock).
- Warranty tracking — record when a warranty starts and how long it lasts, and see when it expires.
- Delete by room — remove all of a room's fixtures at once.
- A redesigned fixture screen with one-tap Log Service and Add Note.
- Fixed: turning on a reminder with the default "1 week before" timing didn't always schedule a notification. Open a fixture's Maintenance Date page once to repair it on existing fixtures.
- Fixed: fixtures deleted after unlocking could reappear once iCloud sync caught up.
- Fixed: several AR scanning flows (Reset Scan, cancelling a new room's scan) now behave consistently.

### 2.0 — 2026-09-08

Multi-room AR support. Husvarde now remembers more than one room — scan and tag as many rooms as your home needs, each with its own saved map. Just confirm which room you're in before you start tagging, and Husvarde takes care of the rest.

Also in this update:
- A visual aiming reticle and a "Place Marker" button, for tagging hard-to-reach fixtures without stretching across the screen.
- A first-time tap guide that shows you exactly how to place a marker.
- AR photo capture — save a snapshot of your tagged fixtures straight to Photos.
- Room names are now suggested automatically when tagging a fixture's location.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-07-10

This update improves AR marker placement reliability, especially on iPad, and fixes the app's name displaying incorrectly on the Home Screen.

### 1.0 — 2026-07-10

No release notes.
