After the update in early February much functionality disappeared. The temp scroll no longer works and you can’t toggle the switch to “ turn on sauna automatically “ when you schedule. An exoensive investment with little to no app functionality. ### 1/5 — Pointless app *2026-02-23, version 3.1.0* I can no longer change temperature through app. Randomly shuts off sauna while pre-heating. Just not well executed for an expensive heater. ### 2/5 — What happened to the timer?? *2026-02-17* This app has never been the best, but this newest update made it even worse. I have always used the timer function so that the heater will automatically start running at a certain time so it’s ready when I need it. That is no longer working. No matter what time I try and set it for, it always reverts to 23:30 hours. ### 2/5 — Instability *2026-02-17, version 3.1.0* This app is extremely simple, yet it behaves unpredictably. I have been using it for about a year now. Sometimes it works perfectly, and other times it just stops for no apparent reason. The heating turns off even though nothing was changed. The instability is frustrating and makes it hard to rely on. 2 / 5 ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2026-02-17, version 3.1.0* First time reviewing an app here so that’s how bad the OS of this App. I’ve had my sauna for over a year and there is no excuse for shipping a product this bad for a premium sauna. It cannot set times, you cannot adjust the clock in the settings and it’s awful for scheduling your session ahead of time. So be prepared to hit the button and wait for your sauna to heat up. Wild times. ### 2/5 — App is VERY finicky *2026-02-16* Apparently the last app “update” messed something up, we can’t control temp from app anymore, and the control on sauna is basically unusable because you can’t read the tiny poorly lit digital display….a new controller is something like $1700? I’ve tried all the options. Emailed Huum. Standing by for a hopeful fix. I cannot tell you how bad this app is. It used to work sometimes, like half or 2/3 of the time and now it doesn’t work at all. I used to use the sauna in the morning. Now if I want to use it, I have to get up at like 3am so that it is warm by 6 AM which I’m not willing to do. Yes, it cycles so much that it takes 3 hours to get to operating temp. Even the control on the sauna is glitchy. I will have to save up for a Harvia. That appears to be my only choice at this point. ### 2/5 — App is average at best *2026-02-11* Just got my heater set up, heater is great. The app, not great but just “ok”. The new update just came out a few days ago (2/8/26) and now I can’t click on the calender to set up times to start it. It’s very disappointing spending thousands of dollars on something only to have it work “just ok”. I’ve also emailed Huum customer support with zero response. Impossible to configure. Regularly forgets settings. Strongly suggest you spend another $500 on your development team and get someone over the age of 11 to develop it. It’s full of bugs and basically useless. My only recourse is to go to the controller and totally re-set it which is a huge pain. To make this worse, it will still allow you to schedule, but will then fail at the scheduled time. You can turn on Sauna and light and manage temperature from anywhere. Its got a slight delay of about 4-5 seconds when you operate LED lights but no big issue - really don't get the Low rating must be tactical from a competitor ### 4/5 — Ok so far *2026-01-12, version 3.0.20* Pain to set up (all sorts of legal ‘safety questions’) but seems to be working flawlessly so far. When I first opened it it was in a foreign language and no way to change it. I had to delete the app, then reload and it asked me what language I wanted, then selected English and it now stays there. I had to play with it to figure out how the app worked since there is no Help with instructions or prompts. After three days I have it figured out and it works fine. No issues. Fixes would be to have an English selection button that appears no matter what language is selected. Another fix is an instruction manual and or prompts in app, for the app use. My Wi-Fi sometimes loses connection and I push the button or it simply gets restored. Just saw there is a new version of the app coming out that seems to remove the features that I count on.
